We enjoyed a wine tasting here and dinner for my birthday. We currently have our sons rehearsal dinner planned here. The owners of this establishment have been very professional, accommodating, and extremely communicative. Our dinner here for my birthday was some of the best service and food we've had in quite some time. I'm very excited to host a dinner for between 20 and 25 people in their "the other half "venue for his wedding. I'll post another review after that event and let you know how everything pans out, but thus far all of my interactions, communication, dinner, and otherwise have been exactly what I would expect for this type of venue.

If you are looking for the perfect spot to have a glass of wine or cocktail and an appetizer then look no further than Glass half Full. My husband and daughter loved their cocktails while I enjoyed an Italian wine flight. We enjoyed a delicious cheese board and they provided both regular and gf crackers. We had the delicious hummus, beet salad, and fries, too. Make this your next stop for a drink and appetizer.

Went recently for lunch. Loved the shrimp PoBoy. Homemade bun, great tasting shrimp with remoulade to make it pop. As usual a laid back vibe for a relaxing meal.

Okay you guys. We have now eaten here twice. Once in the spring and then more recently when we moved our daughter in for her sophomore year at UNC. This restaurant is tucked away on a side street so that you will miss it if you're not careful. That would be a tragedy. The atmosphere is delightfully cozy and the service is second to none. We sat outdoors both visits, but the indoor seating is super nice as well. Also unique is that this is a no tip required restaurant. They pay their staff a living wage, so you do have an option to pay a tip on your check but I believe 7 - 9% is the highest you can leave. On to the good stuff....at our last visit, we ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon Wontons. The only problem I had with these is there weren't enough!! OMG they were so good! For our entrees, we ordered the Hangar Steak, the Red Drum, and the Crab Cake. All three were absolutely amazing and beautifully plated! Our server was Lydia and she was incredible. So personable and very attentive and prompt. We also ordered two desserts...the creme brulee and then some sort of chocolate thing (I can't for the life of me remember the name of it). Suffice to say that they were both divine and not a morsel remained of either!! This will be a fave of ours in the Carrboro area going forward. I believe their menu changes frequently so I will be looking forward to fall dishes! Do yourself a favor and give them a try!

Decided to check out Glasshalfull after hearing about it on social media. It is a cool and chill spot sporting tons of tables, a wrap around bar, and a massive wine selection. I checked out their menu ahead of time and decided to go for their mini burgers that had bacon and truffle aoili. It was just the right amount of food! I ate just one, but I will be devouring the other in like an hour as I am a grazer! To drink I got a bottle of their cremant rose. Nice hint of strawberries, peaches, and rose. It was very yummy and actually paired really well the burgers. Normally I do not get a bottle of wine just for me at a restaurant, but they were half off today and I decided to go for it! Such a great recommendation by the waitress. I love that they are able to recork the bottle, so you can take it home. Therefore there is no pressure to finish it! Around it are several other local businesses to check out. Carrboro's downtown very much reminds me of Pittsboro as it is very quaint and cute. Definitely would come back as it is very chill and has such great vibes!

The place is quite small, with about five tables, and maybe 12 seats at the bar. We sat at the bar as we only wanted drinks and snack. Christian, the bartender, greeted us right away and brought food and drink menus. He explained the specials and took our drink orders. My companion found an interesting Greek white wine, and I asked for a boulevardier, my go-to cocktail for a new place. The wine was to her liking, and the cocktail was about the best example I've had in recent memory. Christian used Woodford Reserve bourbon and Campari rather than Aperol so it had a slightly less bitter taste and was a lovely auburn color. The food menu was very interesting, with lots of items we've never tried. We ordered caesar salad with anchovies, green beans in garlic-soup sauce, panella (a chick-pea and cream cheese dish), and seasoned French fries. It was all yummy and delivered together. The service we got really couldn't have been much better: attentive without hovering. The food and drink quality was outstanding, and we thought the prices were very reasonable for what we got. In short, thanks Christian, and we'll be back.

Wish it was a traditional Swiss Raclette where the cheese is melted on top of a half wheel then scraped off. But this was a French Raclette according to the menu which had thick slices of cows milk melted over halved fingerling potatoes ( under the cheese in the picture ) with sides of good sliced baguette, salami and more small cornichons than I've had at one time in my life. Everyone else in the dinner party that had not eaten the muscles was fine. The service staff was over-extended. We had to ask the busing staff to get our waiter so that we could order and later in the meal to refresh our beverages. And finally, our dinner party was seated in the very furtherest back room that features an exit door with a large lit up exit sign over it. The room was not really fit to seat people at that price point. There are no sound buffers in the back room. It is akin to a large storage area with artwork on the wallks. There was no way to hear anyone talking at the table due to the roar of the sound bouncing off the walls. The room should not be used for seating at Tandem's price point.
