After traveling all day it was nice to find such a quaint local place to eat. The ambiance is fabulous and love the family friendly atmosphere. The tomato basil soup, fettuccine Alfredo and our Speck Panino is to die for. Cap off the meal with the tiramisu that is out of this world. Giuseppe's has become one of our favorite places to frequent! The atmosphere is casual with self seating (you order at the counter), and the quality of the food is top notch. They make their pastas fresh and you can tell the difference. I'd recommend their Bucatini Amatriciana or their Tagliolini - you can't go wrong with either - and wash it down with a Blood Orange San Pellegrino! read more

Have been a handful of times. It is always enjoyable. Definitely the best and freshest pasta in town.

Soooo disappointed. Three of us went there on a Sat evening, before 7:00. I wanted the ravioli of the day, they were out. Ordered the large tortellini instead-all they had was a small portion. Two strikes, but I LOVE their food, so sucked it up and got the house salad w/ house lemon vinaigrette and bread to compensate. Hubby got the tagliolini and daughter the fettuccini alfredo. I got wine, they got tea. The salad was unwashed and the "vinaigrette" was literally just lemon juice-that made the sour taste from the unwashed lettuce even worse. The bread is usually 4 large pieces- what came out was 4 small pieces, like they were trying to save in that so they wouldn't run out of that too. When the server came out with the food, he was having trouble balancing the three bowls, and one was practically under his armpit. After he sat the pastas down, I asked him to take back the salad-none of us had cared for it. He just said 'okay', and walked off. No apologies, no asking why we didn't like it, and certainly no offers for a replacement. Then we get to the pastas-all of us we're disappointed and had to add cheese and salt for flavor (I don't Norma use salt or anything extra for my food, and certainly not at this restaurant). We love this place-I love this place. I've had clients come in from out of town and send them there all the time. I won't anymore-I'm just so heartbroken that this place is following in the footsteps of most Shreveport restaurants-great when they first open then slack off and then eventually shut down. read more

The lasagna is the absolute best...great job!! The owners Jimmy and Joe were talking to me about the investment they made on their specialty pasta machine, which allows them to make all their pasta from scratch, daily. The authenticity in recipe and ingredients is noted from the first bite. It's worth mentioning I enjoyed the focaccia garlic bread as an app. The wine selection was very good for a smaller restaurant, I complemented my dinner with a nice full bodied 2011 El Fauno Tuscany. Fun and enjoyable Italian experience. I had lasagna piping hot out of the oven, others in my group tried the daily special ravioli which was spinach and ricotta as well as two other pasta dishes. You can tell all the pasta is made fresh daily. Charming and personal service. Obvious attention to detail. You order at the bar and seat yourself then service continues as they bring things out to the table when ready. Order a garlic focaccia bread to share! All of us enjoyed it... yum! read more

We had seen this restaurant listed in a couple of tourist brochures, but when we got there and saw it was in an office building, I was extremely skeptical. My skepticism was alleviated when the food arrived. Our salads were good, but the pasta...OMG!!! My boyfriend loved his Fettucine Alfredo, but I went for what was shown as their specialty - their Spinach Tagliolini. I wasn't even really sure what it was, but since they were known for it, I decided to give it a shot, and I was SO glad. It was delicious!!!! This place is fantastic. Great food and great people. We visited the other night with our kids. Between us we ordered the bucatini amatriciana, ravioli del giorno, and angle hair with alfredo. All super fresh and delicious. The house salad and foccacio are incredible to start and this place has a surprisingly good wine selection as well. oh. my. goodness. I had this pasta for the first time 2 days ago. I pride myself on knowing good pasta. I am from New England and we have authentic restaurants. The first time I ordered Lasagna Bolognese...they had me at bechamel... It was so good yesterday I got the same thing. But I also got a kids Rigatoni Alfredo...just because I wanted to try something new. The sauce was awesomesauce. So it is day 3. And I'm going back omw home because this pasta is life. Not what I expected, pretty lousy... when was the last time you left an Italian restaurant hungry. Pasta was way over cooked and stuck together. Like father like son. I frequented the former Giuseppe's restaurant on Line Ave & loved what they were doing there right up to the bitter end. I'm happy to see his son is carrying on the family tradition with quality and freshness, especially the house-made pasta. Some of the best. However, being an old schooler, I'd like to see some freshly baked bread on the table with a nice olive oil. It would be reminiscent of Italy, but in a modern way. Normally I would give it 5 stars as every time I come in it's a great experience and great food. However, I think today must be an off day for them. I had tried to call their phone number so that I could place an order to go about 4-5 times but the line was always busy. I finally get through the 6th time and was put on hold. After being on hold 10 minutes, I decided it would be faster to drive there and order in person. I arrive and see that it isn't all that busy, and the person responsible for answering the phone was just standing around, with the phone still off the hook/on hold from when I had called. So I am currently waiting on my food and it's been about 20 minutes, and the phone is still off the hook. I guess this particular worker is purposely avoiding having people call and make to go orders out of pure laziness. Sadly this will mean less orders and less business for this normally awesome restaurant. However, I do not want to deter anyone from trying this place, as it is great. They just might need to cull the good workers from the bad. read more

Good pasta. Ambiance of a Subway sandwich type place. Only been once and will go back for sure. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Entryway and registers are a bottleneck with slow order taking. Maybe new employees? Two registers, one line or two? Maybe it is because they have a good size menu with lots of food, drink options and with people coming back up to order more beverages. Again like a fast food place set up without their menu simplicity. Looks like a lunch place in that it is in an office building (outside entrance). I would not want to be in a hurry at lunchtime and deal with the register situation but maybe they have more staff at that time. A waiter just to take added drink orders at the tables would really help with service and sell more wine and beer or other drinks. Good portions and flavor in my one visit. Give it a try if you are not looking for more traditional or romantic atmosphere. read more

I heard about this place from a favorable review on tv once, so a friend and I tried it. It't definitely where I would take someone to impress them. I have never been a fan of a restaurant that you have to pay up front at the counter and like I told the hostess- what if I wanted desert after. This cheapened the experience from the start-the hostess indicated she didn't like that feature either. Anyway, the Caesar salad had croutons in it that were hard as bricks and I couldn't eat them. I set the salad aside and when I mentioned it to the waiter, he said he could take them out for me! At that point I thought they should have offered to take it off my tab, but that didn't happen either. I had ordered garlic bread for the meal, and it was a disappointment also. It was not garlic bread at all, even with butter spread on it, it was bad. My friends spaghetti was tough and the meatball had no flavor. After alerting the waiter to the other problems, still no offer to make things right. Price wise and quality wise- I will not be back. read more

Best lasagna in the metro area. It's small, quaint, and the food is out of this world. By far the best Italian in the area.

This is place is great. A very cute atmosphere and the beer and wine selection was good. My only complaint would be that it closes early and the staff starts shutting down long before that. I believe it was supposed to close at 8 on Wednesday, however the staff starting mopping, shutting down blinds, and asked my boyfriend if he wanted a to go box when he was clearly still eating, etc. at around 7:30. I felt very rushed and it ruined what was overall a pretty good experience. It just felt a little rude to be essentially thrown out of the restaurant before it even closed. Overall very delicious and the service prior to closing was great. Just get there early and leave well before closing! read more
