I've been a customer since 2019 and moved out in late spring of 2026. A friend of mine, who had his RV stored there a few years ago, advised me not to store my new RV there, because he had some things stolen from his unit. I scoffed and said that today's technology and modern security cameras would prevent that from happening, and I'm sure they're more careful about security after his experience and raising his concerns to Glacier West. Well, first thing, every negative review written about this place, was an issue for me, so that saves me time in posting that. I've had my RV broken into 3 separate times.. a battery, propane tank and some tools were stolen over the course of 7 years. Security cameras? Couldn't find any footage, or they didn't have a good angle of my RV...blah blah blah. There are some valid assumptions from not only my friend, but some of the locals close to me, on why no evidence could be found, but I don't want to post anything that hasn't been proven. I'm now storing my RV at Olympic View Storage in Port Orchard. Oh Man, what a huge difference!! Security cameras everywhere and every movement in that facility is documented. All the negative reviews about Glacier West is the total opposite of Olympic View. I now have peace of mind about my property and don't have to worry about what surprise awaits me when I get to my RV after not being there for a few months. My opinion about Glacier West was always pretty low, but it's now even lower after having a first class storage facility to compare it to. read more

Had the manager lie right to my face. Said she cancelled my automatic payment and she did not. Said I could rent day to day if I needed a few more days. You can not. Had lock off of unit before opening on the 1st. Before 0930. Was charged a month because lock was not off as of midnight. She did not care and just said Sorry. I have used this place to store multiple vehicles over many years and left positive reviews in the past. But, facility is now mis-managed and rot has set in. Gate are left open during the day because of keypad problems. Went to get my RV during a 3 day weekend gate was locked and keypad didn't work for the 3rd time in 10 days. Called customer anti-service and received no apology was put in hold while they checked to see if my bill was paid. They came back on the line and told me nobody would be able to let me in for 2 days. If that wasn't enough I spend my winters making sure my RV is rodent free since the county drops off abandoned RVs full of garbage and rodent infestation. You're better off leaving your vehicle on the side of the road as far as security and maintenance goes here. The security lights are on a timer that isn't set right or doesn't work. Most winters my RV sits in the pitch black until I call and they fix the lights. For all these benefits you get rewarded annually with a hefty price increase. They do paint the buildings and the pavement though. I will be searching for a new storage facility. This one has the warmth and customer service of an ICE detention center. read more

I recently had to unexpectedly move, and they not only made the process of renting a unit extremely easy, but they also worked with me on a place to store my camper for less than a week since I did not need to store it for a month! Don't do autopay. I cleared out my storage and never got my pro-rated refund for the payment that had just been taken. When I called to see what the hold up was, I was told several people are waiting on a refund and they've emailed some out of town owner. The local employees said they didn't have any recourse other than emailing this lady. It's shady. read more

Had a great experience with All Star. Then Glacier West took over and everything went downhill from there. The short of it is; office staff is lazy and unhelpful. They refuse to take responsibility or even attempt to mitigate. They've made it clear that our security is not their problem. For a couple little more in depth examples, read on. First, we had our information stolen and money removed from our bank account by a previous employee of the unit. When we called about this, we were brushed off quickly. We were told that because the employee was not rehired it was not their responsibility. Apparently, they just purchased the company, not the responsibility for the security of the clients. Clearly, they would rather pass the buck than preforme any kind of customer service. Secondly, they changed the due date of our rent without notification. They changed all of the due dates to the 1st. Our due date had always been the 21st. We finally received an email on the 18th that our rent was late, we're now being charged late fees, and they are putting a preliminary lean on our belongings. Again, the office staff showed no sympathy or willingness to take responsibility for their mistake. It was OUR fault not theirs. Finally, when I agreed to pay them so I could just be done with these god awful extortionists. We got into the unit to pack everything up. And wouldn't you know it, we found mold on several of our items, including great grandma's antique china cabinet. So much for their "sealed" units. This time I didn't even bother to complain. This place looks pretty nice at first glance. But it's just "lipstick on a pig". Recently bought and now operated by out of state(CA) company. What used to be a great, stable, reasonably priced storage facility is now a racket for extorting more and more $ from its customers. There is no good will for customers here. Twice in the last month dozens of storage units have been completely flooded due to the negligence of the new California owners in not maintains the drain field behind the building. Many customers experiencing total destruction of their personal possessions stored here. Not a "sorry" or a hint of Glacier West taking responsibility. Just calling people to let them know, "oops. We flooded out your unit again. Come deal with it." Horrible business . Stay away! read more

Been storing my boat here for 10 years. This year the new owners told me I would need an annual plan; essentially pay 12 months for 5 months of storage. Unsound biz decision, here's hoping their occupancy decreases. Long story long, new ownership sucks read more

Last month we rented a storage unit from Glacier West. We were given a code for entry and told their lock would be removed from the unit we paid for. We were also told someone would be onsite when we arrived during their business hours on a Saturday. We moved our stuff from 1.5 hours away with two moving trucks. When we arrived to drop off our stuff our code didn't work and no staff was there. We called the main number and they told us they were escalating the issue. We finally got through the gate to find there was a lock on our unit. We called the main number 7-8 times they said they were calling all the local staff and would get back to us. We never got a call back ever from them. Come to find out the main office called no one. Finally after waiting 3-4 hours with our two young children and movers we rented a unit at another facility down the road which cost us 3 time more for the unit because it was a last minute rental and we had to take what they had left. In total it cost us over $400 in unnecessary expenses plus our entire afternoon because of their mistakes and complete lack of customer service. We contacted them to see what they could do about the additional expenses we incurred and we were told they could do nothing for us. Absolutely the worst customer service experience in my life. I realized this company can't be trusted and they take no responsibility for their mistakes, zero! How can they lock me out of a unit that I legally rented and paid for and take zero responsibility for the damages it caused, it's mind blowing. If you are moving with trucks and need to rely on being able to access your unit that you paid for this company is not the one to rent from!!!! read more

This place just s*cks now that out-of-town owners have taken over! They have zero ties to our community and are blatant about showing their customers that they are basically scam-artists who bought the property to shake down the customers and maximize their profit while providing the worst security or service possible. My storage unit where I keep my things has undergone ZERO upgrades or changes but today I got notice they are raising rents AGAIN! This is the third time since they took over from the old LOCAL owners!! Every time you receive any communication from Glacier West Storage it is BAD NEWS! Your rent is being increased, your stored items have been damaged, the gate is broken and wide open again, your rent is being increased again, they're now forcing all customers to purchase their for-profit "insurance" plan, thieves have struck units, the gate is broken again, your rent is being increased AGAIN!! The bottom line is the owners of this outfit are extremely greedy, unscrupulous and abusive towards their paying customers and you'd definitely be better of using ANY OTHER STORAGE in the area or just buy a shed... theres several better options in Belfair and a new one being built in Union!! read more
