My gel nails lasted 3 weeks and I only removed them because they were so grown out. My pedicure still looked great after 3 weeks as well. Will definitely go back! OK so I have been coming here monthly since February 2017, my last review was a 5 stars, but today and the last three times I have come in it's just declined in service! I got a pedicure three weeks ago, using their nail polish which I usually bring my own! Well it was a so so pedicure nothing special, and after two days the nail polish started to flake off! First time using their nail polish and won't ever again!!! Today Sunday I got there 45 minutes after they opened, had cold water to soak in, because they said they hadn't turned the hot water on yet, REALLY??!!!! The nail tech, I had never seen before, she barely used any product on me (soap, lotion, gel), she did do a great job massaging my legs, but by 11am 6 people had walked in and she was rushing through my pedicure, painted my toes poorly, and didn't even trim or shape my toenails, when I pointed it out to her, she just put more nail polish over the big toe!! I'm so disappointed, just had a baby 5 days ago, snuck out for 45 minutes to pay $35 for a very awful experience, and leaving with unsatisfactory job!!! I like a lot of the girls here, but today was the drawing point! My two sisters and mom also come here, and I'm going to tell them we need to go somewhere else! If I cannot be the focus for 45 minutes to a business, because they are rushing to do more people than my business is going elsewhere!! read more

This place is conveniently located and you can usually get in right away. Just know that they don't make substitutions. For instance the #1 pedi is $18 and that includes hot rock, warm lotion, and warm towel. I don't like the rocks and asked if they could substitute them for honey sugar. That was a big NO. I suppose it's because one is product used up instead of inventory that will remain with them. That's ok. I pay the extra $5 for the sugar. read more

Had a pedicure and dip manicure at this place. The pedicure was okay,and at first I thought Wendy did a nice job on the fingernails. I paid to have my cuticles done; she just went over them with the electric tool, no trimming at all. After 24 hours my nails looked like a child had done them! I am never going back. I have been enjoying the massages with hot rocks and great service for over a year now and yes, I'm a fan. My last visit I tried a gel manicure and now I'm a convert. The manicure I received 9 days ago, still looks pristine, shiny. Called and made an appt and showed up 15 minutes early. They were ready and waiting for me. Pedicure was awesome, not just a salt scrub with lotion, but they do oil too and hot rocks. Chairs are large and comfortable. Had a full set done as well. Was in and out in 1 hr 15 minutes and for $55, including tip. Very friendly people, skilled and gentle. Excellent experience. I got a great manicure and pedicure there last week. The staff is really friendly, the treatment is much more involved than most (massages were excellent and lasted at least 5 minutes more than at other places) and the whole thing was $30. Normally I really have had great experience at this location, however the last time I was there was horrible. I am pretty sure that my nail lady had the flu, I thought she was going to pass out a few times, my pedicure was at least 15 minutes shorter then my friends, and the man at the front could care less. If I could give this a negative star, I would. So today I went into the salon with my nieces who are visiting from CA. We were planing to have a nice relaxing pedicure, but it turned out to be a complete NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all sat down and began the process of the basic pedi. I was adjusting the chair to comfort my medical conditions in my back and by just clicking one button. Instantly, Kelly (i think that was her name) said "don't' do that again. you pushed me". As minutes passed, my niece's nail tech pointed and started laughing at the floor. We looked down and it was literally soaking wet. Our purses and shoes were DRENCHED in water, which we had no idea where it was coming from. Apparently the nail tech accused me of breaking the spa chair therefore the leakage occurred. She kept pointing at me saying "you did it. you did it" and then started speaking in their language to the other nail techs. We realized my Betsy Johnson purse was soaked four inches in water, as well as my nieces purse and our shoes. She threw a towel at me with out even apologizing, still blaming the whole incident on ME. She grabbed the mop and bucket which was full of black filthy water and started cleaning up the mess. Putting a hold to my pedicure right in the middle, as I started to dry off my purse. It took her twenty minutes to clean up the flood. While in the process of mopping the floor, she was dripping the filthy bucket water all over my shoes. After finishing up with the mop she proceeded to my massage, still using the same gloves while mopping. I asked her kindly to remove the gloves. She angrily ripped them off and continued the pitiful pedicure. When she was done painting, she voluntarily tried to put my shoes that were contaminated with the black bucket water. I told her that the bucket water was dripping on my shoes. She wiped them with a dirty towel and said "is that good enough??" I said no, I want flip flops. WORST SERVICE I EVER HAD!!!! One of the worst pedicures we ever got ! Me and my girlfriend went here on a whim with the good star reviews and we should have listened to the bad star reviews . I called the salon specifically requesting an appointment with "Jenny" the gentleman asked how soon I could get to the salon and then asked for my name. When I arrived for the appointment I announced that I had an appointment with "Jenny" and this same gentleman who had taken my call a mere 15 minutes earlier confirmed if it was me who had called a short time earlier. I acknowledged I was. This is when a female had come out and placed me at her station. Now you may be wondering this all sounds acceptable until you the rest of the story. You see this is the first time I had gone to this salon. I was referred by a friend to "Jenny" who was @ 91st & Union Hills. The nail tech asked if this was my 1st time there and who had referred me. I told her my friends name and showed her a picture. The nail tech said "oh I remember her now" and continued placing the tips on my nails. Now is when it gets good. Half way into the appt the tech asks my name and then proceeds to tell me her name was KATHY NOT JENNY, REALLY! When I again questioned if she was "Jenny" as my appt was with Jenny her reply was "people get my name wrong". Now I know I'm in the wrong salon. So now what. Stay or go. I'm here, might as well stay. The gentleman who has now hoodwinked me is doing my pedicure. I express my displeasure that he knew I was calling for an appt with "Jenny" and his reply was I thought you were Jenny. Not buying that line for a second. The pedicure was not the best. The best part is they never apologized for their actions or offered to make any accommodations for what they KNEW THEY WERE DOING. Then had the nerve to ask if I wanted to include a TIP! NO THANK YOU AND I WILL SURELY NEVER BE BACK TO THIS SALON. I FOUND JENNY AND WILL BE SEEING HER FOR MY FUTURE NAIL NEEDS. read more

When looking for a new salon near my home, I went to Yelp! for help in my search. All I needed was a pedicure after doing some hiking and I wanted cute toes for my new wedges. For this salon, the good reviews kind of outweighed the bad reviews so I thought I would give them a shot... In reading the other reviews, to be safe, I called the salon and made an appointment. I got there about 7 minutes before my appointment time and picked a color. One of the technicians set up my chair and said it would be a moment since she was finishing up another guest. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I realized that she was STARTING the other client (who turned out to be a walk-in) and made me wait for a total of 30 MINUTES until she actually got to me... Now that she is finally working on my pedicure, she was not only rude but rushed through it considering she made me wait 30 minutes already while the whole time she's trying to up-sell me. She then proceeds to pumice (scrape off the dead skin) my feet and tell me after she did that that it's another $5 charge. WTF? How is that not standard? How do you do it and then tell me you are charging me? Does your salon let people with dry, yucky feet leave your salon after a pedicure? NEXT, she proceeds to ask for the color I picked out and asks if I want it on my whole nail or french and a design. I tell her I would like my whole nail with only the solid color I picked. She tries AGAIN to up-sell me a design, gem or anything to put on top of the color. I decline again. She paints my toes (quickly), did not put a top coat on and then went onto the next client without cleaning up the polish she got on my skin! BEST PART: When it was time to pay, she asked if I wanted it all on my card and I said you can charge me for the $20 pedicure. She said no it's $25 since she gave me the scrub. I told her I didn't give her permission to do the scrub and I am only paying for the pedicure. She swiped my card then proceeded to say she was the manager and that it was $25 and had the audacity to put her hand out and ask for a tip! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE! read more

It was time to find a new salon because I was tired of the "attitude" and unfriendly nature exuded by the employees at the salon I had been going to for several months (too long). After reading the great reviews for Glamour Nails, I decided to give them a try even though I probably passed no less than 10 other nail salons on the drive there. I called first to make sure they could do a gel polish manicure (which is awesome if you haven't tried it! Lasts about 2 weeks!) and to ask if I needed an appointment. I was told yes on the gel polish and to come on in! I arrived and was greeted with a smile. I was very happy with the attention to detail Ally put into the manicure and the gel polish removal process that occurred before the new polish could be applied. I was also told "thank you for coming in" several times which is a total switch from my previous salon! My nails look great and as an added bonus, the manicure is $5.00 less than what I was paying at the "unfriendly" place! Can't beat that! Having moved to AZ from Chicago, where there were at least 8 really good nail salons within 3 blocks of my apartment...I guess you could say I was spoiled. I have been in the Glendale/Peoria area for almost a year now and had yet to find a decent nail salon in the area until today. After researching on Yelp, Marian and Ayesha's reviews sold me on Glamour Nails...and they definitely did not steer me wrong. The service was excellent. The nail technician did an amazing job and took her time. She didn't skimp out on any portion of the pedicure or manicure...which has been my problem with every other nail salon I have visited here in AZ. The part where she used hot stones to massage my feet and legs was amazing! They have a great selection of OPI polish and the prices are extremely reasonable. My total for a mani, pedi and an acrylic on my big toe (i have a skanky toenail that refuses to grow back =) ) was only $33!! I will definitely be coming back to Glamour Nails! read more

I will never come back here. The girl who did my toes put so much polish on that it literally ran past my nail bed and then smeared all over the side of my toe. And while she put way too much on one side, she didn't even cover the nail on the other side with polish. She kind of tried to fix it but did a half assed and lousy job. My toes look horrible and messy and smeared. Then she charged me $15 more than the advertised price and argued when I questioned it. I just paid for the sub par work and left. I normally go to another place that goes consistently good work, but they were booked so my friend called around and this place had lots of walk in openings. I can totally see why. It is basically empty for a reason. My toes look so bad I didn't even have her do my fingers after as I had planned. So disappointed that I will go back to my regular place tomorrow and have them fix this mess. Total waste of money for a job that looks like a 3 year old painted my nails.
