I called Five Star very late in the afternoon and I was in a bind. It was a situation with a broken…read morewindow at a friends home that I was repairing. First win - the young lady answered the phone on the second ring. Second win - she asked me to hold while she checked to see if the technician to cut a specific size of glass was still around in the back. Third win - she confirmed that he was available, they were still capable and willing to accommodate my request. Fourth and final win and requires props - I am now a "customer for life" with Five Star Glazing. I showed up to pick up my piece of glass. The owner actually assisted me with replacing it in the frame, put it back together, and helped me in every way he could, going WAY above and beyond What I expected to encounter. They have the customer at front of mind, just like we expect it to be, but rarely if ever encounter any more. They even stock ancient parts as he produces them with technology as a friend. Call them and talk to Selena or Ben if you have a special need or request. Clearly, they focus on customer service and satisfaction and are just great at what they do and very kind. If you need anything Glass related - these guys are the best I've ever seen at serving customers and having the knowledge to provide you with a solution.

Just finished using Arcadia glass to fix my glass window and sliding door. I called a million…read moreplaces and nobody would call back or would tell me they only fixed their own windows or only replaced the full window. What a pain in the gl-ass. I called Arcadia and they gave me an estimate relatively quick, but I thought the price was a little steep. Come to find out, it was actually very reasonable after a few different quotes from some sketchy places. So I called Arcadia and spoke with Kim and she got me all set up for my window replacement.( By the way if you call, you'll speak with Kim. she's is very friendly and I'm pretty sure she lives there because she always answers the phone on the first ring and no matter what time of day it's always her, which is great!) Anyways, they told me they would come out between 1 and 3, so I figured they would come out at 3-6 because I've heard that song before. I got a call at 11 from the installer asking if he could come out early!! They fixed the glass in record time and it looks great! The installer even put the dog door and alarm sensor back AND swept my patio! Thanks Kim and Arcadia glass! I promise I'll be more careful when mowing my lawn from here on.

I have uploaded screenshots of the texts to Yelp. Business owners threatening people is unprofessional, unacceptable, and illegal. Original 4/20/18: Today I was the victim of reckless driving from a man in a Bishop Glass van, and then when I called the number, Mike (the owner) was very rude to me. I was driving home from work when a Bishop Glass van pulled out of a gas station without stopping (or looking, it seems) causing me to emergency brake to avoid a collision. My work bag flew off of my passenger seat. I honked. As I resumed driving a moment later, the van slammed on their brakes. I think he was trying to brake-check me. I stopped in time and jumped over two lanes to avoid him and continued on my way, being careful to drive just under the limit in hopes that the van would leave me in the dust. Instead, he drove up next to me, and when I got to the turn-in for my apartment, he slowed down and honked at me while flipping me off. I felt threatened and intimidated. I'm still shaky with adrenaline. Luckily, the van had had the logo and contact number on the back, so I almost immediately called and spoke to the owner, Mike Mayer. Mike was exceptionally rude to me. When I told him what happened, he responded with "Are you sure? Are you sure that's what happened? Are you sure you're not telling a little white lie?" in a sing-song voice. As I tried to explain what happened and the seriousness of it he became very accusatory. He sarcastically asked me if I just wanted some free some free glass. He repeatedly interrupted me. He accused me of making it all up. He accused me of being the aggressive driver. He kept asking what I wanted. When I said that an apology would be nice, he sarcastically asked me if he should ask the driver to call me. Honestly, all I was looking for was to be heard. I knew that the driver was not going to get in trouble. But instead, Mike yelled at me. If he had been polite... or even just civil, I would not feel motivated to leave this review.

The person he almost hit said something to him and the driver started cursing and yelling at the other man. Completely unprofessional. Upon further reading of reviews I see there is a common factor of aggressive driving over the last couple years. Maybe road rage courses should be in order or possibly some anger management?
