He told me its 1 to 1.5 hours at most. He said the company would send me a quote. I got the quote. They want $900 plus any unforeseen costs. I spoke to a few other electricians I know. They all live too far away to do the job. They said, they are giving me an outrageous quote because the job is too small. One buddy said they dont want the job, but are hoping I dont know anything and will just accept it. They will work with you, most of all listen to your concerns. A new, larger sump pump was installed, had some lines cleaned out. Couldn't believe all the gook! I never pour oil down a drain but just the stuff that can unknowingly get through is amazing. Nothing will save me from a power outages, but they have given me some piece of mind. At least every downpour doesn't fill me with dread! They are MY choice all the way.

We have a semi-annual program that ensures our system is ready for seasonal changes and would highly endorse that option. Our original HVAC installer did not prove effective in their support, with each service call evolving into a learning experience for the technician, whereas MEP techs have been exemplary in their knowledge and execution. They know the equipment, they're well-trained and very personable. Yesterday we had a series of thunderstorms and power surges, resulting in the A/C going out and a call to MEP. They were able to schedule a technician who arrived in four hours, diagnosed the blown capacitor in the heat pump, and had us back in operation after a run to the local supply depot for the specific part. Incredible response time, and as it turned out he identified the failed capacitor as the incorrect part for our model unit, a legacy of the original installer maintenance. We would absolutely recommend MEP without hesitation.

I explained on the phone there were strange brown circles over the septic tank and CO detector went off in the room nearest the pipe with outflow to the tank. I was told it would be $89 for them to come out. He opened two of the septic pipes. Asked me to flush the toilet furthest from the pipe. He saw the water flowing to the tank. Came in and looked around the inside of the house. Said he believed the CO was coming from the propane fireplace pilot. (It has a CO detector next to it which didn't go off.) A total of probably 15-20 minutes max. That'll be "$245 for the diagnostic". He said it was office policy to charge for the diagnostic. Basically I paid $245 for his opinion and no work. Last year, they did good work with good customer service moving our water filter system from under the house to the laundry room. We had no issue. But this time I feel high jacked!!
