Over the years, hundreds of sit-down locations were phased out along with the buffets! They just brought back the buffet here and the nostalgia bug bit me so off I went. Arriving- It's on US Route 27 North with its own private parking lot so simple access. The outside of the building looks like every other sit-down Hut except the color scheme is slightly different. Ambience- This location recently had a complete remodel which maybe is related to the buffet coming back. It's bright & airy and the tables are not crowded. I was very comfortable. Adult Libations- Back in the day most Huts had a beer & wine license. This one is dry. That's a bit of a surprise because B&W licenses in this part of FL are cheap and relatively easy to obtain. Go figure! Customer Service- The buffet begins at 11:00 am and my ticket says I arrived at 11:06. The place was already 50% full and people were streaming in. When I left there was a very short wait. Despite the activity, my service was in a word, spectacular! My server was friendly and very efficient. My plates were whisked away like magic and with a smile. Checkout took seconds. Six stars! Buffet- It hasn't changed much over the decades. I built a salad with a base of lettuce and added cucumber, mushrooms, onions, chopped egg, peppers, cheese and topped it with ranch dressing. Everything was fresh and kept cool. I added a warm bread stick, and it was a fine beginning. Next came multiple slices of pizza, mostly thin crust, and a heap of penne with red sauce. Rince & repeat. Back in the day, many Hut buffets offered a desert pizza. That was missing here but there were cinnamon breadsticks. The buffet + soft drink + tax = $17.07 and I was stuffed. Add a tip and it was a $20 lunch. Not a surprise post-pandemic. Conclusion- You need to manage your expectations when you eat at an inexpensive casual buffet. I noted that a very popular Chinese buffet nearby was about the same price. In Yelp terms, 3 stars = OK and 4 = Good. This experience was somewhere in the middle. The customer service was so excellent I'm going with 4!

Currently, in my teeny tiny town, I have 4 big pizza chains and1local business that is by far the best and also the most expensive. I've used the local guy many times, but I still use Domino's and here's why- Location- They are on Main Street with a great parking lot, and I drive by them almost every day. I even use car-side delivery so it's super convenient! Ambience- Clean and neat and that's enough said. App- There is almost always a deal available. It would be extremely rare for me to pay full price. On this visit any pie I wanted was 50% off! That's hard to beat. Customer Service- The tracker on the app works great and they are virtually always on time for my pickup. The folks are polite and I virtually always get a smile. Food- This visit I ordered a large MeatZZa for $10 which is a great deal. As usual it was baked perfectly as you can see from my picture. It was tasty and great value. So why would you visit here instead of a million other pizza joints? Let's look at the details. Ratings- About 300 reviews between the two big rating sites and very inconsistent. About 3.5 stars overall. Arriving- Couldn't be easier as it's directly off US Route 27 South. This is primarily a drive-thru location but there is an adequate parking lot for walk-in pickups. Ambience- There is almost nothing to see except a counter. Drive-Thru is king here! The App- It's great with all the usual bells & whistles. Order 20 minutes out and just drive around the building and boom; you're on your way! Customer Service- It's usually just someone at the window for me and I've never had a problem. Value- Insanely good! Thir large pies run from $7 and change for a plain up to $15 for tons of toppings in many varieties. That's not counting their deals that are frequent. This beats all the other chains by far. I can get a much better pie from a Ma&Pa place, but it will take me longer and will cost me as much as double! Did you know they make their dough in-house? Yup. they do. They also make their sauce in-house although it's not completely from scratch. Food- They have stuff other than pizza like Crazy Puffs and assorted Crazy Sticks but I'm going to focus on the pies. This visit I ordered the large 5 Meat Feast @$15. It was ready when the app predicted, and I picked it up piping hot from the drive-thru window. It was baked perfectly, as usual, as you can see from my picture. They have mastered the art of dough/sauce/cheese/toppings ratio so that the slices don't fall apart as you try to eat them. Much appreciated! Overall, it was a completely satisfying chain pie. Conclusion- If I was comparing them to just the chains I would give them 4 stars overall. Compare them to all pies available to me and they get 3. This has all been revamped. The new system is "Every 4th Footlong Free!" 1 Footlong = 1 stamp 6-inch sub = 1/2 a stamp 3 stamps = 1 free Footlong This seems much simpler than the old system and I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs. There is also still Subway Cash. I'll leave it to you to read the fine print. For this visit, as usual, I used the App to order the Footlong, 5-Meat Sub with all my usual add-ons. The App performed perfectly. Ambience- This is a clean, typical Subway. I always order on the App and never eat in so the only thing I really care about is cleanliness and it's always been spotless. Customer Service- My sub was ready before the time predicted. That's normal here. The folks smile and use my name so it's all good.
