I was able to be seen last minute before the new year and it was just so chill once I stepped inside. There was old school music playing in the background which was awesome since I love the music. My lashes didn't take but 1.5 hours for a full set and they looked perfect! I honestly could not ask anyone else to do them better. I also liked that it was not an uptight salon or anything like that. The lady was nice as hell and could make me laugh. Plus, everyone apparently was using them because it was packed--which means this is a great place to go. Best part is they take card and cash. I was able to schedule an appointment with Kim on short notice! Before the application she had me sign a few papers. She also asked what music I listen to so that I would be comfortable. She had me take a look after finishing one eye to see if I was happy with the outcome. I told her I wanted a fuller look, so she added more before moving to the next eye. It's been about a week and a half, and I'm now noticing that several of my own lashes were never used. This is my second time getting lash extensions and my first time with Kim, so I know now why they could have look fuller, had ALL my lashes been used like my first time (I went to Harmony Beauty Spa in Pinole. Highly recommend that place!) After she finished and I looked in the mirror, I immediately noticed they were not as full as I wanted them to be, like my first time. However, I did not want to be rude as it was already past 8pm, she had rescheduled appointments with another client to accommodate me, and she gave me $25 off for my birthday. So many things wrong! I was not shown different types of lashes only given a verbal choice of length. I asked for natural looking, just a smidgen past my own lashes. I ended up trimming them after about 3 days. Looked ridiculous on me that long. One staff member was on their cell phone constantly while working with a customer. It took only an hour, I realized why later...by the end of the first week more than half of the lashes had fallen off (my own lashes were still in place). By the end of the second week there were only 2 left that had actually been attached to my own lashes. Since then I've spoken with others who said they had the same issues from this salon. read more

I came to Kim with lashes that were terrible: completely full of glue, stuck together and extremely hard. Kim took the time to redo the mess I had going that could have eventually led to diseases and loss of my lashes. Oh my gosh, Kim is a lifesaver!! I got some really bad eyelash extensions from a place in Napa. Eight days later (today) they are clumped up with gaps in between the lashes. Not only did they look bad but they were making my eyelids itchy and irritated. And it was just getting worse by the minute. I called Kim to ask her if she can remove extensions. She could tell that I was upset and said yes and to come over immediately. She was so sweet, sat me down and got right to work. I was so worried that the extensions would ruin my real lashes, but you can't even tell I ever had extensions on. And as soon as they were off my eyes felt back to normal. She said that way too much glue had been used and some were even stuck to my eyelids. Kim has had extensive training and has been in the business for many years. She knows what she is talking about and is very sweet and professional at the same time. Her shop is really cute too. Here's a helpful hint, don't get eyelash extensions from a Groupon deal. This was the first set of lash extensions I ever had. Today is exactly one month and 2 days from the date of my original set and I do not have any extensions left. I did not remove them purposely and I took care of them exactly as instructed. The office itself was tiny and cluttered. Loved the lashes( 150.00) but within two days I had a large blank spot where a clump fell out on one eye. I texted Kim and she said to schedule a fill in Facebook,as she was booked solid with appointments for the next few days. Kim had just finished telling me herself she makes her own schedule and takes appts. On weekends/evenings as needed but couldn't find a half hour to fit me in. I scheduled the appt. online (50.00) and went in for 1st fill at 12 days. Again, following that appointment within the week I had multiple lashes fall out. I took pictures and sent to her the next day-again she said she couldn't fit me in before I left on vacation in three days( vacation was my whole reason for having the lashes applied. So 200.00 in and 2weeks exactly and my lashes were totally uneven and spotty. To spare the reader of this review time and confusion I will just be concise and to the point from here: - Kim's pricing is shady. She charged me 150.00, my friend ( yes I sent her a new referral ) only 120.00. When we inquired about the discrepancy (separately )the explanation was wish you-washy and seriously made NO sense. She told my friend the reason for the difference was "referral" price supposedly but had never mentioned that once when taking her payment. Since when does a new referral get What about the person who gave the referral. She NEVER mentioned any "referral"discounted to me when I let her know my friend was scheduled for a full set that same day of my 1st fill. Not until AFTER I had already given her 200.00/2visits and asked her to explain the difference in charges she said " oh, next visit" I would get the discount. Mm mm- hmmmm. - I am a professional who works in a hospital 4x10 hour days -not even 10 minutes away from her spot. I have 3 full days off each week. Kim was too busy to fix her mistake. Maybe she just didn't care that I was walking around for the last week or so with literally one eyelash on one eye and a few wonky stragglers on the other. It was embarrassing. She told me she'd text me if she had any openings-never did in a whole week. That was the last straw for me. - I sent Kim pictures of my extensions so she could actually see how they looked. I was always professional and civil in my many dealings w her via text. She did not have the same consideration for me. She got nasty w/ me and insinuated I was lying about the issues w my lashes even though I had sent her pictures to document my claim. - I am a professional who works full time for the State and money is NOT an issue. I have better things to do than beg for an appt. to fix her mistake or try and bilk someone out of a few bucks trying to get a refund. It is the principle of the matter that really just didn't sit well with me. I just wanted her to make it right and fix my eyelashes but she refused. It looked ridiculous. -I was treated like an annoyance and several times just plain ignored. My friend will not be returning either.This is why I sit and waste an hour of my weekend to write this review- to inform others of the terrible experience I had w/Kim at Glamrlash. I read more
