He said if I took it in myself it would be faster and less costly. He put into my car and I did as he suggested. The repair took a few days(3) and was installed as scheduled. If ALL Remolding/Construction contractors had a fraction of the integrity, professionalism, skill, and business ethics as AtlasShoweDoorCompany (Sacramento, CA), we would have utopia. I contracted with another Sacramento Company for a bathroom shower remodel. They said they could save me some money by having me purchase the "DOOR" directly from their supplier. They said they would give me names of two companies they worked with. It took over six tries to get this information, finally I was given the contact information. Serendipitously, I selected Atlas. When I call, Sebrina answered the phone and was able to provide all the information I needed. After trying to get some information Sebrina needed from the primary contractor, I was able to schedule an appointment for a representative (Dave) of Atlas to come and make the necessary measurement so I could place my order. Unfortunately, the primary had not completed their work and could not give me a time when they would be ready; therefore, Dave would have to make another trip. After some time passed, the primary completed their wok, and I placed a call directly to Dave on the day they finished. Again, unfortunately, he was completely booked and could not arrive for another seven calendar-days. We made and appointment, and he arrived exactly on time as he had the first time. He spent over an hour measuring, checking, and rechecking. He said that it would take two weeks to get the glass built, sent to his location and examined for quality. We scheduled for installation on a Monday. On a day or two before, before that scheduled installation, I received a telephone call asking if they could come that Friday morning, first thing, to do the installation, to which I replied yes. On the Thursday afternoon at about 4:00 PM, I found out there was another problem with the primary contractor, and I needed to change the color of the hardware on the glass. I called Atlas hoping to talk with someone. The person I talked with said, he believed that would possible. He called back on that Friday morning at about 8:00 AM and said it could be done. The two installers showed up on time that Friday morning and were end-and-out in about two hours leaving a perfect job performed exactly to my specification. All the people involved are employees of Atlas. They do not use subcontractors. Atlas inventories common parts. This is why they can make last minute changes. Would not recommend Atlas; disappointed Won't stand behind their work/product. Door install approx 2.5 years ago. Within months mold growing below door, along plastic strip. Despite regular drying efforts and cleaning (only 2 adults in house) It appears door not sealed properly. Atlas will not look at it or fix. We are paying another company to completely redo. We are so happy we found this company. We bought a house with the 70s gold accents and the shower was an eyesore. We originally got pricing from another local shower door company. We did all all the work for them. We measured, uploaded photos, etc. They emailed us pricing. We told them / asked that we wanted to go ahead with the job and they never responded. My bathroom is very tiny, and I wanted do upgrade the shower with a new bypass sliding door. The size I need is extremely hard to find at retail. Since the current door is an Atlas Shower Door, I called them and had an excellent experience. The guy who came to the house to do the free estimate arrived on time and was very knowledgeable about the options I was hoping for. He was also totally honest about what would work in my tiny space and made a practical proposal at a really decent price with no pressure whatsoever to make a purchase. Turns out, my situation calls for pretty much the same door as I have. So I decided to clean and polish the existing door and update the door handles, which are also a non-standard size. I took the old door handles to Atlas Shower Doors showroom and in less than 15 minutes, they made me custom door handles that are a huge improvement over the old ones. Even though I was no longer in the market for new doors, their showroom featured stylish, high quality glass doors in numerous configurations. This company isn't perfect, but without doubt, it is the best of the suppliers/installers of shower screens and doors in this Region; possibly the best in the building industry, if best is measured in terms of product range, quality, reliability and value in the supply and fitting of shower screens and doors. Mine was a simple supply and fit - they gave me a quote (the best I could get) over the phone. They then measured, arriving within a couple of hours when they said they'd arrive. Installation took and hour and they again arrived within a couple of hours of when they said they would. And their pricing is the most competitive I could find. The result is first class. My contractor, Diego Moreno of BC Constructions, Woodland, who is the best I could find in the Region after a year of looking, recommended them to me. He was right - you won't find better. Although I moved my furniture away from the closet are, Malcolm went above and beyond by helping me move a heavy piece of furniture that was too close to his work space. Had 2 shower doors put it a few years ago. The one in the main bath looks great, but the little plastic strip deteriorated after a year and cost me $40 to replace. I definitely chose the wrong company to replace my shower door! The installers came and installed the door. I checked out their work, and thought all was well, so they left. What I didn't notice was that they left their garbage all over my bathroom. They also scratched my beautiful wood floors with the old shower door. Where they placed the door, they laid a rag on one side, but the rag on the right side completely missed the door and left another scratch. But the worst thing of all: when I took my first shower with the new doors, I noticed something shiny on the shower floor. Unwittingly, I bent down to pick it up, thinking I may have broken a piece of jewelry. Imagine my shock when my finger started bleeding profusely! The workers had left the sharp end of their razor cutter on my shower floor, and it embedded in my finger! I am a disabled senior with immune issues, and my finger became inflamed and swollen. I called Atlas Shower Door and spoke with as my infected finger dripped blood. I took a picture of my finger and the razor piece. I was so scared, as that razor was rusty and filthy. I spoke with Fred Ferri, the CFO (he said) of the company. He told me he'd pay my $20 copay while I sit in urgent care all day. Are you kidding me?! I soaked my finger for several days, and the inflammation finally stopped, but I'm still terrified of what I may have gotten from that filthy razor edge. Later, to add insult to literal injury, Fred sent me an email to say, "I hope that by now your finger has healed," and to let me know that his company would no longer allow customers to keep their old shower doors inside the home. Wow! Talk about blaming the victim! It wasn't my fault that his workers dragged the old shower door along my expensive wood floor, and whether they took it outside or left it in my house, I don't see what difference that would have made. I told him that repaying me $20 for having to sit in the hospital all day was an absurd offer. He said that was all he could do. He added that I could send him pictures of the scraped floor to prove his workers had damaged my custom floors. I tried to, but it was very difficult for me to find an angle at just the right time of day where the scratches would show up on my phone, so that went nowhere. Wow. I definitely made the wrong decision in using this company. Worst company ever! Apparently, they have enough business to where they don't care about their customers once the work has been done and the (very expensive) bill has been paid! read more

Many thanks to Atlas. A Thanksgiving guest broke the towel rack on a shower enclosure they installed back in 2001. I tried several hardware stores for the broken part, with no luck, then realized I should go to Atlas. The saleswoman sold me a replacement kit for the hardware ($15), then helped me open the packet and understand the various parts. She then took me over to a similar enclosure, on display, and walked me through how to do the repair. The two custom-made enclosures they made for us in 2001 have held up perfectly. But how nice to also find out that, when there is a problem, they keep parts in stock and go the extra mile to help you out. read more

All I can say is that things have changed. Our last couple experiences there have been less than stellar. I won't say more, just that we felt we were not welcome by the front desk after having their doors for 30 years. The end result is we went home from their location and reinstalled the enclosure we took off - the reason being how we felt we were treated rather than their price.
