Richard communicated promptly regarding my bathroom project for a custom glass shower install and a custom mirror. He initially rejected my mirror ask to frame 2 medicine cabinets and 2 light fixture cutouts, saying that a mirror with 4 cutouts would compromise the safety of his installers. Honorable. I came back again with the request for a mirror in the shape of a "T" to line up with the the sides of the medicine cabinets. He agrees. 1.8k for the shower, 1k for the mirror. Glass Source installed custom shower glass doors and "T" mirror. The shower glass was solid. However, the cutouts for the "T" mirror were slightly misaligned and larger than the cutout. It's small but this was concerning being a 1k job. The installers said that if the base of my light fixtures do not cover the hole, they will come back and make it right. They asked for payment for both jobs. I was wary but paid in full. I requested he jot down what he said on my receipt. The installer said he didn't need to do that because Rich keeps his word, but he wrote down "the mirror will be replaced at no additional charge if the light fixtures do not cover the holes" anyway. The hole cutouts were too large by 1/4". I reached out to Rich. He responded and came back out to view the first job. I also requested the mirror height include an additional 9.5" and to let me know if there's an added cost for more mirror. It's $40. A week later, Rich and team uninstalls the first mirror and installs the new one. It's excellent; and no extra charges for replacement except my add-on. I hand Rich $40 cash. He shakes his head and says- give it to my guys as a tip. Prior to working with Glass Source, I contacted 3 other glass vendors for bids. I recently had a problem with the shower (a fluke issue) and called Rich on a Saturday...he answered and immediately set up an appointment for me for Monday. After a long Master Bath and Bedroom remodel we got to the final stage of enclosing the shower with a frameless glass door enclosure. Excited to actually use our new shower I called a few places to get an estimate. During the planning process I had gotten some rough estimates but our tile setter referred me to a guy who referred Richard at Glass Source. I called and he was able to come out later the same day to give me an estimate. Richard and his helper came in like pros with their long levels and measuring tape. Richard asked what I was looking for and told me the pros and cons and measured and dictated the measurements to his assistant and he said he could give me an estimate right then or write something up and get to me the next day. I opted for the later and he texted the next day as promised. First impressions are important and I was hoping his quote would come in good because I liked these guys already! They knew what they were doing, they were no nonsense and weren't trying to give me something different (I know that sounds obvious but I did have that happen). Well the quote was great and they even included the coating on the glass for no extra charge. Some places charge extra or don't even mention one. The install time was one week to the day and install went smooth. They were on time and got the job done and left the shower looking beautiful. There was a tiny flaw in the plastic door stop and Richard said he would order another one and drop it off when he got the chance. Might not have been noticed but that's the something special you want in someone your working with. These doors aren't cheap so I appreciate him wanting everything to be perfect for me. When he came to drop off the piece I mentioned there was one small part (hard to get to area) by back of sink that was letting a bit of water out if water sprayed on it directly he was in there with his silicone and fixed it up in just a few minutes!! I remodeled my shower stall and had to replace the glass shower door around it. I got a frameless type of door with bronze door trim (shower head fixture not included). $1000 out the door. As expensive as this sounds, it's still cheaper than two other quotes I got in Sacramento. It was all done in about half a day, straight install, no demolishing of the old. I asked for water repellent treatment so be sure to ask for that. It reduces water spots, but squeegee your glass after every use is still recommend! Rich, the owner, was knowledgeable and professional. I was able to schedule a quote within a week, got my door ordered and installed within 2 weeks. He arrived on time and finished within the estimated time. It's only been a few months since the installation, but so far so good. I have no doubt that IF I was to encounter any problems, he would take care of it without hesitation. read more

We did a complete remodel of our master bath and the glass shower door enclosure was our last piece that needed to be done. We initially got a quote from Home Depot. That was a nightmare to even get someone to call us back. Two weeks later, their contractor came up with a quote that was just ridiculous so I started looking online for other contractors. Found Glass Source on Home Advisor website and they had great reviews on there so I submitted my request for a quote. Not even 5 minutes later, I received a call from Rich. He was very professional, asked some questions then had me text him a picture of what our shower looked like and he was able to give me a quote right back. He then came out to our house the very next day to do some measurements. We talked again that night so he could go over our options and we agreed on what we wanted and on the price (which was almost half of what Home Depot's contractor wanted to charge). Rich got everything ordered for us on a Monday and in just 4 days time, he was out to install all of the glass for us and it looks awesome. It's very rare to get a responsive and reliable contractor. Rich from Glass Source was the complete opposite of what I've usually dealt with in the past with contractors. We had Glass Source install a new shower door a year ago when we did a master bath remodel. Rich explained to me not to use windex to clean the doors on the inside because they add a sealant that protects the glass. The sealant recently started to come off at the bottom and he came out right away and resealed it free of charge. He explained that I shouldn't use a squeegee but a microfiber cloth to dry it.
