I see Vee for my acrylic sets. I have the hardest time choosing what I want because she literally can do anything! I bring her pics she can replicate it! Or I bring her a few sets I like and she makes something up ! She mixes and makes her own colors with her acrylic! She is unbelievably the most underrated nail artist in northern Kentucky! Their work is super inconsistent depending on what nail artist you get. At this point Julie should own the place because she does nails better than anyone in the business. Also they NEVER open on time. If your business opens at 9:30am you should be there not 5 or 15 minutes late. Today will be my last day coming to UV Spa nails because I'm tired of wasting money. Excuse my cuticles they need moisturizer but look how sloppy this paint job is and all the scratches on my nails. After waiting 20 minutes for them to open and on top of this horrible nail job I'm done with this place these nails are not worth $80. Finally a good nail salon in NKY! I went here for a fill in after a bad experience at another area salon. I waited quite a long time but it was because I came in after a big group. Not their fault. But they were super nice as I waited and let me know time estimates. She filed off the polish and we learned how TERRIBLE of a job the last salon did and I ended up needing another full set which was disappointing but not surprising. What I really loved was the attention to detail. She made sure I liked the length and shape and also spent SO much time making sure each nail was even, well shaped, the right length and painted perfectly. I'm new to the area and ended up choosing this salon because several reviews mentioned it was clean. I thought the salon was messy. I saw dust all over flat surfaces, the plexiglass shields were filthy, and the tables and walls were banged up. The whole salon just looked tired and worn out. The work he did is fine but the skin around my nails is discolored from the SNS powder. I've never had that happen. I had originally asked for a manicure with SNS but the technician did not give me a manicure. I didn't say anything because I didn't trust the cleanliness of the tools. My previous salon isn't necessarily convenient to drive to but I think I will make the drive. I haven't been impressed with any reviews I've seen on Yelp for northern KY salons. read more

I paid $110, but I was super happy with how they turned out. one week later while at the store I had a nail fall off, they said to come in to fix it. after waiting 45 minutes they said $15 to fix it!!! The Yelpers didn't disappoint! The shop was clean, I walked right in, chose my color and sat in V's chair. She was very friendly and knew her stuff. This place deserves 0 stars!!! Worst service ever! The lady giving me a pedicure was very rushed and rough. She stabbed me and when I told her it hurt she immediately got a sour attitude. When she started throwing my feet around I decided to leave and let her know that I was not paying for terrible service. Great nail salon! I've only ever had good experiences here. The nail technicians remember me when I come in, even though I might go a month or two in between getting my nails done, so that always makes me feel good! Everything is very clean, they have liners for their pedicure chairs, and they take health very seriously. They have so many different services and colors for nails, it's insane! My girlfriend and I went here tonight, so she could get her nails done. Previous nail salons were just not cutting it in terms of quality and service and they also couldn't do the rhinestone design she wanted. This salon however is different. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and not shortly after that seated and discussing what type of nails she wanted. When she mentioned the rhinestone design and showed the nail artist pictures. She went and got all the rhinestones they had (which is a lot in a bunch of varieties) to let her choose what layout she wanted. The lady who did our nails was very sweet and WAY good at what she does. She put all these tiny rhinestones PERFECTLY on her nails. The whole process was fun to sit and watch. The price wasn't bad considering what all she did. The atmosphere of the shop was nice and relaxing. A lot better quality than a lot of other shops around here. I had a gel fill in and pedi appointment my pedi went fine but my big toe nail chipped the next day and The guy who was supposed to do my fill in tried saying I needed to soak off the set I had on originally even though I've only had them maybe a little over two weeks. He was being really rough with my acrylic nails chipping the corners off telling me he knew they weren't from u v spa nails and asked where I got them done at. He made me feel really uncomfortable I decided to leave with my gel nail polish barley drilled off. I went to a different salon the next day and they had no idea why he wanted to soak off my nails when they were fine. They filled in the set I had and they're all still on looking and feeling great. I typically go to a specific salon for my nails but since I've moved deeper into the city, I wanted to try out a few new ones. This salon was near another store I was going to so I thought....great...I'll stop in here. When I got in, there was a wait, which I expected. I didn't expect there to only be 3 or so nail techs working on a Saturday afternoon. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I asked how long they thought it would be. They said I was next up so maybe 5 minutes. They then came back and said it would be about 30-35 more minutes because they forgot about someone else who had been waiting in the back area (pedicures). When they actually got to me, they loved fast but I needed to get my nails done over about a week later (which is not normal with the powder process. I started going to this place when I worked in Erlanger, and now that I'm working in downtown Cincinnati I still make the trip. I've gotten regular pedicures and regular and shellac manicures and have had an excellent experience all but one time (I've probably been 10 times or so). Anyway, they've got the cheapest shellac I've ever encountered ($30 for a manicure), but they'll charge an extra $5 to remove shellac applied at another nail salon. You're better off buying your own polish remover and performing the soak yourself. This is a very small family business: a husband and wife. I've seen one other employee there as well, but not within the last few months. If you're going to go, there's a chance you'll have to wait. You'll probably get seated up to 15-20 minutes before they can even get to you, which is something they'll do so that you don't get impatient and leave, but if there are more than 3 or 4 people, be prepared to wait. I would recommend this place to any one of my friends, but I'd advise to go during off hours (not in the middle of a Saturday afternoon). The staff is very friendly and you'll have a good experience. Even if you live right around the city, it's definitely worth the drive. read more

I had just recently had my nails done here and they were perfect unfortunately a toe nail and a finger nail had broken so I had made sure to be up there at a decent time today considering they wouldn't answer their phone at all. I get to the salon, yes knowing it's the day before Easter and is going to be busy, but it's only 2PM plenty of time to only TWO nails. I walk in and ask if I could please at least just have the finger nail fixed and the woman brushed me away with her hands and laughed saying " you see how busy we are ? This was my first time visiting here and I have to say that it was a fairly pleasant experience. I got a regular shellac and they turned out beautifully. My nails were perfectly squared off and the man working on them really took his time to make sure I was happy. The only reason this place got four stars instead of five is that my color didn't seem to last very long. After only 4 days they started to crack, but I got dark polish so it's not that noticeable. Today was my first time ever visiting this salon and I must say that I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY! I was a walk in and I didn't wait a single second to sit down. I asked for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. I got my pedicure first and the guy (I don't remember his name) was so nice. I had mentioned to him that this was only my second pedicure in my 26 years of life and that my feet are really ticklish. He did everything in his power not to tickle my feet. During the massage, instead of gently going over he bottom of my feet he did it harder than normal, which helps tremendously when you're feet are ticklish. When he was done painting my nails he had grabbed all my stuff to go straight to the table to get my acrylics on. The man that did those was so precise yet quick. I have never felt so good about spending money on pampering myself. I will definitely be going back and recommending them to my friends. read more

I went here for the first time today and the woman working is truly an artist! I get my long natural nails painted French tip and she also hand painted designs on them and they are breath taking. I don't think I've every been so happy with my nails. I found out while I was there that they also offer eyebrow waxing and the same woman did my eyebrows and there perfect she took her time with everything never rushing anyone and was very sweet and did the most amazing job.
