We replaced all the windows in our home and our sliding patio door. From start to finish our experience was fantastic. Rudy provided the quote and went over all of our initial questions. He guided us through all the options with some recommendations. He was great, very knowledgeable and there was no pressure. The windows came in a little earlier than estimated and Jamie got us scheduled very easily for the install. Adam and his crew completed the install on a very hot day in June. They worked efficiently, even though I believe they may have been short handed that day. Again, the install was completed in a shorter time than promised and the work they did was so professional. Just a few scuffs to paint here and there which are to be expected with a big job like this, so no problem there at all. The windows have completely elevated the look of our home. The cost was more than reasonable. I had a small but out of the ordinary job to replace 2 windows down to the studs and had a heck of a getting other companies to follow through with a quote. Jason was super knowledgeable and provided a reasonable quote on the spot, including stucco repair work. The crew did quick work on the install. We are in the middle of remodeling the house and one of the projects we wanted to get done this year were new windows. I had several quotes from window companies but I found that Affordable Windows & Exteriors was the best all around. Rudy was so friendly, honest and informative. You could tell he was proud to be working for the company. His presentation was excellent! He came with a sample window, thermometer gun and heat gun. He showed me how much their windows absorbed the heat. The heat gun was 346F and on the other side of the glass, it was showing 98F. Incredible difference. Not only that, but the windows are manufactured in AZ, the window installers are employees of the company (not subcontractors), their prices were affordable and reasonable and they have a double lifetime warranty! You can't beat that! The owner of the company came and did the final measurements and he was so friendly, helpful and efficient. I think it says a lot about a company when the owner is involved with every transaction. Even the front office staff like Jamie and Diane were really communicative and nice. Everyone was on the same page with timeline, expectations, etc. I never felt out of the loop. The day of the installation, we got a stellar team--Devin, Jackson and Oliver! I moved as much furniture as I could before the install, but wasn't able to move the really big, heavy furniture--the guys were so gracious with moving it out of the way and with great care. The removal of the windows and installation was absolutely seamless. They took out my security doors and French doors and replaced it with a sliding glass door and I could not be happier! They also tackled a custom triangle window that other companies said they couldn't do. These guys can do it all!! I am so happy with how everything turned out. I've spent nearly 25,000 in having all of the windows in my house replaced. The first two installations went great the third one has been a complete debacle. One window was missed and two of the screens do not fit. It has been months now and I have not yet been able to get that last window nor the screens replaced. The salesman Jason is fantastic and very helpful but the company behind him is pathetic. About a week ago I left a message requesting a conversation with the owner and have yet to receive a phone call. And I still don't have my window and screens. read more

I found Affordable Windows Plus Exteriors by "researching" (googling) local companies and wanted to check out their product. Looking to get out of our aluminum windows that conducted heat and cold, I thought vinyl windows to be the logical choice for longevity and cost effectiveness. I am very pleased with the decision to use Affordable Windows + for the job! We installed 12 windows throughout the home my guys Dan, Kage and Brandon knocked it out of the park! They were professional, respectful and efficient and were able to get all windows installed within a few hours with having to go up and down stairs and what not. Kudos to you guys because it looked like some of these were a (bleep) to install. The finish is perfect and the windows look great. Now having the windows installed for a little over a week, I can confirm that road noise is greatly reduced! This is a giant win for these things. Also, the darker window option (I think it allows like 40% of light in) is super necessary for sun facing windows. The light coming in is a bit bluer in hue than natural sunlight, so plan accordingly! Overall, Affordable Windows + Exteriors is a great company to work with. The whole process from consultation to shipping communication and finally installation has been fantastic. They were very communicative and quick to answer any questions. Shipping was altered because newsflash we are in a pandemic, but I never wondering what was going to happen. We are really happy with our purchase. Rudy came to our house several times to talk shop and make sure we picked out the right windows. Dan and Kage installed them, and Joe did the stucco work. Everyone was always on-time and professional. So far everything looks immaculate and quality. For any other buyers out there replacing old metal windows with vinyl, I would HIGHLY recommend you pay extra to get the flush frame with the stucco work. We paid extra for this on 1 of our windows, but not the other. You can clearly see from the pics the difference it made in frame width both inside and out. If we ever have to replace more windows we're def going w/ the flush/stucco method since that mimics our old metal windows almost perfectly. read more

Did you ever hire anyone, and in the middle of the job you think you made the wrong decision, that's how i felt with this company. I purchased 10 windows, wanted 3 installed without trim, nobody in the crew said that i couldn't have them that way, no option. Came outside after job completion to discover the 3 windows were not like i wanted, crew tells me boss said not to do it that way. Well nobody informed me, the homeowner. Also 1 glass panel was scratched, so they ordered me a new one, was told 2 weeks or so. Called after 4 weeks was told it's the factory, can't give you a date, pathetic. It's when issues emerge that a company's true integrity and customer service (or lack thereof) become apparent. Fast forward 5 MONTHS and this job is still not complete. We wanted our windows replaced before summer hit so we had an in-home estimate on March 8th, 2021. The written estimate of completion of installation of all windows was 6-8 weeks, perfect timing. 8 weeks blew by with no call and finally we got to schedule for June 7th, however instead of the whole house at once they said only be part of the windows that are ready. We would not receive the entire front of the house which is the main reason we were replacing windows due to direct sunlight and one of those windows was a priority due to prior incorrect installation. Nearing double their written estimate of completion and in the full summer heat we called again asking for the status of the completion of our installation We voiced our disappointment about the delay and the impact on our electric bill and Diane on the phone continued to point out that 6-8 weeks was just an estimate. Eventually she said she would relay our concerns to the owner (clearly to get us off her back to end the call). We never heard back. July 9th we get a call that our windows are ready for install so we schedule ASAP for July 21. The evening before on July 20th at 4pm we get a call from a man who works for the builder of the actual windows explaining that two of the windows are still not ready and there will be no installation the next morning. We never received any communication about the schedule change from Affordable. July 29th the installers come to complete the job but before leaving notify us that two of the windows will need to be replaced because the film was installed incorrectly when the window was made. Furthermore, WE realize another of the windows they installed in the front is missing the grid. While the installers were at our house one of them said "You know the stucco guys are coming tomorrow at 8am, right?" Sure didn't! The stucco employee arrived to our house and rang the bell at 7:20am the next morning apologizing that he was told about the job last minute and didn't have our number to call about his arrival. Wish I could say I was surprised by another lack of communication. Here's where things REALLY turn south. We tried to voice our disappointment to the vice president Bill and only got "that's a shame" so next we speak to the owner. He says there was a perfect storm with this job. He insists that Jamie apologized to us and that he hears her apologize all the time (so they regularly make this many mistakes?) and mentions "recordings" as if to prove this. If he means voicemails we have none with apologies but it sounds as though they record phone conversations without the customer consent. He also attempted to deflect our issue with the poor communication with the installation being rescheduled last minute and not being told of the stucco install, demonstrating a complete lack of respect for his customers and their time. He insisted that he communicated the stucco install: in reality he mentioned that they would need to do stucco work when he was at our home measuring for a second time on APRIL 6th. No, I don't consider that scheduling with the homeowner when it ended up being JULY 30th. In regards to the mistakes of sashes and the window not having the grid he again deflected saying "you expect perfection." No, we expect accuracy when you've been sitting on this job for 5 months and this costs us a small fortune. We had their checklist in hand with window measurements and which windows had a grid from the contract. He said he doesn't check the checklist, "no one does." and that "you just want to yell." This company refused to take any responsibility for delays, lack of communication, poor customer service, and mistakes on the product itself. Integrity and quality customer service mean acknowledging issues, taking responsibility for mistakes, showing respect to your customer's time, and ensuring your customer receives a quality product with a quality experience. The company instead deflected issues and readily admitted to mediocrity in its product. I understand a pandemic presents challenges in supplies but we scheduled a YEAR into the pandemic: if 6-8 weeks was impossible they should have been up front with that back in March. If your meal at a restaurant takes too long or is delivered inaccurately the restaurant would do something to make it right- comp the meal, send a new one, offer a gift card to return, SOMETHING. Blaming the supplier isn't going to cut it. Take responsibility and make things right. Credit us for our increased SRP bills, discount windows that were incorrect, SOMETHING. Later that evening we received an email from Jeff apologizing for the phone call and the issues we experienced. Unfortunately the damage was done and it was likely only to save face. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere! read more

We just got my second set of energy efficient windows from Affordable Windows of Arizona. We like them that much. It's a big investment and we shopped around. We got the best price and value for five windows and an 8' x 8' sliding Arcadia doors. Our sales expert Jason had us sold on an option for French door style for our Arcadia doors and we also opted for a clean wide open view with a picture window in a dining area which we love. The larger frames are a big upgrade from our original contractor grade windows and door. Dan and Kage installed cleanly, as if they were never here. My experience with Affordable Windows occurred right after getting a new roof. After having workers hanging out on my roof for two weeks and littering my yard with trash, I was not looking forward to the window installation. But I have to give the boys who did the installation some major props because they were the complete opposite of the roofers. They were punctual, worked really hard (didn't even take a lunch), carefully covered anything that had potential to get dirty, and anything that was moved was put returned to its exact location. When they left, my house was in the exact same condition as when they had arrived (I wish I could say the same thing about my roof, which weeks later, is still getting fixed). The windows look great, the entire process was seamless, and their quote was the lowest (cute story, the sales person was competing against the other lowest bidder, who just happened to be his uncle who worked at another company). I'm sure based on reviews they have a great product, but their sales representative was about a half hour late and refused to do business with my wife unless I was home as well. Their company policy is that they will only work with a customer if both members of the household are present. Not everyone will be in our situation, but requiring both homeowners to be present in the daytime on a weekday is a pretty unrealistic request for us. We were supposed to have 3 windows replaced. We got a quote on 4 and they ended up ordering the wrong window for the third. They wouldn't work with me to cancel the order for the window they ordered incorrectly so I had to buy it and then order the other window. They estimated 8-9 weeks on 3/9 and they didnt get the order until 6/9. They came with the window and it doesn't even fit. So now we will be out another 3 months. With all of the extra money I spent on the window I didn't even want and now all the extra time and inconvenience with it being summer and we have a 60 year old window for the hottest months of the year, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Ok, I gave them three stars. I like my doors. I went with them after spending a fortune on Anderson last time. I still had two more sliders to replace after that. The only complaints I have are minor. I think communication could be improved on many ends. I won't be specific, but there were a few instances were a simple text or even a voice message would of been appreciated. I loved the two men who installed my doors. They were hard working and decent people. The lady that answered my phone calls all the time was great! I went to there office and the people running the office were so sweet and nice! I didnt realize i could of just called and make an appointment for them to come out to my house. Even though I showed up unannounced they treated me like I was! They showed me there windows and a patio door that was installed in there office.
