The service was fantastic, and the staff were more than accommodating, we started as 8 and grew to 10 by the time the salad and bread arrived. We were sat on the patio, which was nice to capture the evening breeze and just missing the height of the sun and heat. They have some lights strung around the place so I can only assume it gets even better at night. The patio did seem to be at an able so be careful with your liquids on your table. I had the veal piccata which was absolutely delicious, my only complaint was the portion size. I'm used to getting at least twice the amount of pasta at an Italian restaurant, but I digress. For desert I had the apple crisp, it wasn't really crisp in my opinion and would honestly not recommend it unless you are just a huge apple lover. We were told that this is a local favorite so we decided to go for a try. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The staff went there way to squeeze us in with no reservations. The food went out ok to our taste though. We were expecting an authentic Italian restaurant. The garlic bread and chicken parmigiana turns pretty good according to hubby. I felt my seafood pasta had too much sauce and salt however missing a bit of the original flavor of the seafood. The tiramisu cake is quite spongy - doesn't taste like a tiramisu yet a chocolate cake? However we can understand why this is a local facorite from the staff's great service. read more

I remember when DaVinci's was delicious! The past 2 times it has been mediocre, which is disappointing for the price. My daughter got the Alfredo which tasted like they spilled the whole bottle of nutmeg in it and the noodles were hard. I got the Rolled pasta special and it was good. My husband got the Veal Piccata which was decent but missing the lemon flavor. Overall the bread and salad were the best part of the meal. If you like pasta and sauce from a can and some carrot chunks thrown in this is the place for you! This isn't really real Italian....but for Hailey Idaho it will have to do. All of our meals either had no slat or so much salt we got dehydrated and needed to stop on the way for electrolytes. If you need a noodle with butter and some herbs, perhaps this is a very good place for you. Also the artichoke dip wasn't bad (but could have been from Costco). Luckily, we were so hungry after sitting and waiting for 45 minutes to receive bread and salads that the food maybe was okay? Side note: HOUSE SALAD LIIIIIIT. Warm bread 10/10. Everything was just a little too tasty! Yes, DaVinci's is so worth it!! Very nice atmosphere! Started off with Calamari that was more than likely the most exceptional Calamari I've had to date (and if you didn't know it, Idaho isnt anywhere near an ocean). The batter was so light and and the garlic aoli paired perfectly. Ordered a starter of Garlic Bread that was bursting with flavor! We split the house special (not on the menu), the rotolo, a sheet of pasta rolled with goodness (tonight it was chicken, artichoke, ricotta and spinach) and bathed in a sumptuous tomato sauce that I was ready to lick the bowl clean to get every last dripping of sauce! Actually used the remaining bits of garlic bread to do just that! Went with the Blackberry Crisp Ala mode for dessert. Compliments on the crisp as the berries were not over sweetened...really great flavor...Thanks to our server, Doug, for the recommendations! I took my family out for what I thought would be a nice dinner since it always appears busy. All 4 of us were really disappointed with our meals especially at $20-$25 per dish. Spaghetti and meatballs had a bland red sauce and hard meatballs, pan fried fish came soaked in grease, barely any vegetables to be found in the vegetarian lasagna and the special had very stiff noodles. We had a delicious dinner at daVinci's. The service was excellent. The food was genuine. We had fresh pasta with spicy meat balls and sausage and another pasta dish with scallops. The calamari was perfectly prepared-just the right amount of spice and fry so we could still actually taste the calamari. Special mention to the 13 year old "maitre'd" who seated us. It is a relatively small place, but was well spaced so you didn't seem cramped. There is complimentary bread and salad before the meal. Quant older house turned into a wonderful relaxed atmosphere restaurant with seasonal outdoor seating. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating, knowledgeable and well trained. Then there is the food --- it's EXCEPTIONAL! I had the meat lasagna and it was a perfect portion size, not over seasoned and very obviously made from scratch by a professional. Salad and bread were perfect as well. The pricing was reasonable considering it is in close proximity to a resort type area. I also appreciate the posted request on the wall as you enter. "Please turn off cell phones" There are few things worse these days than trying to have a nice dinner conversation while competing with gaudy ringtones. The meals served to two in our party of four were cold on arrival and were sent back. My dish, chicken picatta accompanied by spaghetti with marinara sauce, was served luke warm, not hot. I probably should have sent it back as well, but did not. The restaurant was not busy, so no excuse. The marinara sauce was bland and watery -- abysmal. My chicken piccata was a skimpy portion, the sauce was just okay, and the chicken itself flavorless. In addition, the chicken was crowded out by the bowl of pasta served on the same plate -- very poor presentation. On the plus side the salads -- "bottomless" and Caesar -- were both good, as was the bread and side of green beans. The server was aloof -- giving the appearance he would rather be anywhere else -- and unapologetic for the cold food. How this restaurant has survived for 20 years when it can't even prepare a decent marinara sauce and serve food hot is a mystery to me. read more

We just ordered tonight for the first time and got the shrimp scampi, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parm to go. The food was average at best but the shrimp scampi was terrible! It had about 1/3 c of noodles that were over cooked and a styrofoam cup of white wine and water and shrimp that wasn't edible. It was awful and we just threw it away! I expect quite a bit more for something that's $17.99. I do NOT recommend this restaurant!! read more

When I think Italian I think of great food, family and fun. We experienced all the above. It was an unexpected pleasure of great service and good people willing to personalize the evening in a way only Italians can. The bread was magnificently warm, the Caesar and House salads so fresh and the tomatoes - wow. We had the whole spectrum from the traditional meat ravioli (which you can never find) to the piccata and my salmon (the special of the night was truly remarkable). The deserts were portioned like my waistline.
