I discovered Vy's Beauty Lounge while looking for head spas around the area. I opted for the $140 option, which included a mini facial, shoulder and neck massage, and of course the luxurious head spa! I booked with Lily who was very friendly, as she led me to the head spa station she asked me to pick a scent from a box. I opted for the green tea scent. She did a scalp analysis beforehand and she said my scalp looked pretty healthy. Yay! After laying down on the bed, she placed a heated eye mask and strapped some heated contraptions to the bottom of my feet. It was suuuper relaxing. I don't want to spoil the rest of the experience, but at $140 it was very well worth the money, especially compared to head spas in the Bay Area. I had a great and relaxing experience, and my hair and scalp felt so much better. My hair was super soft and my face was supple after the mini facial. I was greeted by Tammy who was the tech that did my hair and scalp treatment. She brought me to the room for the treatment. The room was organized and clean and well managed. My favorite part of the whole treatment was the microscopic view of your scalp that Tammy does for you to see the before and after of your scalp! Let me start by saying I've been getting my eyebrows waxed here for a couple of years, and I've only had an issue one other time about six months ago. Yesterday, I called and asked if I could get my eyebrows done and was told I could come in right away. When I arrived, the technician who was doing eyelashes said she could take me immediately. From the beginning, the service felt rushed, as if she was trying to get through my appointment quickly to return to her eyelash client. During the waxing, she repeatedly blew on the wax stick before applying it to my eyebrows. This same thing happened about six months ago, and afterward I broke out in small bumps. I didn't say anything at that time, but this time I politely asked if she could wave the stick instead of blowing on it, explaining that I had previously broken out. She became visibly irritated and responded that she was just trying to make sure the wax wasn't too hot. I acknowledged that, but reiterated my concern based on my past reaction. She then quickly finished my eyebrows. I left with them uneven and a noticeable chunk missing from the beginning of my left eyebrow. I was extremely disappointed with the service. Beyond the poor result, blowing on a wax stick and then applying it to a client's face is unsanitary and unprofessional. read more

Hello Yelp! I've been coming to Vy's for about three years now. Everybody is absolutely beyond wonderful! No matter who I book with my Lashes turn out completely phenomenal, Usually, I'm very picky however every artist every single artist here is a 10/10. I stand on that! Almost every time I request an appointment they schedule me exact time I asked or it's just slightly off, but it's always within the next hour or so. Also, the prices are VERY FAIR!! I've never felt overcharged, even for a full set after im late for a late fill lol The vibe is paradise, very very clean, smells great! It's seriously the most beautiful place. Very calming soothing music, they even offer a soft blanket while you get your lashes done. in the summertime the air conditioning runs pretty well in there, so the blanket is just comforting to take a little bit a nap or have a comfortable place to put your hands. I was very excited to try out there VBL signature hair care treatment. this includes services such as facial with your choice of masks, microscopic scalp evaluation and a "blow out drying". I'm highlighting this section of the treatment because none of it was done. no evaluation of my scalp no helpful insight, no choice of mask the mask used was a sheet mask. and the blow out drying was a half way dry hair. Now for the services provided. no blanket given so your freezing the entire time. And at one point a towel Was placed over my eyes while they sprayed water on the towel. Came in today for a VBL scalp treatment. I was expecting a super relaxing experience. Got there a few minutes early, my esthetician was running a few minutes late. Once she got me we went to the back and I was given something to put on and a choice between essential oils. The room was pretty small. The table wasn't that comfortable but they give you a blanket and foot warmers to try to make you comfy. As soon as we started I heard a LOUD male voice talking on the phone that carried on the entire 90 minutes of my treatment which was anything but relaxing. I also heard a small child running up and down the halls being super loud as well. It was so noisy I couldn't even hear the relaxing music that was playing. Trying to relax while getting this service done was nearly impossible with the extra noise. The esthetician apologized for it but I knew it wasn't her fault. The esthetician that I had was super sweet and nice the entire time. She proceeded with a neck/shoulder massage, a mini facial where I used my own products, then went to the scalp treatment. The service overall was just an okay experience. The best part was the scalp massage... For anyone with textured or coarse hair getting this treatment I'd recommend bringing a comb to comb your hair after and blow drying your hair yourself at home. They have a Dyson blow dryer but I need a blow dryer with a comb attached so I opted out of letting her blow dry my hair. I combed my hair with my comb i brought with me and planned to blow dry my hair at home. I did receive a 20% discount for being a first time customer which was nice. However I don't believe the service is worth the full cost they charge. All in all I won't be back for this service but possibly something else. read more

Ive been looking for a spa that did them so my husband booked me the top package at the tune of $140. Now thry have a tik tok of everything they offer its also on the website what they offer. My experience was not at ALL what they offer no massage wait I did get a 20 second hand massage with FREEZING cold lotion. The girl who did my head spa was not the normal girl so rather than reschedule me they had someone who didnt know what she was doing fill in. I kept waiting snd waiting thru the treatment to see if maybe she will massage my head neck face etc like it states. NOTHING she started putting knots in my hair. At the end they are supposed to show you your scalp and blow dry your hair well that didnt happen she had lashes to go do she was out! I was left with wet hair it was a shampoo and condition of my hair for $140 my hair dresser does better! I didnt wanna cause a scene as they had a handful of customers in the store. I quietlyleft and texted the owner Vivian she apologized said the lady Tami who usually does it was sick but she would book me to come back and try it. I was like ok Ill give them a second chance this lady has rescheduled me over 3 times and cancels well today I finally went in first they needed to investigate my lashes as 2 days ago I got them done there and I was experiencing the worst pain ever! The owner had me lay down she looked at my lashes and said they need to come off so they spent an hour taking them off which was beyond painful. They then walk me back for my head spa treatment have me undress they then come in and say sorry our landlord just texted us they are turning off our water for the next 4 hours. WTF so my question to them is hmmmmm your working on peoples eyelashes mind you they had a full house and how are you gonna wash your hands? Lies! I have been more than nice never caused a scene in their shop tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have asked for a refund she refuses I have no interest in doing business there anymore I have blisters on my eyelids they wont even refund me for the lashes that were put on wrong!!! After the first night, I was already having lashed fall off, no big deal usually but throughout the duration of only a week, more than half of them had already fallen off!! The first thing I noticed is how comfortable I was when she was putting the little eye pads on. I've had other experiences where the pads would pinch my eyes & it would hurt. So I was happy she was gentle & put the pads on perfectly the first time. It was a comfortable experience but one thing that did make it less than perfect is someone used the bathroom (#2) & I could smell it all the way from the back because they left the door open . I gave it 4 stars only because you don't get a full blowout, and I left not feeling great with my hair because it's curly and the way it was dried, was only halfway, so you know it was not fully curly, nor fully straight and I have a lot of volume, so it was a lion's mane that was untamed. Other than that, I found out that my scalp is healthy, and I learned that a double wash every few days truly helps maintain a healthy scalp. The subject matter expert provided a good walk through of the process and it was a 90 minutes session that put me in such a relaxed state of mind. There's an initial view of your scalp, then the process begins, a double wash, a mask & a heated conditioning process at the end. I would recommend it for anyone wondering if they have a healthy scalp or not.
