not sure this is where i can post this but I need to tell you all about a place i took my puppy. it's called Love on a leash. it's at 1724 PV drive North. i have nothing but praise for this place! They are the most caring people for animals i have ever seen and prices are very reasonable. Besides grooming they have a set up where you can take your animals and do wash and flea dip for $10. they show you exactly how to do it and supply you with a apron, shampoo and towels. check them out you won't be disappointed! they also sell supplies. i will get them a10!out of 10! After recently moving to the area, I needed to find a new groomer for my dog, and as the owner of a senior pup, I was definitely a little nervous. My dog is 15 years old and still has plenty of spirit, but his hearing and vision aren't what they used to be. I always worry about him feeling scared or overwhelmed when I leave him somewhere new. From the moment I picked him up, I could tell he was in great hands. He looked absolutely adorable--clean, perfectly groomed, and somehow even cuter than usual. But what really stood out to me was the extra care the staff took with him because of his age. When I arrived, they explained that they took their time with him and used a special crate dryer instead of rushing the process, specifically to keep him comfortable and safe. As a pet parent, that level of thoughtfulness means everything. It's clear they understand that senior dogs have different needs and are willing to go the extra mile to accommodate them. Finding a groomer you trust can be stressful, especially when your dog is older, but I left feeling so grateful that I found this place. The kindness and attention they showed my little guy did not go unnoticed. We'll definitely be back. read more

Our old groomer moved and was no longer available so we were in the process of trying to find a new one for our 14 year old dog. His face and body turned out great but his butt and tail, which were areas I specifically asked to focus on, were not. His butt was uneven (left cheek was shaved down, looked neat while right cheek still had a huge chunk of hair) and his tail looked untouched. I didn't realize how bad it was until we got home. I texted the salon back immediately and sent pictures. They offered to fix it if I brought him back but we didn't have time for that. After multiple back and forth with the manager, Paulina, the only resolution they continued to offer was 10% off of a future visit. After this experience, there won't be a future visit so that's not much of a resolution. It was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend. read more

Just got my dog groomed here yesterday. She's usually really anxious at the groomer, and we got recommended this place. First thing that caught my attention was they have a spacious area for the dogs which I loved. They also have AC tubes for the kennels which made me happy that they did that for the pups. The groomer also did SUCH a good job!! My puppy looks adorable, they even sent her out with little red flower bows. I didn't catch the names of the workers, but shout out to them for being so nice and the groomer for their work. read more

I have taken my pups to Love on a Leash (Paulina) for several years now. The fur crew love Paulina and always leave there happy, clean and looking great. Paulina also spent additional time trying to clean up my shepherd's coat. She was adopted from Harbor Shelter and her coat was stained yellow. Over the course of 3-4 months, her coat returned to its original color, white. This was only possible because of Paulina and all her efforts. In addition to doing a great job, Paulina has the biggest heart. She has fostered dogs and works on getting them placed is loving homes. I honestly don't know where she finds the time and energy to do all this. read more

We recently took our dog to Love on a Leash Grooming. The actual grooming job was great, her cut looked clean, even, and the groomer put effort into getting through her matted fur. The pricing and communication were the frustrating part. We were quoted $85 on the phone, which sounded totally fair. When we dropped her off, the price went up to $110 because of matting .. understandable, but would've been good to know before we drove there. After the groom, they added another $10 because our dog was "difficult to work with." When we went to pay, there was also a fee for using a card. None of this was mentioned up front, so the whole experience felt like surprise charges stacked on top of each other rather than a clear price from the start. Unfortunately, our dog developed a UTI afterward. Our vet said the very close shave around her vulva area could have caused irritation and likely played a role. We had to get antibiotics and a follow-up exam, which cost another $140. So, a grooming visit that started at $85 ended up being a lot more than expected and could've been avoided. We don't think anyone meant for this to happen, but being more careful around sensitive spots on female dogs would be appreciated. And being upfront about pricing and possible extra charges would prevent a lot of frustration. Overall, the haircut looked great, but the unexpected fees and the aftermath made it hard to walk away happy. With better communication and gentleness, this could've been a positive experience. read more

Because it was his first haircut after getting his shots I wasn't sure what she was going to be able to with his baby fur but he came out looking like a teddy bear. I was obsessed! I am so happy with my dog's grooming! I found this place via Yelp projects. They were super fast and responsive by text as well as on the app. I was running a few minutes late but they were thankfully very accommodating and flexible! Samantha, who was her groomer was super sweet. She reviewed everything with me in terms of what my dog was going to get done- she was not only super thorough but also fast (took about two hours for a double coated dog) most importantly my dog looked and smelled amazing!! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The price was fair given that she's a large dog with deshedding/ paw/sanitary trims. I've been to a couple groomers in the area that were albeit cheaper but this place was by far the fastest, most thorough, and my dog looked the best!! I can't say enough good things about this groomer! My dog, Rocky is super squirmy and usually hates getting his nails trimmed, but they handled him with so much patience and skill. If i could give negative STARS and pay 100$ per star id pay 500$ to give negative stars. Biggest waste of time ever. To make a very long story short. My dogs first time coming to this place. They asked for his "rabies" vaccination. Thats fine. Thats normal. Whats not normal was the fact the owner of this establishment refused to read my dogs collar. His shows his rabies are UO TO DATE!!! For those that dont know rabies shots need to be updated every 3 years. The year is 2025. U can see in the photo of my dogs collar that his rabies shot was in 2023 Not even 24 months Anywho. She refused to read his collar Wanted to call my dogs old vets office which happened to be closed today. Very unfortunate because i traveled 6 miles to give this business my money only to be told "no i dont want to read that" Fucking joke Please. If anyone is looking to get there dog groomed. I PROMISE YOU. I will personally zelle you 20$ to go somehwere else. Just reply to my post nd i dont mind giving you my number to share other places you can take your pet. I cannot say enough positive things about Love on a Leash. I have been taking my Golden, Willow, to a corporate groomer for the past couple months with okay results. I have been wanting to get into Love on a Leash but I always call last minute (my fault) and they are booked, which is totally understandable. They have the best Yelp reviews I've seen in my area so I'm not surprised they are busy. I finally had Willow get groomed this past Friday at Love on a Leash and I was absolutely blown away. They did such an amazing job on her and it's the best I've ever seen her look! And the staff were absolutely amazing and wonderful. My dog normally leaves the corporate groomer stressed but she looked very happy when she left Love on a Leash. I highly recommend them and look forward to being a regular customer with Willow! We made an appointment on 11/30/22 for on 1/21/23 with Susan, But she texted us on 12/30 saying need move to other day. So we changed to on 1/28 for her but we soon realize that we can't make it the day so we texted her back asked her we want to keep our original appointment day then she said she already has 4 dogs so she can't do it. We are like ???? We made our appointment almost 2 months before but she asked us change the day. Now she said she has 4 gods so she can't do it? She asked us move the day for another dog. My experience was smooth and easy they were well stocked with supplies that were needed so didn't need to bring anything besides our dirty dog.
