Avoid Glamour Dogs! I used to use them regularly, but they seem to be under new ownership. My first experience with new ownership resulted in an uneven cut and her nails were not done (though I paid full price for the package.)The groomer stated she was alone and did the best she could because the primary groomer didn't show. I decided to try them one more time this past week. I went to drop my pup off at 8am for a scheduled appointment, no one was there when I arrived. I got in contact with someone at 8:21am and was informed "someone should be there" (even though no one was). The person I spoke with said they were still 26 minutes away. I wasn't able to wait any longer, so we agreed that I could come back at 10:30am, which I did. I checked in at 2:20pm (4 hours later), and the groomer stated she was running behind and needed 3 more hours. I wasn't comfortable with my dog being crated for another 3 hours (total of 7) so I went to pick her up. When I arrived, the groomer was sitting in the back room playing on her phone with earbuds in. There were ~5 small dogs in tiny crates waiting for services. My dog had been bathed but nothing else, and the fur around her face, belly, and feet were still dirty. The overall experience, including lack of communication, was unacceptable. I won't be back, and I don't recommend you try them either. read more

We have two Samoyed dogs who have been getting groomed by Dina for the last 4 years, and we've always been extremely happy with the services here. Because Samoyeds have two coats, it's hard work keeping the undercoat from getting matted (especially important in the Houston summers aka 10 months out of the year), but Dina and her crew always do such a wonderful job. She is pretty popular so I would recommend scheduling in advance since sometimes she can get booked, although the furthest out I've ever had to schedule was 2 weeks. read more

The place is clean, smells good (not like a 1000 dogs), keeps your pets where you can see them, and the owner was very laid back and easy to work with. I was told he would be getting groomed shortly I asked if I could just bring him back in the morning to get his cut as I did not expect for him to be gone for 7 hours. I was told no they would be busy in the morning. Bottom line horrible service and they did not cut my dog as I asked them to and he still has long and short pieces that they did not do well. I am a PROFESSIONAL DOG HANDLER. Today I took my resuce Rottie, Angel to the salon. I took my vet records, and a PICTURE of the type of cut I preferred for her with some notes. They were ready to receive her EXACTLY on time and her grooming was finished when they said she would be ready. She is a ROTTIE, and a resuce. They had no problems handling her and the cut is FANTASTIC and even my son thinks she looks GREAT. My furbabies and I love Dina and her crew. Both of our dogs have been here to get groomed and they do an amazing job every time we go. They take the time to scissor cut special breeds and if they ever run into any issues they call and ask before doing anything. Their shop is more expensive than PetSmart, but trust me it's worth it!! You are paying for quality, caring groomers! My wheaten was a mill rescue who was very fearful of people and her staff was always very gentle and patient with her. This is my second time bringing our two Cockapoo puppies here. She did a great job! I requested just for their faces to be trimmed but she was nice enough to also groom their paws, butt, privates, and nails which was much appreciated! I was able to drop my dog off at noon and pick him up by 4pm. I was kindly greeted by the owner and she made sure to let me know that he'd be well taken care of. The facility is in a tiny strip facing Stella Link so you may miss it if your eyes aren't peeled. Upon walking in, it smells and looks clean. Although I only asked for a trim for my long-haired dog, she gave me her expertise recommendation on how much to cut- not too little, not too much. When I picked him up, he was in good spirits, looked nicely groomed and smelled great. the groomer was able to brush out all of his dry skin and made him feel velvety soft. The price was right, and I'm glad that I have finally found a permanent groomer for my dog and even more glad that it's so close to home. No more petsmart for us! read more

Terrible customer service. Dropped our dog off this morning for a nine o'clock . I called a week before for this appointment. They didn't have our dogs name on their books and indicated she wouldn't be ready till three. I called to talk to the owner, she wasn't there , so I spoke with tony. He indicated she wasn't even on the books and they would squeeze her in. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Our conversation on the phone was not easy. Tony was rude. Dina is a great groomer. We've been coming here with our maltese for quite sometimes now. Even after we moved, we still make the longer drive to see her. I've been to many groomers before and no one did as great of a job as Dina. Definitely should avoid taking your pets to places like Petco and Petsmart for grooming. They make you leave your dogs there for hours and hours. With Dina, we drop our little guy off early in the morning and 2 hours later, he's all done! read more

First time I've had a dog that needed grooming. I've only had my mini wire hair dachshund, Winston, for a month. He's a rescue, so I had no idea what his grooming needs were. I called and they were friendly and professional on the phone. Offered to take Winston first thing in the morning when shop is quieter. Shop was clean, organized. Staff asked questions and took time to listen to my thoughts. We settled on just a face trim to clear hair out of his eyes. They finished with him in a couple of hours. I never ever write Yelp reviews! I also hate conflict But after my experience, I had to share. I have been with glamour dogs for almost a year. In the beginning, I was treated with respect. On January 28, 2020 I called to make my usual Friday appointment for my two year puppy(no more than 6lbs) . Dina initally answered the phone with a nice tone. she then asked "last name." After providing my information and pet name, she rudely stated that all appointments were booked until the 13th of February. I pleaded with her and asked if I could take the earliest (which I always @ 8am) or the even the latest. She rudely replied, "There are no late appointments and no we cannot fit you in."I Actually believed it until I told my dad to verify. He called and spoke with Dina. Dina kindly gave him an appt before February 1st! My sister then called the next day to find out what the issue was. She also gave my sister a time/date before the 13th of February. After she asked for our information, she withdrew. Dina said she cannot cut my baby's hair anymore because her groomer is scared of my little baby. A pup that is only two years old and weighs no more than 6 pounds. She went on to say, "The groomer is afraid the owner will show up again after noticing a minor cut on the pup. I also cannot cut your dog's hair because I have other dogs hair to cut." - Dina. What owner would not be concerned if their pet WHINED every time you touched a certain area? I would be a terrible mommy if I didn't ask questions (which you said was no problem at all). Oh, Dear, problems with this Salon. I believe our small dog was cut by an Asian woman who knows absolutely nothing about customer service. This was our first time to visit this salon. The prices were fair, but you might want to step up and pay a little more. After giving her instructions how to cut my dog with the very shortest clip, I went to pick her up and found over 1/4 to 1/2 of hair on my dog. Instead of her saying that the length had been misunderstood (this would have been adult), she began to argue and argue until she made me listen. She may have thought she won, but she lost in many ways. She blamed the entire problem on me. Customer service is not their Mantra. I had to leave and come back to get my dog. I would not recommend Glamour Dogs to anyone. While the arguing was going on about she was right and I was wrong, she also said my dog was a problem - that someone had to help hold the dog so she could cut. Well, isn't that their job. Very disorganized with scheduling their appts! The owner seem to be overwhelmed with the managing the business and trying to groom at the same time! The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing! Every time I bring my dog in to be groomed, I have to leave my name and phone number on a little piece of paper. Really! By now, they should have a record with my all information. When I schedule an appt, its always a big production. The person actually making the appt and the person making the schedule are not the same and I have had 2 scheduling conflicts. I called to set an appointment, and wast told I would be charged a cancellation fee because of a previous cancelled appointment. The funny thing is, that I called and informed the owner that I wasn't going to make it to that previous appointment. They had no record of the call. They keep records on a notecard, so how could she possibly know if I called? I don't do business like that, if I was wrong I would pay. But I know I called, and was basically called a liar today. Absolutely love this salon. After my Dad's recommendation, I took my dog in for a Saturday appointment. The location is super close and convenient.Dog kennels are kept very clean and out in the open. It's a nice feel and I had no concerns about leaving my dog there to get groomed. They have very competitive pricing on their grooming services. They did an amazing job on my 52 lb golden retriever mix. They pampered her and gave her the works with a great bath, grooming, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, and nail trim.As a first time customer, they give an awesome $5 discount and my bill came out to about $43. Very good pricing. Very great services. My dog came out smelling, looking, and feeling amazing! She was happy as could be when I picked her up. The staff there are all a joy. They really love the animals they take care of and do the most they can to make sure they are as comfortable as can be. I'm so glad to have found my regular groomer. read more

After reading the good reviews on Yelp, I thought this would be our new go-to groomer but we did not have a good experience. First, my dog was shaking when we picked him up (which he has never done before). Then I was charged twice as much as previous groomers, including an added fee for the "extra work" it took for a few small mats. However, all they did was shave them out, leaving him with an uneven cut. He also did not come back smelling of shampoo, instead smelling musty and vaguely like urine. The next day he also started scratching and discovered he had a Staph infection. I will not be returning to this groomer. read more

Donnie is AMAZING. We have a 50 pound chow lab mix named Bella who sheds and sheds and sheds. Once a month for 3 years, or 36 times, we brought Bella to Donnie to wash, dry, trim, cut, and get made beautiful. Bella LOVED going to Donnie and was always so happy when we dropped her off and picked her up. Easy to schedule, fairly priced, and great customer service. My mom gets our two pups groomed here and I must say they are excellent! We pick up the pups and there are always two treats in the cage with the pups and I know they try their best to give some type of comfort, and also supply cute little bows or bandanas if requested, they do very well and our rescue shih-tzu absolutely loves this place, can't really handle being groomed by others but she doesn't mind them at all! Well worth the money and its not so expensive, very reasonable for our two dogs, especially since the littlest one, a tiny 5 lb Pomeranian requires multiple people to help get her groomed (she wiggles a lot), she lets them do it with usually no hassle, and that says something for this place! Very kind staff, and if they mess up (which has been once in the long time we've been coming here for our dogs grooming) they fixed the mess up for free, and apologized as well. We have used them for about a year. They do Good cuts for our Yorkie, and usually not bad on time. Dropped of our little Yorkie off at 8:30am for a 9:00am appointment... There was a dog or two in front of ours. The whole point of making an appointment is to have a scheduled time to plan your day for things like this. No answer when calling to check the status around noon, over three hours later. I drove up to the business to check on her because I had to leave out of town and live nearby. Our dog was still in the cage, probably had not been let our for bathroom break or water and not cut! Dogs being groomed everywhere in the shop. They put other dogs who arrived later over our dog. Not good business. It takes a while to make an appointment here as they are busy. When you make an appointment, do not expect to get in at that time apparently. I do not think it is fair to the dog or its owner to schedule appointments and let the dog sit for hours before getting to it. We will not use this place again which is disappointing. Just a warning to everyone else who is thinking of using them! They may not treat your dog the way you want them to and may not be loyal to your schedule. Working people revolve around schedules. I give two stars strictly to the fact of the previous cuts were up to par. They actually do a good job with the cuts. The treatment of the dogs and loyalty to customers is where my issues lie with them now. Be warned. read more
