We were sat on the patio, which was nice to capture the evening breeze and just missing the height of the sun and heat. They have some lights strung around the place so I can only assume it gets even better at night. The patio did seem to be at an able so be careful with your liquids on your table. I had the veal piccata which was absolutely delicious, my only complaint was the portion size. I'm used to getting at least twice the amount of pasta at an Italian restaurant, but I digress. For desert I had the apple crisp, it wasn't really crisp in my opinion and would honestly not recommend it unless you are just a huge apple lover. All in all it was a lovely evening dinning experience.

The food went out ok to our taste though. We were expecting an authentic Italian restaurant. The garlic bread and chicken parmigiana turns pretty good according to hubby. I felt my seafood pasta had too much sauce and salt however missing a bit of the original flavor of the seafood. The tiramisu cake is quite spongy - doesn't taste like a tiramisu yet a chocolate cake? However we can understand why this is a local facorite from the staff's great service.

But there was a slight complacency in the air. The staff lacked the hunger and drive that makes a restaurant truly great. Ambiance was great, another 4.5 stars. The food fell short of the mark, most certainly below the prices paid. The pork chop was beautifully cooked, but under seasoned and the sauce accompaniment was reminiscent of A1 steak sauce, and it just didn't work. The mash potato side (and additional $16) was somewhat bland and grainy. It tasted as though it was cut with a root such, as a turnip, which made me long for that true Idaho potato taste. Another diner had the eggplant Parmesan, which was well prepared, but slightly under seasoned. We also had a pasta dish that was too al dente, to the point of being crunchy. The experience was fine, we do not regret going. But I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

This experience was freaking awesome. We were within feet of Britt for our whole meal. We made reservations for the Chef counter and got to watch Chef Britt run the kitchen.... And it was amazing!! The menu changes monthly, the food is delicious!!!! We got two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts, and we each had a couple drinks. The bill wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be.... And was pleasantly surprised when we got our bill. We will definitely be back to eat here!! Everyone was pleasant, our waitress Michelle was awesome suggesting great options for our meal and drinks....

To start, it's a resort, so if you're penny pinching, don't waste your time. Also, it's a resort,…read moreso expect fake cordiality. That said, the decor for the lounge is traditional heavy dark wood resort-esque, comfortable seating options, and for the warmer months, opens to the restaurant patio which is quite nice. Great view of the Sun Valley landscape along with the resort pond with Adirondack chairs and manicured grounds. You get the whole white bread resort vibe with Larry, the oldest lounge pianist in the world, playing all the geriatric favorites (e.g., Moon River on repeat). I was tempted to request Row, Row, Row Your Boat but couldn't bring myself to do it. As for the food, it was amazing, I have to admit. We got the scallops and wife got the apple and crab salad. Scallops were decadent and the salad was crab heavy as it should be. Wife pecan trout was solid, cooked perfectly. My black garlic chicken had a crispy crust, perched on pureed parsnip, tasted great. For dessert, we had the delicious chocolate cake and lavendar muielle-foille. Overall, waite staff was good though the Keeper of the Table kept snatching things, first the last piece of bread (though I grabbed the second round before she could make off with it), then a plate with food we were still working on. Water stayed full, and wines were top notch. No complaints there. If you're up to some pretension in the clientele but good lots of white plate food, you will enjoy this place.
