I recently needed to replace a small window in my garage door after my son accidentally threw a baseball through it. I first contacted a local garage door company and was quoted over $400 just to replace the glass. I decided to call GlassMan instead. I gave them the somewhat odd dimensions of the glass panel, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They walked me through a few things to check and gave me great advice on the replacement. Even better, they charged me less than $20 for the piece of glass and had it cut and ready in about 12 hours. When I got home and tried to install it, I realized I had mis-measured. I brought the glass back to GlassMan, and they re-cut it for me at no additional charge. Contacted them for two new glass installs because I had two stress cracks from putting up blackout screens on my windows. They came and measured quickly. Today was day of install and not only were the techs nice but quick and shut my fence before leaving. (If you have dogs you know it's a big deal) Lillie was extremely helpful and I appreciate her being able to email me due to my work schedule to set up times etc. it was also much cheaper than I expected especially because competitors only would replace the entire window which was 1000's of dollars. We are very happy with these guys. They installed shower doors in our master bathroom remodel. We chose them because we heard good things about these guys from our neighbors, the quoted cost was several hundred dollars lower than another bid we received, and with glassman the hydroshield treatment was already included but the other company quoted that as an add-on for another $500. They kept all appointments as expected, and called when they had to move the scheduled measuring appt back by half an hour. Only reason this is 4 star review instead of 5 is there were a couple times I had to call and ask for an update on where we were, but each time I called they did get back to me and we stayed on track. I have no issues calling the contractor to ask for an update, so it wasn't a problem for me. I will definitely use them again when I need glass done. read more

I had skylights from when our house was built which had failed. I called almost every single company to come replace. Meridian Glass came out and measured and I had to call them 7 times to get a quote after, which lined up with all their reviews online. I called liberty glass, they advised me to just get up on my roof and do it myself..... okay? I called Seattle skylight, the girl on the phone couldn't even tell me what brand skylight they used when installing. My friend recommended i use Glassman. They were prompt in getting someone out to measure & quote me. They also Quoted me 2 weeks until an install could happen with ordering time. Well 7 days later i get a call after making the order with them that they got the skylights in and wanted to have someone come out the next day to install them! :) The installers were friendly and very informative. They took the time to show me what had gone wrong with the previous skylights, and answered any questions i had for them. Very sad. Went to this business before Christmas 2020 to request a quote for replacing my sliding back door. Apparently the project is not large enough. I called a week later when I had not heard from them to schedule an appointment. The lady had a variety of excuses for not contacting me, in that there wasn't enough time, she didn't receive the info, etc. Its been WEEKS now, and I still haven't heard from them. Horrible service. I pre-ordered a piece of glass and made a ridiculous effort to pick it up after an appointment. When I got it home, it was several inches too long and the wrong thickness. I also cut myself while unwrapping it as the edges had been left sharp. When I called I was repeatedly put on hold by a rude woman who told me I must have "gotten the wrong glass." I didn't "get" the wrong glass. She sold me the wrong glass after handing it to me over the counter. I couldn't return it, because they are only open while I'm at work. Never again, Glassman. I had three jobs done by the Glassman. Two things were ok. The third was a window and terrible. I tried to get Bob Waring the owner to come and look at it and make it right. He was terrible he wouldn't come out to check the window. Terrible customer service or lack of it. He said he was to busy to take care of us. "Over promises" and under delivers. Our landlord replaced all of the home's windows with Glassman just after we moved in. I don't know what she paid, but I can tell you it was too much. At first, we were pleased with the installers. While they were here, they were prompt, courteous, professional, etc. The windows were installed in Jan '09. A couple of months later, we noticed a tiny crack in the upper corner of one window; it had been covered by the blinds previously. I went round and round with Glassman to get someone out to look at the crack. When someone finally came by, I was told it was a pressure crack and not terribly uncommon but that they wouldn't be fixing it as their warranty was expired after 30 days. Now, three years later, 3 of the 9 windows they installed are damaged. Besides the broken one they refused to replace, there's two windows that don't slide properly. I called to request a quote to replace a broken bathroom window. Was told that "someone from scheduling will call to arrange an inspection and measurement." Three days later I get a voicemail that said "I've got a quote to replace your window, give us a call and we'll go over it". Funny thing is, they never came out to measure or inspect. We tried twice to get information about replacing a shower door. It was Hard to get an estimate- the estimator was late and no phone call. I had to follow up with calls 3 times to get a date for the install one it was ordered- and the calls were not met with a friendly reception- I felt we were inconveniencing them? The actual installer was very nice and did a great job but the wrong handle was ordered. Our initial correspondence via email went smoothly and we believed we were on our way to a positive experience getting our in-glass pet door installed. However, the costumer service quickly took a turn for the worse. We spent weeks trying to get the initial measuring scheduled. They'd tell us they'd call right back, only to go days without calling. After I'd email them they'd finally call back, schedule something, and cancel it hours before it was supposed to take place. Then it was back to waiting for a callback, which again was days late. After almost 3 weeks of back and forth, we finally took our business elsewhere and had someone out from another company that same day. It was clear that Glassman did not value our business at all, and if they would have been transparent from the start and told us they were 3-4 weeks away from even measuring our glass I would have appreciated the honesty, but there was none of that. I asked for a bid on reglazing two windows from the Glassman. It turned out that their bid was 35% cheaper than anyone else's and they were prompt getting the windows installed. It turned out one window was scratched; they mad me aware of it and will replace that window in a couple of days. I will be using their services again for other windows. read more

Sometimes one must go with a company that does one specialty correct..if a shower door enclosure is what your looking for then these guys have got it down. Estimate and installation was a breeze, installer was professional...when you spend 20K on a new bathroom , everything needs to be spot on, our 2 piece door looks great! For home window repair and new window installation I would do my homework a little better and go with a company that does just that service only...Just a thought...Otherwise, great company to use!! read more

All I can say good about doing business with The Glassman is the young man (the boss' son) did a good job installing the 2 windows. He was polite and asked if everything looked good. GROSSLY overcharged on install and transportation charges. Office staff(Nansi) is incompetent. Couldn't give me a straight answer about anything. She gave me differenet amounts and didn't know what tax to charge. Then, she only gave me a quote for one window instead of 2. Can't she read? This was after Bob had come out to measure. I don't think she cared if she helped me or not. I called to state my upset about being charged 366.00 to install 2 windows that took less than a half hour to install., Bob the owner first spoke to me as if I were a child and then got angry and argumentative. After asking what my husband did for a living, he said"oh he makes plenty of money", and "his company makes plenty of money." Is this a reason to rip me off? My husband works in a totally different industry, no comparison to installing glass. In any case it was inappropriate for him to say these things to me. I should not have hired them and never will again. I should have found the receipt to the last glass place we used in Kent. I could not remember the name of the place, but they did a good job for a reasonable price. Bob at the Glassman can charge what he likes, but he won't ever get my business again.
