I had my windshield replaced by Done Right today (4/28/2026). When I picked it up I noticed a 1 1/2…read moreinch scratch on the "a pillar". The scratch was all the way down to bare metal. I showed an employee the issue and he took pictures of the damage. A few minutes after I left the business I received a phone call from them. I was told there was no way they caused the damage. They offered to let me come watch a video of the installation, but I declined. The scratch was obviously done with a sharp instrument and wasn't there before they replaced the windshield. In January 2025 I took my wife's SUV to them to replace the windshield. When picking it up, my wife noticed a big chunk missing from the door panel near the a pillar and a nick on the a pillar, both obviously caused by a sharp instrument. They did have me bring the vehicle back to them to repair the door panel damage. Since they won't take responsibility for the damage they caused today, I'm having to file another claim with my insurance company. I bought the vehicle new and have never had the windshield replaced. I wouldn't recommend using this company.

I asked what the difference is and he said only the stamp in the corner. I chose the after market because he said "I'd be very happy with it." Immediately after he replaced my windshield, I got an alert saying that my forward camera needed to be recalibrated. I messaged him asking about it and he said he didn't unplug my camera, etc. and then offered no support. The dealership said it would be $300 to recalibrate which I couldn't afford at the time. Well, I finally brought my car in because I can't get my annual safety & emissions renewal without the recalibration and they said that it's not the camera, it's the windshield itself. It's not compatible with my car's cameras because of some special gel that's required in the glass that acts as a filter. Therefore, I need to replace the ENTIRE windshield again plus the recalibration which will cost $1500!! All because of this business's negligence and misguidance. I reached out and explained everything to them and they didn't even have the decency to respond. Filed a complaint with Yelp but because this business isn't a part of the Yelp Guarantee Program, there's nothing they can do. Plus I paid in cash so my bank can't assist. AVOID THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!! Edit: of course he responds after receiving a bad review, but only to insinuate it's my fault and calling me a procrastinator? Since I can't respond to a review reply, here's what I messaged him: Oh now you respond because you got a bad review? This has nothing to do with me having to wait because I couldn't afford to get the recalibration done. Mazda quoted my $275 for the recalibration itself but it has nothing to do with the camera. Even if they attempted to recalibrate, the glass is not compatible with these cameras, which you should have known. They said without the required gel and the clarity issues with this after market glass, it wouldn't be possible without a complete replacement with Mazda glass (whether I do it with them or third party). They even showed me on the glass you replaced how the gel was done improperly. So you can take your poor customer service and terrible work ethic and enjoy my rightfully bad review!

Blue star called me and gave me a quote for $360, he explained that most businesses use the camera recalibration as an excuse to up charge and that he wouldn't be disconnecting any wires when replacing my windshield. I was a bit skeptical at first, I was worried I would have to go get my camera recalibrated. (I have a 2022 Honda Accord). It's been 2 and a half weeks since I had it replaced and I've had no issues, camera still works just as good!
