Our table of 3 (with a reservation) sat for 20 minutes before anyone even arrived to take our drink order. The experience did not improve from there. My "truffle" pasta arrived and wasn't even close to hot. It had been sitting long enough that the pasta was getting gummy and the sauce was off-putting; clearly flavored with truffle oil and not actual truffles. The mushrooms were chewy and it was just a failure. If anyone at our table had gotten a good dish, I would have written off my disappointment as poor ordering on my part but none of the items we ordered were good. If I'm being generous, I'd call this restaurant average - at best. Skip the wait and frustration, and just make yourself some spaghetti at home. read more

The food tasted less like a fresh Italian meal and more like reheated leftovers that had been aggressively salted to cover their past. Every dish arrived heavy, tired, and strangely lifeless like it had already lived a full day before reaching the table. The atmosphere didn't help. The host greeted guests with a grim, unmoving stare that could stop a hungry crowd in its tracks. Instead of welcoming people in, she seemed to quietly discourage them from staying, managing the front door with all the warmth of a closed sign. Between the over-salted, reheated-tasting food and the chilling reception at the entrance, the whole visit felt less like dining out and more like being politely warned to try somewhere else . We made a reservation for inside. They have covered outside seating as well. Service and food were excellent! They start with fresh baked bread service with herbed olive oil and have a carafe of filtered water on the table, which is a nice touch. We had the mussels in lobster bisque and lasagna. Wow! Amazing amazing restaurant and delicious food! After starting with the crispy flatbread and the gorgeously seasoned seasoned truffle fries (that come with a 10/10 mustard dipping sauce) we knew our main meal would be something we need to tell the world about. And we were oh so correct! My husband got the frutti di mare spaghetti which he really enjoyed from the experience to the flavors. I got the agnolotti which was so divine and delicious. It felt like we were invited to eat at a 4 star restaurant with how great the service was. We chose to sit outside on a gloomy beautiful day and It made our lunch so much better. I was really disappointed with the four cheese pasta. It was incredibly bland, dry, and honestly hard to enjoy. The sauce seemed completely broken... there was watery liquid pooled all over the plate while the pasta itself somehow still tasted dry. The cheese had no rich flavor at all and the texture was unpleasant. For a dish that's supposed to be creamy and comforting, this missed the mark badly. Definitely not worth the price, and I wouldn't order it again. read more

This is a precious place to have incredible food. The atmosphere is peaceful. Eli our server was delightful and knowledgeable. We had Grandma's meatballs and spaghetti and the Frutti di Mare Seafood pasta. Both large portions- making it great for leftovers! The Ceaser salad was good as well. The wine selection is terrific. This is a very unassuming restaurant in a strip mall but they made the outdoor seating very charming with twinkle lights. The service was good and there were lots of interesting things on the menu. We really filled up on the appetizers and bread/butter. I got the short rib which was ok- would recommend getting a pasta instead. The butternut squash ravioli was delicious, I would recommend. The prosciutto and burrata appetizer was tasty- I especially liked the cheese/tomatoes and vinegar but the meat was presented in a novel way. I liked the white sangria too, not too sweet. read more

This restaurant is a gem! We discovered it Christmas Day-my birthday. I had planned a quiet day at home and husband did not want me to cook. After breakfast out and walking through a refuge-we took a nap and woke up to all restaurants closing. Trattoria was still open for a few hours so we called and they said to come on over. There were fire poles lit and the decor inside and out was great. We loved our server and the food was amazing. I had a seafood pasta and husband had a mushroom pasta. We then went back on Valentines (made a reservation) and to celebrate my stepdaughter's birthday. The food has been consistently excellent as well as the service. We love this place! read more

This place is just average all across the board. We were not impressed with the flavor of the food. Their menu mentions homemade but it tasted very bland and not very authentic italian. The service was interesting as well. We started off with a server who seemed very attentive, once our food order was put in, he completely ignored us and some other server came to check on us finally as we were finishing our entree's. Then at the end of us eating, he came and asked about our dessert order after another server took it and was there to close us out. Not sure if that's how they roll there or what but it was never explained. For what you pay for, we just don't think it's worth it. Definitely better italian in Brevard. 2 stars because they have nice ambience and the affogato was really good. read more

The environment is nice, service was good, staff was friendly. Bread was good. Meatballs with the sauce were tasteless, unfortunately. My husband have the short ribs, which was good, but lacking salt. I had the special of the day. I understood that the pasta will be stuffed with the filling, but not. Our group was in the mood for Italian and this place is warm and very family friendly. Everyone was super nice and friendly. We did get complimentary bread which came in a rustic tomato can which was cute. Bread was delicious. I ended up ordering the meatballs for appetizers and it was ok. I personally didn't like it but my wife liked them. I like mine more rustic with texture. These kinda reminded me of the ones chef boyardee cans which I grew up with. And it was saucy and cheese on top. Again. That's my personal opinion. It's a 3 out of 5 for me. We also ordered the four cheese pasta which they use the wheel of cheese topped with pistachios. It was different and delicious. We also tried the butternut squash tortelli which was tasty as well. Overall this place is nice and I would go again. I'll attach some pictures so you can see. One of my superpowers is finding the best Italian pasta joints in the most unassuming places. Don't let the location scare you off, because if you look past the sketchy strip mall vibes you will find a cozy and delicious Italian restaurant. The vibes are immaculate, when you step in it's like stepping into a family friend's home. Everyone here is so welcoming and charismatic, the service is absolutely impeccable. Starting off with the bread- oh my god. So fresh and warm -- we got two servings of it (and yes, still had room for dessert). I love that they serve the bread in old tomato cans- such a cute touch. For pasta dishes we got the mushroom and truffle pappardelle and the spaghetti and burrata with smoked pancetta. The mushroom pappardelle was creamy and the pappardelle was the perfect vehicle for the sauce. I would choose the pappardelle over the spaghetti, but the saltiness from the smoked pancetta with the creamy burrata was delicious. For dessert we got the tiramisu that's served in a flower pot -- the little things really do make it so cute and memorable. I'm really glad that we found this date night spot here. read more

This is a great local Italian option! The vibe is homey with red checkered tablecloths and friendly staff. Upon seating, you're greeted with warm bread and a mixture of balsamic and olive oil. The meatballs appetizer is delicious - I loved the red sauce. As for entrees, I recommend the four cheese pasta with sausage and finished in a cheese wheel. The first time I came here I had the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare which is mixed with Scallops, Clams, Mussels, Calamari, Shrimp, Lightly Spiced Seafood Sauce. I thought it was great but my stomach didn't agree. The second time I tried the spaghetti and meatballs along with the bread and olive oil. Which I thought to be great. The sangria was great as well. The first time, we came for my birthday, and it was delicious, but I wanted to wait until we tried it again before leaving a review. I've noticed that many places are good once but then not so good the next time. This place, however, is different. The quality and consistency are just as amazing, if not better, than they were the first time. Both times, we ordered wine, an appetizer, main entrees, desserts, and cappuccinos. None of the items we tried disappointed us. Last time, we had prosciutto and burrata, tagliatelle, lasagna, a tall chocolate cake, and the brownie with ice cream. This time, we had grandma-baked meatballs, four-cheese pasta, lamb and leek stuffed noodles, and the lemonchello. We also had brownie with ice cream again. On my 40th birthday, I finally got to eat at the local Italian restaurant I've been wanting to try out ever since they replaced one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants, Joumana's Mediterranean Cuisine I have received many excellent recommendations to try out Trattoria Bella, and all of them are true. This Italian restaurant is amazing. First and foremost, it must be stressed when driving up to Trattoria Bella (which I will shorthand to TB for the remainder of the review), there is that feel of being at a roadsite trattoria in Italy. Kudos to anyone, such as I, who've eaten at a traditional trattoria in Italy like I've had. It has more sophistication and class than an osteria but more casual than a ristorante. For us "uncultured Americans," you can relate Trattoria Bella to a fast casual restaurant (Panera Bread is the pioneer of the concept in the United States), more sophisticated than fast food (McDonald's, Burger King, etc.), but more casual than a full-service restaurant (Outback, Red Lobster, etc.). That is the best way I can relate TB to the American eatery scene, but that is still an injustice as TB is leagues ahead of any fast casual restaurant I have ever eaten at. You have the choice to eat outside, which can be debilitating during the Florida summer months yet kind of romantic at night with the mood string lights and highlighted mural on the eastern wall of the building, or inside that has some Italian-familiar albeit possibly stereotypical tropes. Given the fact that this is my first time here, I did take note of the specials but decided to order from the menu. For an appetizer, you will get Italian bread with butter. I love the presentation of serving it in a cleaned large can of tomatoes. We also got a trio of foods usually served on Italian streets: beef aranccini (fried risotto rice balls with beef inside), pizzette (small pizza), and calamari understandly titled "Italian Street Food." For the main course, my family ordered the following, which I will separate and detail: 1. Potato and Marscapone: Home-made Ravioli Filled with Potato and Mascarpone, Tallegio Cheese Fonduta, Aromatic Breadcrumbs, Red Wine & Balsamic Reduction. 2. Pistachio-Crusted Salmon: A salmon with a pistachio crust served with vegetable caponata, salsa verde. 3. Butternut Squash Ravioli: Homemade butternut squash ravioli, butter and sage, Grana Padano cheese, crispy Brussels sprouts. 4. Spaghetti Frutti di Mare: Literally translates to "Fruit of the Sea Spaghetti." Spaghetti served with clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, spicy tomato sauce. 5. Four Cheese Pasta: Probably TB's signature meal. Penne Pasta, Four Cheese Sauce, Italian Sausage, Crumble Pistachio, Finished in a Pecorino Cheese Wheel. Needless to say but we "shared each other's meals," and everything was "excellente." To conclude our meal, we did order dessert. We decided to do a round table in which they had a special featuring four of their desserts in smaller servings. They include the tiramisu (my favorite), canolli, panna cotta, and limoncello cake. Just like the rest of the food, it is delicious and a great way to end the night. On a sidenote, the restrooms were clean and also had stereotypical Italian troupes. Still fits the atmosphere. Excellent food, expect to pay a higher price on food... and that is what I did. The average of food was around $30 per plate. Still worth it though and I will definitely be back to eat more of their food. Got to see if TB earns their consistency star. read more

Called for a Friday evening table but inside was booked so we opted for an outside table - our first visit. It was a pleasant evening and the table was nice. Our server was a polite young lady and we never felt rushed or unattended. Warm, fresh baked Bread and her bed butter in a tomato can... terrific... Shared the beet salad appetizer - very well prepared with fresh veggies and the think sliced beets were earthy and delicious. My bride ordered the pasta with salmon in a creamy sauce. Pasta was clearly fresh and al dente - delizioso! As a lover of all things lamb, I went off menu and tried the lamb ravioli on special. It was very good but under-dressed with the au jus gravy, a tad small and few in number(6) for my appetite. One glass of a nice Pinot Grigio for my bride, some delicious coffee for me. We had a wonderful dining experience on the outdoor patio. They are a pet friendly restaurant and the service was extraordinary. Our server Franco is the best - engaging and very attentive and friendly! We loved our food - we had the shrimp risotto special and the baked rigatoni. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad and the organic beet salad as starters. And to top off the night, we had the delicious lemoncello cake, dessert. The sangria, both red and white were delicious. This review is an update from the one below. We are back three years later and everything was just as amazing as before. Our server Franco was absolutely delightful. This time we had the mussels in lobster bisque sauce(again),fried calamari, the rigatoni, the truffle fries, & the Branzino. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake, pistachio (not that crazy bright green)& vanilla gelato. Every little thing is so Good. The tartar sauce for the fried calamari was fantastic. The dip for the truffle fries was great(kind of a mayo Dijon mustard mix). They bring the mussels with toasted buttered bread which just makes the bread even better for dipping in the lobster bisque sauce. We'll be back! Prior Review: I like Italian food but I don't have it often because of the carbs, but this place is totally worth it! Very authentic and the quality of the pasta is amazing! I had the mussels in the lobster bisque. The only complaint, too small. But that lobster bisque was amazing. Even their bread was worth it! Made reservations for 7:30 for my birthday. We were promptly sat. We were given delicious bread and butter while we contemplated our meals. For drinks we ordered the Floridian, White Sangria, and the Red Sangria. All of the drinks were refreshing and delicious. For our appetizers we had the mussels in lobster bisque and Italian street food. The mussels in lobster bisque were divine and the soup was outstanding. All of our pastas were fresh and cooked to order. It was a dining experience better than I could have imagined. Can you smell the plate of lasagna in front of you as espresso is being pulled in the kitchen? This is Trattoria Bella. Tonight we arrived but didn't have a reservation. It was quite busy but they were able to accommodate us within 15 minutes. Our friendly server filled our water glasses and took out drink order. They have wine based cocktails here so I thought I would try a bellini. Our drink order was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time and my peachy bubbly cocktail was very refreshing. For dinner we ordered arugula beets salad, mama's meatballs, prosciutto and burrata, lasagna, four cheese pasta finished in pecorino wheel, and mushroom and truffle pappardelle. Everything was expertly prepared, appealing to the eye, and absolutely delicious. For dessert I enjoyed an espresso and a slice of their delicate limoncello cake. An absolutely perfect espresso pull and the cake was flavorful, moist, and just sweet enough. I would highly suggest a visit here when you are hungry for Italian.
