My sweet 17 week old Bernedoodle puppy Honey needed a good groom - her hair was terribly matted and was hanging in her eyes, and since she loves to play in the dirt she was filfthy. I was hesitant to have Honey groomed because of her age and wanted to make sure I went somewhere that would be gentle for puppies and know how to handle complicated hair. She showed me around the grooming truck and sent me videos of Honey being introduced to the tools once they started. She explained why she groomed Honey the way she did and gave me updates throughout without me even asking. I was informed what to watch out for after grooming and felt the experience was so thorough. Honey was in such a good mood afterward and had these adorable little flower bows put in her hair. It has been several days, and Honey looks and feels so much better. I was and still am so impressed! Well, as much as I loved this place when it was just the owner doing the grooming- I can't say much for the lady helping her. I felt like I had such great communication with the owner, she always did a fantastic job and my dog was always happy. I left my dog with a friend as I was out of town, and my girlfriend asked the lady to touch her up since her hair was patchy and uneven after her grooming service (including the ears being lopsided). After the lady touched her up my gf sent me a pic and I wasn't happy (my gf ended up touching her up as much as she could for me because we both couldn't stand it). Not only that, the price was raised to $140 from our usual $110 (and we'd been with the owner for maybe a year) she duped me by saying my dog was over 40lbs.... She always was. FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, GREAT SERVICE I had to look for another option for grooming my large 100lb dog during lockdown. Most other mobile groomers were booked out, but Gizmo made an appointment for me - 2 week wait. Not only were they very responsive over Yelp, they even bumped up my appointment when someone canceled. My dog usually has lots of anxiety going to the groomers in a shop setting and I was wary on how he would do in a small confined area, but he LOVED it! He willingly jumped into the well maintained van on his own and was ready to get his bath on! He took about an hour and looked great. I also had an appointment for my cat. Not sure if she put up a fight, since the groomer didn't mention anything.. cat was hating me for a day or so, but she sure does look fresh and clean! Lol! It was super convenient having my pets washed in the Gizmo van and I feel it was less stressful for the fur babies. I liked the first experience I had with Gizmo pet spa. My shih tzu was groomed so good that I made another appointment with them on the spot, despite the month long wait. So going forward her second appointment with Gizmo was yesterday (6/4/21), and they totally botched her cut. Not only is she cut toooo short (not the rapper lol) but it's choppy and done horribly.
