I've been coming here with my sister for years now. Sometimes my manis and pedis are done better than other times, depending on the person doing the services--but they're all ALWAYS so nice, and I've never had anyone cut me or break the skin in any manner. I've done walk-ins, I've made appointments, I've been late for appointments and they're never rude or make me feel like they're rushing. And it's a very clean facility, which is much more important than anything else. I seem to have the best luck with their gel manis/pedis in terms of durability. I don't love the dip manis because my nails seem to always lift at the base after a week or so, no matter what. I do find that here they put the dip on a bit thick for my tastes as well. Others may prefer it to make them less breakable. Either way, I'll continue to go to Grandlux when I'm in the area. read more

The manager at this place is horrific!!!! We have been going there for a very long time. Myself, my 15-year-old niece and a 81 year-old.mother who I take care of all services. We have had 173 appointments!! Today, he kicked my 15-year-old niece out of his salon and told us he no longer want our business because she had a dance event and we had to move her last appointment. With plenty of notice my last appointment two weeks prior I moved back two hours because I was running late with my client which I gave ample notice!! He kicked us out today because I was not gonna allow him to scream and yell at me and my 15 year-old niece over one moved appointment that was ample notice. We have been long time customers I would suggest buyer beware he's a little on the psychotic side with a severe temper. read more

Worst nail salon experience I've ever had -- I will NEVER return. The nail tech who worked on me, Lena, was extremely rude from the start. I showed her a photo of what I was thinking -- simple French tips with a flower design on the fourth finger -- and she immediately began lecturing me about how the photo was gel, not dip. I hadn't even specified what method I wanted, but instead of calmly explaining, she got rude right away. When removing my previous nails, she kept rolling her eyes, side-eyeing me, and even yelled at me for the old nails being "too thick." They were already lifting, so it was painful -- yet she told me to "suck it up and deal with it" while aggressively drilling into my nails. I've never had a nail tech speak to me like that or make me feel so uncomfortable during what should be a relaxing, positive experience. On top of that, I didn't even end up getting dip powder -- just a clear gel coat -- and was charged $60 for it. I understand nails are expensive, but $60 for just removal and a clear coat feels like a complete rip-off. To make matters worse, I also got a pedicure, and the polish chipped the same day -- despite barely walking afterward. One of my friends' manicures had wrinkled polish and two chipped nails right after. Another friend asked for a design, and it looked noticeably different on each hand. Overall, not only was the customer service absolutely terrible, but the quality was disappointing too. I highly recommend going to Angel & Sophia or Venezia instead -- they are much kinder, the pricing is more fair, and the nails actually turn out beautifully. While the salon itself is beautiful with lots of seats and plenty of people working, the manicure and pedicure I got today was absolutely subpar for the price I paid. I paid $124 total (not including tip) for a gel pedicure and a dip manicure (I originally asked for gel and the woman insisted I get dip instead). The pedicure was great and turned out beautifully -- but definitely not worth $64 for a basic gel pedicure -- which is why this review is getting at least two stars. My manicure was the worst one I've ever gotten. The nail polish job themselves are beautiful, but three of my fingers are cut up from the electric filer. After my nails were painted and filed down after the dip polish, the woman put cuticle oil on four of my nails and told me to rub it in myself, and then she walked away and didn't come back. She didn't come back to clean off the remaining dip powder off my fingers, to rub in the cuticle oil, or to do any of the other aspects of a manicure like lotion or a towel or hand massage that usually occurs at every other nail salon I've gone to -- she basically just did a polish change and nail shape when I specifically paid $60 for a manicure. I thought maybe the remaining dip powder would wash off when I washed my hands when I got home, but the dip powder is stuck on my skin and now my hands look dry and crusty from it, and there's dip buildup all under my nails that was never cleaned out at the salon. Prior to doing my nails, the woman didn't even ask me to wash my hands, and she didn't sanitize my nails at all with alcohol or other sanitizer prior to dipping my fingers in the dip container. Sloppy, unsanitary, rushed service certainly not worth the price point. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

I went today to get a wax done, and when I first got there the person at the front desk was just on her phone, not even acknowledging me for a minute before I asked her if she was going to help me. To be honest she had really heavy fake lashes on, so I gave her a little of the benefit of the doubt at first that she couldn't see me because of her lashes. She took me back to the room (which the back part of the salon smelled like cigarettes/smoke), and then just left me without fixing the room (just putting the paper on the chair). The person who did my waxing did a great job and I have no complaints there. Then afterwards I go up to pay, and am in the middle of doing my Payment/tip then she just walks away to the back without any nicety or giving me my receipt. I will not be going back, and the employees, especially the ones who are working the front desk, need some training in basic customer service. I went to this salon today 1/4/23 at 10a I asked for a pedicure and full set nails- they recommended dip- this location was in Highland Village. my nail techs were cordial- however they both rushed through my services- I asked for square round nails as the other shapes can poke my grand babies- nope not what I received I got square that's has sharp sides- I would not recommend this shop- they didn't listen to what I asked for- once he completed my nails the tech left me without a word just told me to wait 2 minutes and left me my bill- my nail cuticles were dry and didn't look freshly polished the cost was 55.00- and basic pedicure was 29.00 while I was there he wore a mask the whole time- until he had a sneezing fit (more than 3) he removed his mask and sneezed right in between I and another client, then put his mask back on. very impolite. he should have left the area or at the very least turn around away from clients- when I left the salon I was not thanked for stopping in. for a full service salon- I was very disapponited. So experience can vary from a 2 Star to 5 star. I have had some great manicures & pedicures here and some not so good ones. Owners are very friendly. My biggest frustration is that when you do set an appointment it really doesn't matter or is not recognized. Being able to walk in is great but when you have a set schedule You need to stick to, this is not place to go. We had an appointment scheduled and 20 min later still sitting with feet soaking. They have been attentive to bring water, adjust foot bath temp, etc... BUT why am I waiting if I had an appointment?! I came into this salon with a friend who is a frequent customer, so I trusted her opinion of the service. I got Nexgen removal and new set with crystal pink. No cuticle cut. Before the polish coat was applied I was told "ma'am, get your credit card out " once the top coat was dry, associate 'Tony' walked off to get my bill. My middle finger got filed down shorter than the rest of my fingers. I was not given any lotion or wrist massage. (This might seem minor, but for a 35$ nail service I can get anywhere- it comes standard) So my fingers were heavily dry from the acetone soak off. When I asked for lotion, they told me they had to go find some..and they ended up handing me a dish with lotion on it from my friend getting a pedicure next to me, and I was told to use that lotion. It was my first time here and I will never go back. These used to be my real nails, but while the guy was filing off the previous polish he cracked my nail in the middle and cut my skin. There was so much blood that he had to wrap my finger in a towel while he completely finished my other nails. So to make up for it he cut all my nails short and put tips on. On top of all that the nails came out bumpy and uneven. When it came time to pay they still charged me full priced even though he literally cracked my nail in half and caused me to bleed. Sally did my nails today and cut me multiple times with the drill and then proceeded to put pressure on each cut with her bare hands ( extremely unsanitary, for both myself and her ) Sally then stood over me while I was tipping her before I left.(Makes most people feel really uncomfortable and forced to tip more) I was told it was a 15 minute wait and I waited 45 minutes before someone actually started doing my nails. I love this place and they do a great job on the "nail part" but when my skin is cut up and my fingers are bleeding when I leave, I can't help but be upset. read more

Yesterday I went in for a fill, after about a week and a half from the last time they did my nails. Kevin seemed to be in a huge rush. My fill looks awful. None of the nails are the same shape. I paid 45$ for a simple fill. They charged me to fix a nail that had broke, which I have never heard of. Usually a nail salon will fix a broken nail if it is their own work that broke. As he was finishing up he tells me, "be careful because the nails are so thin they might break" uhhh what? Didn't I just come in for a fill? Why would the nails be thin. This is the worst experience ever . Edward had an attitude , was rude and no customer service. With so many nail salons to chose from, Why go where you aren't treating right . Nope wouldn't recommend and will not be back. My tech was horrible, nails are filed completely uneven. Tech massaged my hands and left the cold wet towels on my hands while she started my pedicure. I ended up removing them myself after 10 minutes. She put lotion on my legs, wrapped them and then trimmed my cuticles during the pedicure. When I asked her about the foot and leg massage, she said she did it. I knew she didn't. The manager came over and claimed he saw her massage my feet and could provide video. I am pretty sure I know if I got a foot and leg massage...I'm not an idiot. Massive waste of money and time. I have been going here for 3 years, sadly this is my last. I feel the real test will be if my nexgen nails last more than a week. I will admit I didn't read the reviews before I came in. I came in on a Sunday and it was extremely busy. Even though every pedicure chair seemed to be full I didn't wait more than 10 minutes. I will say the lady did not do anything to my cuticles before she applied the dipping powder. I'm nervous to see if my nails will last. This place did offer me a drink which was polite unlike Cosmo nails that is right near them. The nexgen nails didnt last me more than a week which was pathetic. They do ask that you pay before they are done which I can see why it's off putting to some. The end of the service was weird. The lady did put my sandals on and then walked off. No thanks for coming. Or let me help you out the chair. A guy came over and put this square stool on wheels in between me and the chair next to me which made it harder to get out without messing up my nails. This was my first time to this salon. Initially, I was very impressed with the environment and how quickly I was seated for my walk-in manicure. I got a Nex Gen polish change. The results were incredibly underwhelming. She essentially didn't finish my manicure. My fingers were left with cuts from aggressive filing and I had stains left on my fingers and hands from the powder. The remaining dust was left on my hands and underneath my nails. The stains were only addressed after I spoke to the receptionist. The same lady who did my nails originally came back out to remove the stains. I mentioned the new cuts that were on top of my nails now and got an explanation instead of an apology. Disappointed to say the least. read more

I had a most disturbing recent experience at this salon that I felt I had to report here. After 2 years of patronage here with a lovely nail expert ANN, I was mistreated by her boss, EDWARD on 11-11-22. Upon arrival I explained, in a very calm, professional way, my pants had been stained during my last pedicure. I wore them that day to show him the streaks across them that have not come out after two washings. He was immediately arrogant that I even brought it up and became defensive. His answer was "if the stain happened here - it may have been an oil used for the leg massage during the pedicure. I accepted this and was going to a seat station for my usual monthly pedicure. He insisted I sit at the far end, right next to many other people, as he was 'filling up each station in order, working toward the front of the store'. I asked politely please, can I just sit closer to the entrance, away from people, pointing out there were a dozen open stations. I explained I already had covid months earlier, and with spikes in the flu and new strains around us - I did not feel comfortable sitting that close to people when there is an easy option. I asked to sit at the front of the store, by the window, station #1. He refused; said I can sit in the coffee area instead. I said sir, there is also high traffic in that area with all of your staff coming back and forth, the refreshment tables are there as well as path to restrooms. He became visibly annoyed with me. I said I am just not going to sit right next to all these other people when there are easily a dozen open seats on both sides open where I could have my 45 minute pedicure and be gone before the seats were ever filled. He finally said OK. The logic he presented as 'we have to seat people in order next to each other' was ridiculous. I did sit at the front seat, closer to the door - where I had better light also to read - and explained that to him. My favorite pedicurist came by with her supplies for my session and within 5 minutes afterward, this same highly un-customer friendly manager Edward approached me and said 'this is not working for us, and after this session, we do not want you as a customer here anymore'. I said 'what?' He accused me of being "difficult". I guess referring to mentioning the pant stain his salon caused and asking to be seated in one of the many many open seats - this is enough reason to ban me from his salon, forever. He said 'I am part-owner of this salon and we do not want you here anymore. We will pay for your damaged pants and today's pedicure but after today - do not come back - you are not welcome here anymore'. I was shocked and have never ever been treated so poorly by such an inexperienced person, who has no clue how to value or keep customers. During his chastising me in front of Ann and other customers and workers, he was smirking and smiling - like a child, which added to his complete inability to speak like an adult to someone who was a loyal customer. I said you are making a big deal over nothing. I merely told you the truth about the stain and showed you the evidence. I asked for NO reimbursement. And when I asked to have a distance between me and others in a salon, where no one was wearing a mask, and all were seated in very close proximity and some coughing, that should have been acceptable. I asked this at the time the store opened, 9:30am, when the majority of seat stations were not occupied (seen in the photo I took when my pedicure was nearly done).The result was exactly as I said to him.I got my entire 45-minute pedicure and only one new person was seated on the same row by the time I left. There was literally zero reason for him not to satisfy a simple request made for health reasons. It was more important for him to follow his protocol. With his male ego bruised, he took pleasure in embarrassing a good customer like me. He ruined my entire experience. I came in today to get a dip manicure and grandlux pedicure. I felt rushed as I had the manicure and pedicure begin while on the pedicure seat. This is normal, some places do it like this but it was not very relaxing and felt rushed. The prices are my main complaint. For a dip paint, it is $37 (not including the manicure). I didn't realize this so I asked for my cuticles to be cut and they mentioned it would be $5 extra for just a cuticle cut because a full out manicure is not included in the $37. I believe a full normal manicure is around $20. This is different than other salons which would give a dip or gel MANICURE for that price. The overall work of the nails is mediocre or average. I probably won't be back. Would recommend going elsewhere read more
