Dried blood from them cutting nail too short

From my Google review (that has more proof of everything): BEWARE of the positive reviews, I know that the owner offers discounts in exchange for fake positive reviews. There are older reviews substantiating this as well. Sort to the lowest reviews on Google and you'll see the same issues: skin/nail BLEEDING from GASHES/CUTS/BAD RAZOR BURN, butchered hairdos, and a NASTY ATTITUDE from the owner Melissa when customers voice their complaints to her. There's a reason you see "NO REFUNDS" posted all over her shop and website. The low reviews are all consistent with the same issues. I should've read the reviews before taking my dog here. Would leave 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend dropped off my dog here and showed the lady he spoke to two pics (2nd and 3rd pic on here) I had sent him of how I wanted my Bichon Frise to look like (I had to take a last minute work meeting so couldn't drop her off myself) and he even told her that I wanted a Teddy Bear cut on my dog's face so she said that she could do it yet when I picked her up she looked nothing like the pics. They had completely butchered her face, they had given her a huge mustache that was coming out from both sides of her face with a bald chin. My dog looked ridiculous, so I immediately asked the lady to try to fix it right then and there and she did try, but it just came out looking worse (video is after they tried to fix it). Additionally, the grooming package came with ear cleaning but when I checked her ears they were still dirty & on top of that her front legs fur was left way longer than the back legs (not sure why). And WORST of all, they cut my dog's nails too short which caused her to bleed. I had to wipe them with alcohol when we got home. And she was visibly IN PAIN when she tried to walk. I paid $120 total this was including the tip (that I shouldn't have even left), but the haircut is definitely not worth this price since my bichon looked like a child did the cut AND THEY HURT MY DOG. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I TEXTED THE OWNER RESPECTFULLY VOICING MY CONCERNS TRYING TO COME TO A RESOLUTION AND SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE/CONFRONTATIONAL AND DISMISSIVE AND THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS ON ME FOR TEXTING HER. WHAT KIND OF GROWN ADULT ACTS LIKE THIS? I should've paid attention to her rude, confrontational and dismissive responses to other bad reviews here and should've also paid attention to the many bad reviews stating that when they contacted her directly via call/text (to address similar issues AS MINE) that she was extremely rude, confrontational and dismissive. Thus, needless to say, I won't be going back ever again. P.S. I've attached a similar bad review where the owner Melissa hung up on the customer voicing their complaints, and another bad review where Melissa also threatened to call her "lawyer" on a customer simply for voicing her complaints on here. This owner definitely needs to take accountability and have way better customer service skills because I've never encountered a business owner this unprofessional and unhinged. And I've never had such a bad experience at a groomer prior to this.

After a typical groom from other groomers.

Angry and disappointed at the quality of work and unethical conduct! They do services without asking first then automatically charge for it. Pretty scammy in my eyes. I guess that explains why they have so many signs on their website and in the lobby saying Absolutely No Refunds. If it wasn't such an issue you wouldn't need so many notifications. Took my girls (2 yorkies 4 & 5 yo) to be groomed after moving to TX a week ago. Chose Glam based on reviews and location. Was even willing to pay more than the typical $50 each for fullbath and groom. Called and was quoted $60 for my 8lb and 10lb yorkies and was asked if they had allergies. I said no but they have been scratching since we got here. Agreed to an additional $8 for an oatmeal bath to help with what I was told was most likely due to allergies common in TX. I dropped them off this morning and gave detailed instructions on how I wanted them cut. (Summer cuts which they've had every month for the past 5 months but needed to be tidied up all over their body, trimmed and tipped ears, trimmed topknot & hood, and most importantly close shave around eyes and muzzles but not their eyelashes. After receiving a text an hour later telling me they both had very large fleas (I chalked it up to us now living in TX since they've never had them before, I was told (not asked) that they needed a flea dip that would be an additional $12 each. It bothered me that they didn't ask since there could've been an unexpected reaction since they've never had it done before. Again no proof, just have to take their word, but I let it go. 2 hrs later I received another text saying they'd be done in 30-45 mins and that the total would be $189 w/ tax. So much for the $136 I was quoted the day before. I was later told that Biscotti was 11 lbs and not 10 so her groom was $75. Once again, just expected to take their word. (Be sure your dog appear to be or isn't overweight because if they are Glam will penalize you and make a profit off of it with or without proof.) After paying a ridiculously overpriced $220 the girl disappeared behind the door to get the girls 15 mins later I rang the bell again and someone came on a speaker and said they'd be right out. 5 mins later they come out with the girls and I was horrified!! They did a hack-job on the blonde's beard and said it was matted (It wasn't matted and has never been an issue since I brush them daily and if you have enough nerve to alter her face that much at least make sure it's even and done neatly! The cuts on each if their ears was just as bad. Uneven, choppy, squared on one side, pointed on the other and definitely not shaped down the outer edge. The grey yorkie's face was hardly touched and I was told she kept moving around so they weren't able to do it. You're supposed to be professional groomers and know how to properly handle dogs to groom them completely. No previous groomer, new or returning has ever had an issue with either one of them. First time or not. My girls look like the groomers were new and practicing. I will NEVER take them back there and wouldn't recommend Glam Pet Groom to anyone. Frustrated, pissed off and definitely feel like I got scammed!

My baby boy new groomer! They were soooo good and the prices are reasonable! Thank you

Update: Melissa took Izzy back and did the summer cut on her. I had her back within 3 hours this time. They were blaming my dog that she didn't allow them to groom her right. She was dropped off at 9 and done by 445 and this is how they left her. She looks like my 10 year old got scissors and was angry and cut her fur off. They didn't even touch her face (just chopped half of it off) because they said she didn't want to get it cut. My dog has never had an issue like this but she might have not liked them. They still charged me. I feel so bad for my puppy. Like why are they even cutting hair? And how did this take all day. I won't even go into the miscommunication during the day. They had me show up at 145 to tell me she wasn't even ready (after they told me to pick her up at that time). Here's a pic of her horrible cut. Please save yourself the headache.

Took both my shih tzus here for the first time for a full groom. To be fair, I have 6 month old pup and a 13 yo oldie. Am I 100% satisfied with the hair cut? No, but I understand some of it. I asked for a summer body. Which usually means very short. I even gave them the number for the clipper that they usually get. Both my dogs had longer than normal body hair for a groom when I picked them up. One actually looked like she wasn't even clipped to her body even though I could see that they worked on her legs. I understand that both dogs were going to give them trouble since one is so young and the other so old, but even I can clip their body without issues. Everyone there was super nice and they even came out to make sure I was satisfied with my 6 month olds face. At that point, I didn't have time to ask them for a closer to shave on their body. Will I return? I want to, but I am going to have to have better communication when it comes to their cuts. Grooming a shih tzu can be tricky and I am happy with the teddy bear face they got.

shaving which was asked NOT to be done but instead TRIM/cut. The worst part of it is the cuts/rash

We were really excited to take our sweet boys here due to the awesome reviews + phone call prior to making the appointment. We called and let them know we just moved here and our boys needed some major TLC after all the traveling and moving. However, my hearts so sad having to make this review. Our sweet boys experience was awful. Arriving: when we got there check in was pretty okay, no one was in the front, but we heard them yell "be right there". Then someone came out, we filled out paper work since it was our first time there. I let them know what we wanted, showed them a picture for reference of our little guy. Told them exactly what we wanted for our big guy, and then they took them to the back and told us they would be done between 3-4 hours. No biggie. Pick up: Prior to pickup we got a txt around 1:18pm letting us know our boys would be ready for pick up between 1:45-2pm. In the txt they also listed the pricing break down. $90(Spa bath deshed) $20(mini groom) $65(full groom) total with tax is $189.44. We were a little shocked at the price but no biggie we knew our boys were in need of the works. In their message they also stated that after 45 min from the pick up time there would be an additional $15 late fee. We were excited to get there so we parked outside around 1:30 and went in to the shop at around 1:45. When we got there no one was in the front again. We waited a while before anyone came out. When someone finally came out they asked who we were there for. We let them know then we paid, and she said she would bring them right out. They did not bring them right out. We waited and at 2:07 they finally brought out one of our boys, then said I'll bring the other one out. About 5 min later they finally brought our little guy out. Grooming results: our little guys hair cut was awful. We knew they'd have to cut his little leg hairs extra short due to some possible matting but his legs were super short and uneven, his face wasn't the shape we wanted at all. He also looked so sad the whole car ride home. Our big boy was supposed to have a bath and absolutely no hair cutting, ONLY his grinch paws + have his sanitary area CUT & a deshed. He looked fine, but when we got home I noticed the middle of his back was wet, and then he started scooting his butt on the floor. He's never ever done that. He also tried licking the area. So I called and I asked about the wet hair on the back first. The lady said they make sure they're completely dry and then they spray them with the fragrance they use, I said okay that's probably what that is. Then I asked about the butt scooting and if they had their anal glands expressed. She said yes, and said the scooting is normal & proceeded to say they have other customers who mention their dogs scooting after getting expressed. I said okay thank you for letting me know that's probably why that is. However through out the day, his back was still wet, so it was definitely him not being dried well. BUT the worst part of it all was his butt scooting continued, and he kept trying to lick the area. My husband checked his butt and our poor guy was awfully SHAVED in that are and CUT/HAD A RASH !!!!!!! Our boys are our world so the fact that they were hurt/ had a terrible cut made us feel awful. They have never had a bad grooming experience until now. We absolutely understand grooming takes a lot of hard work & groomers get super busy, but treating pups correctly, and safely is super important. We won't be returning

We love to take our dog Lucy here. We've been taking her for about a year now. It makes us very happy that the whole staff knows who she is. She always comes out smelling AMAZING and loving with how the staff is with you. It's a little drive from our place but it's definitely worth it.

Prior to training I never would have thought I'd be able to take her around other dogs but now she's a gem. Jessica was able to teach me more about the different German Shepherd working lines which was a crucial part for me to understand why previous methods failed. Now my Sammi is more focused on we with walks, can be around other dogs with out reacting when she's on leash and behaves better at home. Along with this is to get refills on his allergy medication before it being used up. The vet indicated he would and to bring in the prescription bottles. My dog received a rabies vaccination, senior dog blood work up, and blood work. Blood work is always done prior to renewing prescription as a precaution. The test results were unremarkable. Subsequently, I returned to the clinic with my dog's prescription bottles to be noted in the medical file. On January 1, 2026, I requested his prescriptions to be filled in person. The information I previously provided wasn't noted apparently. I was supposed to be contacted. However, no one followed up with me after this visit. On January 5, 2026, I called to follow up. NOW I'm being told they cannot refill prescriptions because the dog was not exhibiting allergy signs, notwithstanding his allergies were largely under control because of the current medication. At no time was I informed his prescriptions would not be filled for that reason - although his prescriptions had been filled prior by same. I requested to speak to the vet. The young girl told me I could not talk to the doctor. I fully intend to pursue this matter further.

Regarding your Admins response to my review: First of all--your complete and total lack of…read morecompassion and any sort of actual empathy statement just underscores my entire point about where your priorities truly reside. The vast majority of your response has nothing to do with me my loss or what suffering occurred while my boy was forced to be boarded there. No fabricated excuse for his stained yellow feet. To be sure that we're all on the same page here, it was NOT the amount you claim it was--perhaps for each of the two dogs forced to stay there--trust me, I know. I had to hear about it in detail from my mother and I'll dig up the invoice to prove it. If the records show the amount you're claiming then I'd think about looking at the staff who was working at the time and maybe even running a reconciliation or sifting through your records at the site level because something isn't aligning between our perspectives here. Next, bloodwork was NOT just OFFERED to us--trust me. Had it been I'd have pounced on it in a heartbeat. We were told that to validate my claims about his dietary needs that bloodwork was needed which we were told would be another $400 give or take. We weren't able to pay that on top of these unforseen costs of boarding. And frankly I'm honestly very offended that your reply consisted of basically you just thumbing through whatever notes you had on the visit and then instead of just saying that 'based on the submitted records this is what I'm seeing ---' because unless you are Dr Weeks himself, you weren't there and it doesn't matter what your case notes say as they were written by the vet--if you treated someone the way we were treated you'd have likely cleaned up the notes about it too I'd imagine. And bottom line, no matter what you say the laws were or are, we were in contact with a city worker who was the one advising us to seek out a vet note which cited any ongoing health related reasons for which a dog should be allowed to quarantine in their home. When we turned to Pet Med Center, basically a second home since I can even remember, we called ahead and explained the situation and the visit was setup specifically to assess whether or not Cash could be excused from his remaining week of time he never even earned or deserved. If what you're saying is true and if the staff were aware that no exceptions were ever going to be granted, then do tell me why did we even get brought in to begin with? Because we could have just allowed the city to board them if that were indeed the case and there'd have been absolutely no reason to agree to and setup any appointment or stage any bogus assessments just amplifying the visible anguish and devastation which was--to my embarrassment honestly, bc ugly crying in public is definitely not something I typically put myself through but that's literally how it went. So honestly I hope that what your claiming isn't somehow true-- because if it is and was a known shared truth between the staff there , then that means that the deceit and the tragedy of it all is even worse than I have since believed bc it means that we weren't informed about it and were made to think we had some sort of hope. And honestly I wasn't going to let anyone take him anywhere. I was going to take him across town to my grandmothers and stay there with him until the time period passed and pay whatever fines or do whatever time it cost myself even if it meant serving some time in county because I knew he couldn't survive a full week of boarding without special care......I only brought him to your clinic because of what we had been told and made to believe. And if bringing him meals wasn't ever a possibility then why did Weeks respond with saying he'd need bloodwork done to verify any dietary needs or diabetes? Why wouldn't he have instead just said it wasn't a possibility. Frankly none of your explanations really align with what actually was said and done that day--and while I see why you said what you said in defense of your team members, I still can't help but find it to be insensitive and insulting--because I also recognize it as a mechanism to invalidate the unflattering experience I told and an attempt at telling me what I actually went through as if I am not deeply hurt by it still--after 5 years 5 months 5 decades it really makes no difference because the memory is burned into my head and has been replayed over and over throughout this process of trying to heal from it. Sharing my pain and my story was a step I needed to continue to heal. Take it or leave it but to attempt to paint me as a liar is weak and gross. I hope you're able to take what I've stated and use it to grow and improve instead of discarding denying and rewriting it with whatever sugar coating makes you most comfortable and attractive looking. Best of luck.

I got frustrated and pushed him out of the way - unfortunately, I have the most clumsy cat in the world and my pushed caused him to lose balance, he slipped off the counter and got his leg trapped in the oven handle, dislocating his hip on the way down. The cry he let out was the worst noise I've ever heard and I rushed him to the closest vet I knew of - Culebra Creek. I went in carrying my baby's car seat and my brother had the cat in one of those 18 gallon tubs (I had nothing else lol) I walked in absolutely hysterical, barely able to speak or breathe between my sobs. I felt so guilty. Both ladies behind the counter smiled gently and asked me what happened. All I could muster up was squeaking out "my....cat's....hip...." before one of them took the tub back to a room and the other handed me paperwork. They told me the doctor had just left for lunch, but they disappeared into the back room and came out a few minutes later saying the doctor decided to see my kitten before going to lunch. They likely heard me crying like a crazy person and apologizing over and over despite the kitten not being with me anymore. Once I calmed down and told the ladies at the front desk what happened, they both told me it's easy to feel guilty, but he's going to okay and he will forgive me quickly. The vet came out a bit later and told me they had to sedate him with some ketamine to get X-rays and nothing was broke. I kept asking what happened, but the vet would just repeatedly say "he's going to be okay". I'm sure he was trying to deescalate the situation and it worked. They asked us to come back in a few hours after my cat woke up from the procedure and was able to be monitored until he was ready to go home. When I went back to pick him up, they told me his leg was better, but he would be in paid for a few days and had extreme swelling around the hip joint so they gave me pain medicine and a steroid for him. They also were able to diagnose his eye which was goopy and looking pretty awful. The vet asked about it and I told them another vet I went to said it was noting to worry about it and gave me antibiotics for an "infection" . Culebra Creek told me it was an ear mite allergy and they provided him the first dose then told me to dose him each month. Now to the bill. I was terrified to know as they have a routine vet visit cost and an emergency vet visit. Here's everything that I expected to be charged for - Four X-rays - Ketamine sedation - Putting his hip back into place - Treatment for eye infection - Monitoring until he was conscious - Pain reliever for home - Steroids for home - 3 month supply of ear mite treatment My total bill was high, but MUCH lower than I expected - $500 for everything. I was floored as I expected to easily pay over a thousand for the emergency visit and everything else. 1000/10 recommend this vet for ALL your pet needs! They were empathetic, understanding, quick to respond, affordable, and most importantly were able to easily deescalated a hysterical post-partum mom that hurt her own cat and was devastated. I still feel guilty to this day about what happened, but I'm so glad Culebra Creek has the staff they do. (If anyone is curious, the vet never did confirm his leg was dislocated as it was visibly obvious - I'll spare you the details. I think they made the best decision by not reiterating the obvious to an emotionally unstable mom. I'm sure had I asked, they would have confirmed, but the empathetic looks I received when I said I caused the dislocation and the "accidents happen, he knows you love him and didn't mean to hurt him" was enough to confirm.)

Ann from Perfect Pups is the best!…read more I have a miniature dachshund named Francisco who is a fairly good dog, but in the last few months he has become very nervous and scared of other people (specially the mailman). After watching too many hours of The Dog Whisperer, I was afraid his behavior would eventually make him an aggressive dog and decided it was time to get an expert's opinion. Because of this, we decided to do an introductory class with Ann from Perfect Pups, so she could assess our situation and perhaps give us some tips to work on. The day of our session Ann arrived at our home on time, which I really appreciate. During our one hour session, she was able to give us some really great tips to treat Francisco's nervous behavior. We've already started implementing some of her recommendations, and we can see a difference in our dachshund. This will definitely take some time, but I appreciate getting Ann's expert opinion. I would definitely like to meet with Ann again in a few weeks to show her some of the progress we've made and get some new tips from her. She is a great trainer and I love the way she explained everything to us. I highly recommend Ann from Perfect Pups to EVERYONE; especially to those who are new dog parents. PS: How cool is that she used to work at SeaWorld San Antonio for 10 years as an Animal Trainer working with orcas, beluga whales, and Pacific white-sided dolphins?!

I especially loved how the staff were patient with my excessive Q&A prior to bringing, Sir Winston in . With Winston, our experience has been staff making the mistake of assuming he is either a Siberian husky, therefore the mishandling or fear from his size begins. Planet Pet Spa, had him scheduled first thing in the morning, so he would experience minimal activity to ensure he could ease into his FIRST experience. My main focus was to have Sir Winston, deshedded, shampooed and dried. Not much, but with a 120 lb who can be reactive, I had anticipated this to be challenging. My biggest concern was the staff being able to handle my him when he didn't want to move (as he generally will sit down in protest if he doesn't want to go). Our groomer, Nazarene, at drop off was not even fazed by Winston's size. Which only reassured me that I had placed Winston in good hands. Upon picking Winston up, he was in good spirits and seemed to have had a good experience. I struggled with looking for a big dog groomer, and I'm so thankful that we found Planet Pet Spa and Nazarene. I highly recommend Planet Pet Spa and Nazarene, if you have a giant breed. She didn't even flinch at his size. I left their feeling they do care about my concerns as well as the experience of my dog..

The facility is always beautiful and clean, which I really appreciate. Cooper has high anxiety because of a bad experience with a previous groomer at Petco, but Ariel has been AMAZING with him.
