Arrived around 4:00 on a rainy Saturday with friends. Looking for a cool drink and a bite to eat near Hollywood Young Circle. Wasn't sure what to expect with the name Tipsy Boar. Walked in a large beautiful bar to one side (which was full) and tables on the other. We decided to eat outside on a large high top as we were a party of six. The large fan outside kept us cool. To start I ordered the watermelon sangria which was amazing and favorable also from 4 to 6:00 they have happy hour to dollars off drinks. I also ordered the Cuban sandwich cooked to perfection served with fries. Our friends ordered several appetizers which are pictured. Everyone enjoyed their meals and stated they would return. Service was amazing and the food came out in a timely manner. Can't wait to visit to try other items on the menu.

Second time I'd been here , last time was for lunch and I had the wedge salad and it was good . Supper was delish , we started with a glass of white wine and a mojito. Ordered one of the specials which was escargot , it was delicious with arugula and toast . Then we had a prosciutto pizza , again delicious. We ended it with the Lobster Mac and Cheese and I wasn't as impressed with it as the rest of the meal . It was ok , not cheesy enough and not flavorful for my liking . Great inside and outside seating areas , great vibes and good service.

Came in for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. Service was friendly and quick! We ordered 2 beers, the slider combo, and the goat cheese and arugula flatbread. The beers were nice and cold. The food was just okay. The flatbread especially was very dry, almost cracker-like. I would come again but just for happy hour drinks.

Comfortable outdoor seating and good noise level where you can enjoy the music but still have a conversation (can you tell my age? ) Over server was very nice and helpful, we got timely service. Would def revisit.

My friend found this place and we decided to check it out. We came here on a Saturday night around 8 PM. It wasn't crowded. We were able to get a table right away. It was only three of us. It's not a huge or big establishment. It's pretty tight inside so if it was crowded, I probably wouldn't feel comfortable sitting inside, but they also have outside seating. We ordered the duck wings on the appetizer menu. They were just OK. I wouldn't order it again. It's not that it was bad but they need to pump up the flavor or seasoning on the wings. We also ordered burgers. I had the boar burger and my friend had another type of burger that I can't remember the name maybe I'll remember it later. The boar burger was good, but once again I feel like they are not bringing the flavors to the meat. My friend enjoyed his burger, but he tried the boar burger from us and he said our burger was better. Overall cool place. Our server was really nice. Her name was May I think. The Barr selection isn't that wide the tequila that I wanted they didn't have and I think I asked for three different tequilas and they didn't have any of them. All alcoholic drinks are $14.

Good location in Hollywood but wasn't overly impressed. The menu was huge but most people were ordering pizza. The cocktails were very syrup heavy and overall not good. The food was okay but nothing over the top. The place is huge but it wasn't super busy when I went. A place for a quick bite not a super nice meal.

Great first visit! The food was delicious -- my husband loved his steak and my Italian sausage broccoli pizza was surprisingly good. Drinks were strong and tasty. Our server, Chino, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome. The ambience was nice too. I'm giving it four stars because the water didn't taste great, and sitting outside meant dealing with the cigar smell from the shop next door. I'd definitely return, just inside next time.

The goat cheese croquettes were delicious and creamy with a sweet apricot sauce. The waitress was very attentive to our needs, keeping our drinks full as we ate. The eclectic decor of the restaurant made for an interesting backdrop as we ate. I am looking forward to returning and trying other menu items.

I stumbled across this spot on my way to my favorite kava bar after a day at the beach. It's a causal pub that has a laid back vibe. I've been twice and had good, friendly service each time. Everyone is pretty chill and accommodating. For starters I tried the goat cheese apricot and thyme croquettes and the lamb gyro croquettes. Both were good but the goat cheese was better in my opinion. I had the Tipsy pasta at the recommendation of my server and it was really good. I also ordered the house salad.

We were a party of ten, we went to dine at The Tipsy Boar. We sat outside, so our large group could see and hear each other. The inside, however seems like it's more of the place to be. It seems like we were forgotten where we were, there were other patrons also sitting outside. Eventually a waitress came out with a notepad and a pen, and asked "what would you like?" I told her "some menus please". None of us received menus. We got a few of the Crudiola Pizzas to share, also the Green Apple & Grana Padana Salad with Shrimp. This pizza was very tasty. It was a thin crust with Mascarpone, making it very cheesy and decadent. It was generously topped with prosciutto, arugula and more cheese. The salad was very fresh, it had a lot of potential, but it was very dry. I tried tracking down the waitress to add some dressing, but she never came. My Raspberry Pomegranate Sangria was a great choice. It was sweet and paired with my pizza very well. I feel like if we were seated inside the service would have been better. With so many other places to dine in the area, I probably wouldn't return here again.

Talk about comfort food. Omg the beet salad is huge. My husband and i shared the appetizer salad and steak. The wait staff at the bar always extremely kind and attentive. You got to try this place.

Pub Crawl - 1st stop... Parked on Harrison Street and saw a cool patio bar for happy hour from 4p - 6p - $2 off all craft brew and $8 apps. Walked in and sat at the bar and met with the bartender, Anthony, who gave us some food options and recommended highly the Sliders - pork belly, pulled pork and cheeseburger. We loved all three. We ordered the Watermelon Martini and the Tipsylicious 3Sons. Crazy delish both drinks. They have a big chalk board on the wall with forty craft tap beers. They also have a gas oven pumping out pizzas. The bathroom had beer decor on the walls and was spotless.

Ask the Community - The Tipsy Boar

    Do they have Free parking?

No, not free, but they do have a parking lot, with an attendant. And the cost without tip is only five dollars. I think it's a good deal. You do have to go around the back to get into the lot. Bring cash.

    Are you dog friendly?

They have an outside dining area where dogs are allowed.

    Happy hour hours anyone?

    2 PM - 7 PM and 11 PM - Close everyday.

Is it more of a local scene or tourists?

More for the locals but it's easy access to the tourists on the beach. Worth it to check out burgers and pizza are awesome and tons of beers on tap.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

The restaurant is conveniently located right on the downtown strip with free street parking nearby, which is always a plus. The atmosphere was inviting from the moment we walked in. The host welcomed us and told us we could sit anywhere we liked, so we chose a quieter table away from the bar area. There is also a stage section that looked perfect for live music nights, although there was no entertainment during our visit. Overall, the ambiance was trendy, relaxed, and had a great neighborhood feel. They also appeared to have some very good happy hour specials for those who drink. Our server was very sweet and offered several recommendations. We decided to share the burrata appetizer and the skirt steak dinner. The steak arrived first and looked absolutely beautiful. The quality of the meat itself was outstanding and cooked very well. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable charred flavor from what seemed like a dirty grill, which took away from an otherwise excellent steak. It was disappointing because the quality of the meat was truly superb. The fries were also surprisingly good and almost tasted closer to sweet potato fries. At that point, we realized our burrata appetizer had been forgotten. Once we flagged down our server, she immediately corrected the mistake and brought it out quickly. Thankfully, it was absolutely delicious and ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. The fresh burrata paired perfectly with the heirloom tomatoes and tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. Toward the end of dinner, service became difficult again. We were ready for more water, a box, and the check, but our server was nowhere to be found despite the restaurant not being particularly busy since it was still early in the evening. I eventually had to get up and ask the bartender for assistance. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance and appreciated the quality of the food. There were definitely some service inconsistencies, but the restaurant has a lot of potential and several dishes that stood out.

By the time we arrived, we were absolutely starving. Since it was Saturday night, every restaurant had a wait list, but we decided to stick it out. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating and is located on the second floor near the large slide area. While waiting for our table, we found a nice outdoor seating area to relax. Once seated, we were happy to have a quieter outdoor table with a view of the slide since the inside was extremely loud and busy. Cue hungry people making questionable food decisions. We started with the chicken wings as an appetizer while desperately waiting to place our dinner order. Our server seemed very overwhelmed by the Saturday night rush, and another staff member actually brought over our appetizer before we were finally able to place our order. I ordered the cheeseburger with truffle fries, and my daughter ordered her usual favorite, chicken fingers. Unfortunately, after nearly 30 minutes, our server returned with the check before we had even received our food. Once we explained, he was very apologetic and assured us the order would be right out. Thankfully, my burger was absolutely worth the wait. It was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time: juicy, flavorful, and more than filling enough on its own. Honestly, the truffle fries were unnecessary because the burger completely stole the show. I only managed to eat half. My daughter thought her meal was just okay. Service throughout the evening was slow, but it was clear the staff was doing their best during a very busy night. Between the wait for a table and the delays with food and the check, dinner ended up taking almost 3 hours total. Overall, the food, especially the burger, would definitely bring me back. Next time though, I would probably avoid Saturday night.
