I learned the windshield has advanced functions including sensors for lane control and collision avoidance and a camera that requires in-shop calibration. I confirmed separately the replacement windshield (Pilkington) is high quality and compares very favorably with the OEM windshield that would be much more expensive. They showed me the proof of this mix-up. They apologized for the inconvenience of my trip and offered to provide a more expensive cover at the same price as the less expensive cover I had originally wanted. Additionally, they said that if I didn't want the upgraded cover, they could install a cover that was currently in stock so I'd have one on my truck for my planned vacation. They said that once the original cover I wanted is delivered, they will come to my hometown in Brusly to replace the covers at no extra charge. They did whatever it took to make it right.

I want to make it clear that I was never told anything about a time window--I was given a specific time, and I adjusted my schedule and traveled accordingly. To put this into context, my father had made from old cypress and had put lots of hand made touches on it. In addition, my mother had created a beautiful leaded glass piece to go into the door. To say the least, I am very invested in this door. Capital Glass took exquisite care and a lot of time and care to assure that the door was not harmed and the plate glass which protects the leaded glass. I was told when he returned to office, he would contact me for another service call; I have not heard anything in several weeks. Horrible service, work not completed; but they were paid for the completed job. Should I call Safelite or State Farm? I have 6 vehicles that Safelite has serviced, one time or another. You would think I would get better service? Also, working for 2 Body Shops; I have sent/referred thousands of vehicles to be repaired... Very Disappointed!!
