Cool concept of a company but unfortunately very poor communication and execution. This business is a scam, do not rent or shop from here. I rented several outfits as a wedding guest for myself and partner (3 lehengas 2 kuptas). I booked several months in advance and was contacted last minute that 3 of 5 items are out of stock and will be changed, only provided a photo for 1 of those changes. I also confirmed multiple times that I would need them by the 12th since I would be out of town the next day and the shipment arrived 13th evening. I was able to drive back from a 4 day event to retrieve but unfortunately only 2 of the 3 lehengas were wearable - not to mention had an unpleasant odor. To my shock, they replaced the floral purple/burgundy I had chosen with a red/heavily gold embroidered bridal lehenga which I obviously could not wear. A lot of improvements, the big thing is that they did not have my kurtha that I originally ordered. After that, I did not receive a return box or printed shipping label for the rental. That was frustrating because all these tasks take extra time after the wedding. You had to find a FedEx for return. They charge $50 for late fee for two days, did not get my security deposit back. I am from NJ so I was able to pick up the outfits directly and have them tailor made to my specifications. I know that is not the case for people that are out of town. The quality was top-notch and looks much more expensive than what I paid. The downside is that our wedding was two months ago and I still haven't received my deposit. I'm emailing her continuously and she said she is processing it but I haven't received it. I should have read the other reviews here first. I will be seeking legal action if I don't get it back. Stay on top of her if you order from her. She seems to imply that she wants you to leave a review before you get your deposit back to here it is. Unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unreliable. I rented a lehenga from Glamourental and requested a cancellation a few days later. I understand I missed their 24-hour cancellation policy but instead of enforcing that upfront (in which case I would have returned the dress for store credit and used it later in the year for another event), they confirmed my cancellation and refund in writing, telling me it would process in 3-5 business days. Three days later, they reversed their position. They began texting me in all caps, with spelling errors, multiple times in a row, arguing with me and trying to guilt me into accepting the charge, after they had already promised me a refund. It was chaotic and incredibly unprofessional. They also ignored my emails and live chat messages for almost a week. I only received a response after I mentioned filing a credit card dispute which tells me a lot about how they handle customer service. Even after I explicitly asked them not to text me, they continued messaging me. It felt invasive and borderline harassing. I've submitted all documentation to my credit card company and filed complaints with the BBB and FTC. I never received or wore the item. Their behavior was wildly unprofessional and stressful not at all what I'd expect from a business catering to weddings. I ordered 2 lehengas a month before my cousin's wedding, and a few days before I had to fly out, she texted me saying the lehengas I wanted weren't in stock (even though it showed available online). I picked out new lehengas, even though I wasn't happy with them, because I was on a time crunch and needed outfits. I was expecting to receive the package the day before I flew out, even though I initially booked the rental starting a few days prior to flying out, but the package never arrived. I texted, emailed, and called her multiple times checking in on the status of the shipment, only to find out they NEVER shipped the package. She said, "Oops, the lady that helps me forgot to ship it out"... like that's a valid excuse after everything. I asked for a full refund because it was her f*ck up, but she refused and denied any fault. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. If you are considering buying from this company, please DON'T. There are far better companies out there who are more professional and worth your money. Quality is cheap - they take an XL and hem it to an XS without taking out fabric and customer service is non-existent. I ordered a pink Lehenga and was reached out to by glamour rental saying it would not arrive in time from india, and then all of a sudden changed her mind and said it will when i wasn't liking the limited replacement options. They ended up taking a size L/XL lehenga and hemming it to be a size XS. It's normal to have a little fabric inside the top/skirt but not as much as this (see videos/photos) I sent multiple polite emails and phone calls asking for a refund for just that lehenga and it took her weeks to respond only to tell me that it was "hemmed to a size XS" I had to scramble the last minute on Sangeet to buy an outfit, don't waste your money, just take the extra time to find an outfit, you can find a solid lehenga for $150/$200 if you give yourself enough lead time then sell it after. read more

They eventually acknowledged that the outfit would not arrive in time literally ONE DAY before the event but refused to refund us and instead offered to send another, random outfit (never provided details) to our Air BnB despite there being zero chance that would've worked. I eventually received a damaged package that I didn't bother opening two full weeks after our event. Despite our repeated attempts to pursue a refund, they once again went radio silent and instead blamed the damaged package on me (missing the entire point). We had to scramble to get our outfits from a local vendor- which ended up being substantially cheaper and we owned them outright instead of renting. They are literally stealing my money. We ordered delivery rental Kurta and Lehenga for 3 days; here are the issues: 1. The clothing arrived a day late. 3 day rental payment became a 2 day rental with no offer of reducing the rental fee. 2. The Kurta sized large was quite literally sized for a small. Either it was shrunk or they tailored it at one point. 3. I dropped the rentals for return at USPS with the shipping label they provided on the final day of the 3 day rental. After following up with them when they received it, Glamour Rental tried to claim that I did not mail the package in time and were going to charge a fee for late return. I directed them toward the tracking information and they admitted I shipped it on time. 4. They followed up and said they performed the inspection "We will send you a confirmation once the refund has been processed." This was over 2 weeks ago. 5. I have followed up 4 times since then and they have not returned the security deposit and have stopped returning my emails. They are literally stealing my money and ignoring me. SCAM. As you'll see from other people who have posted here and on Google reviews and Yelp. They frequently scam people out of their money and refuse to issue deposits and refunds. I have proof showing I ordered a rental item and that rentals that don't fit are entitled to a refund, but the seller insisted I ordered something custom (which I never even submitted measurements for). Then, I filed a case with PayPal and they threatened me saying they would only issue my security deposit if I withdrew my case, which I did not. After violating their own return policy, they committed fraud again by updating their return policy page to make it look like they updated their policy to no refunds in April. However, I have proof they are lying, both in screenshots dated May 1 & 2 of the original policy, and in the source code of their website that shows the policy was updated in May and after my purchase. I still have no refund of my purchase or the security deposit even though I followed their original return policy and shipped the garmet with zero damage within 24 hours of receipt. To top it off she asked us to write a good review on yelp as soon as we received our dresses which i did, this review is now updated. She also charges an excessive amount for cleaning because the rim of the dress was dirty. One of the outfits I rented arrived unwearable. The pants were stained and sewn to the size of my waist without a zipper, meaning there was no way to get them on. I messaged them immediately upon realizing this. They never responded. I messaged again the next day and asked for a refund or an explanation of how to get these pants on. They asked for photos, which I sent, then they again went silent. I could not return the faulty rental within the full refund window as I left the country the day after reviewing the rental. Upon returning to the US, I checked in on a refund for the damaged outfit. No response. Ten days later, I'm starting to feel like I was robbed, as I had not received any communication nor my security deposit. After several additional messages asking for assistance, they finally returned my security deposit. However, they argued with me about the damaged rental. They eventually agreed to a partial refund, which I'm still waiting for, nearly 6 weeks later. I gave the size but had some concerns with the fit so I emailed them - it took a while to get a reply but eventually was reassured it would fit. I also ordered it so that it would arrive a few days early before I traveled to the wedding. She texted me saying that my original choice was not available anymore (it arrived late and couldn't be cleaned and shipped in time) so she recommended a similar one - this one was more expensive but she was kind enough to send it without me paying extra. Unfortunately, I ended up receiving the wrong lehenga (pink color and size 2x larger) and so I texted and called. I give her kudos for answering back immediately (it was quite late at night) and luckily she was able to sort it out. Given the timing, I had to have the lehenga shipped to a different address but luckily I received it in time at the hotel! The lehenga was beautiful and lot of people commented how beautiful it was! I texted her back asking about the return of the security deposit and she did it immediately. All in all - a little hectic given the mix-up, but she responded quickly and sorted it though. It was not folded nicely - just shoved in the bag - and it smelled of cigarette smoke and cleaning solution. Even if the item had fit, I would not have worn it due to the smell. I reached out to the company and they advised me to send back the dress. I received the delivery on a Friday; I work on Saturdays and was unable to get to the post office. The following Monday was a federal holiday so I was unable to send it back until Tuesday. The company refuses to refund me for the item as it was not returned within 24 hours, but that was physically impossible I would not recommend this company. The sizing is a bit variable so you may need to use safety pins to get the right size for you but that wasn't a problem at all. Had many compliments on the outfit! I had several issues with this company - they did not have the initial lehenga that I ordered and paid for and sent me 3 alternative options. I chose a new one and was then sent the incorrect outfit that I had not chosen. I notified the company of this and they said that the one they sent was "more beautiful" than the one I ordered so I should not have an issue with receiving the wrong one. I also ordered an XS and the lehenga was a size 8 with huge darts in place to attempt to make a smaller size. Lastly, the whole outfit did not smell clean / fresh at all. Horrible customer service and unorganized. Went to Neha to rent a lehenga for my brother's wedding, found a beautiful one, paid the money to rent it along with $200 deposit. It needed some alternations done on the top to fit properly. Unfortunately between the time I tried on my lehenga and the day I was supposed to pick it up, she allowed my father and brother (the groom) to come try their outfits both of which were too small. My brother custom ordered his outfit and even his shoes were too small. This along with other miscommunications and poor customer service led to my decision to not rent with Neha. As a plus sized girl I have always had issues with sizing and I was extremely wary that my dress would not fit me. Neha always insists that "it's fine" however I did not trust her to provide me an outfit with correct alterations at this point. I spoke with Neha and tried to get my money back. She claimed there was nothing she could do and was completely rude and didn't seem to care about my concerns. She claimed she would refund me my $200 deposit the night I spoke to her. Alas, a week later still no refund. I had to reach out to her in which she needed my name and Venmo information to give me a refund...I'm confused why she did not collect this information to refund me the day we spoke about the refund. I was trying to get at least half of what I paid for the dress back as it was still weeks before the date of the wedding and she had not made any alterations, she had only held my dress for the 3 days. She claimed she could not refund me this was policy. However on her website it says you can receive store credit if you cancel a rental AFTER 24 hours. I was not offered store credit and when I brought this up to Neha she claimed it was "too late" even though her own policy does not have this stated. I wanted store credit because my brother still owed money on his custom outfit as it was still not completed because the first try it was too small AND the wrong color. When I brought this concern to her she just stopped answering me. Over all she has nice clothes sure, but it's not worth dealing with the complete headache she will give you. She's unorganized, not understanding, and hardly responds back to calls or texts. If you're going to be a business owner customer service should be a top priority but for Neha it is not! Nightmare of a company. Look elsewhere. Quick summary of my issues: 1. Package arrived late - thankfully hours before I was scheduled to leave, but definitely a completely unreliable delivery time. If you absolutely must rent with this company I would say budget at least 2-3 days in advance to have it arrive. You cannot rely on their estimated delivery dates. 2. Package arrived in a broken, overly re-used box. It was covered in tape and there were still holes in it. Dress inside was just sitting there, no plastic or protective covering. Given the remainder of my experience I'm certain that if the dress had been damaged in transit they would have blamed me. I almost wonder if this was the plan. 3. No return label was included. I had to reach out repeatedly over 3 days over email, WhatsApp and their website to get it. 4. No confirmation that the return had been received. 5. No refund on my deposit as of yet. I have been chasing for a week, and its been over two weeks since my item was confirmed delivered by USPS. Today I got a message "my mom passed away" in response to me following up on a message I got yesterday that it would "be done by end of day". No confirmation if it had been done or not. 6. Similar to others reviews, the lehenga was just an XXL that had been folded over and hastily stitched to be a smaller size. In short, do not rent with this company. The mental load I have spent tracking the package to me, tracking the return label and now tracking the refund is not worth it. Full time job. If you value your time or your sanity, look elsewhere. UPDATE: After 3 weeks of back and forth I have been informed that the delivery was late and there will be late fees. I returned it two days early. I have photos and time stamps of my drop off thankfully. I had a seven day rental and only had possession of the dress for less than 72hrs. Neha takes the trouble to alter the measurements to the correct size and gives an honest opinion about whether a certain outfit can be altered to our size. I highly recommend her boutique for outfits to rent when attending weddings or during festive seasons if one doesn't want to spend too much on ethnic wear or have them in their closet if they honestly don't think they are going to wear them again! I like the selection she has and she keeps expanding her boutique with new collections all the time. It started out ok with Neha, although she didn't have my size in anything (14) she assured me she would order the only one that I did try on in my size so I paid her over $400 for my rental and deposit. A few days later she texts me and says oh they can't get that one so here's some other ones. Hurry and pick one. Based just on a picture from India? I didn't really like them but was pressured so I picked one. Many weeks later when I tried it on I didn't like it. Color and style were not flattering. Neha always says it's good it's good. No matter what you like. I'm the mother of the groom and she really didn't care what I looked like. She never had any other items for me to try. She had my money so never bothered to try and correct it. Now my son. I paid her almost $700 to get a handmade Kurta from a picture. She had it made and finally I picked it up. Although it was beautiful. It was navy and gold. We clearly told her numerous times which we had texts to prove we asked for navy and Silver to match the bride. Even she couldn't talk her way out of that so we waited again for them to make it over. The shoes were 3 sizes too small, white and gold. And we asked for silver pants and she gave us white. She basically does whatever she wants even for supposedly custom garments. Now my husband. He was measured for a rental. When I picked up my sons (wrong color) Kurta she let my husband try his on. Way too small. Even tho he was measured. On one of my many trips back to her (1 hour each way) she shows me my husbands outfit which she says is bigger now. It's a completely different pattern. She says it's fine. My daughter and I went to Iselin NJ and bought (not rented)lehenga 2 weeks before the wedding for $269 each. Although Neha did not rent anything to us. Didn't stop renting the items In Between nor did she alter any lehenga for us, she refused to give any money back because we were dumb enough to pay in full months before the event. Her communication is horrible. Her bookkeeping is a mess. We brought 6 people to her for buy and rental and she made it a stressful and difficult experience. Thank God for the stores in Iselin. Renting an outfit for over $200 for 3 days is steep but not renting and her keeping our money is robbery. In the end she kept my husbands security deposit of $100 because she said there was a small stain on a shoe that she never even charged us a deposit for. This company is a scam. Red Flags 1. They have changed their website. Original website says company was based in New Jersey and now, it's based in Vietnam. Their New Jersey phone number leads to a voicemail box that is always full. The phone number now listed is a weird 800 number that looks falsified. 2. I placed an order on their original website and asked if they could change the dates on my rental. They responded that they could. I asked for the change to be reflected on my order and in my account's order history. They never changed it so the dates were still the incorrect dates. 3. I placed an order on their old website and now their new website does not recognize my email address or let me view my previous order history. It looks like there is no record of my order. Fortunately, I took print screens of my order and have the confirmation email. 4. I have also emailed them many times since the first email regarding the incorrect date and have gotten email undeliverable messages each time since. 5. Fake website, fake address, fake phone numbers, fake email address. There is no way to contact them about your order. Please stay away from this scam. read more
