Super generous about their lobster! - First time, I've never had the Po Boy (andouille - slightly spiced) but it was good and oily though. Fries were bomb! - Chairman's pork belly bun was delicious, a wee bit on the greasy side - Ice cream flavors we had were Ube - Purple Yam, Old School Vanilla, and The 408 - Caramel Ice Cream with Oreos and Fudge. I loved my "The 408" so yummylicious! - Always a great way to spend time with your friends and family.

Moveable Feast is awesome for those who have never really experienced a food truck night. What I…read morelove about it is that you don't have to chase down local food trucks by checking out their Twitter or Facebook updates to know where they'll be parked. And on top of that you get to experience a whole bunch of awesome Bay Area food trucks all in one spot. Moveable Feast on Friday nights in Willow Glen is a great foodie date night for sure. The bf and I have been here twice now (first time was still during my jaw surgery recovery phase where I was unable to chew, so it wasn't as exciting for me then). This last time we went we noticed that the most popular trucks were Sam's Chowdermobile, Grilled Cheese Bandits and Hill Country BBQ. The lines for those 3 were endless. But we did get to try come mashed tater balls and a delicious italian style grilled cheese sammich from Grilled Cheese Bandits about an hour before Moveable Feast was closing. And the bf got the very last link dog over at Hill Country BBQ, which he said was better than the Miso Dog he had over at Oh Miso Hungry truck. Let me list out what we had at the few trucks we chose to order from. Oh Miso Hungry Kimchi grilled cheese was actually not as good as it sounds. The kimchi was definitely delicious but it didn't taste right being super warm in between those pieces of Texas toast. And the Miso Dog the bf had, he liked but didn't love. MoGo BBQ Kalbi and bulgogi tacos. I liked the meat, tasted good. Not a fan of the corn tortillas they used. Barefoot Coffee The bf ordered a small coffee on drip to swing over to Treatbot Ice Cream since the guy over there told us the ice cream tastes bomb with that coffee. I had a sip of that coffee, holy shizz it was strong! Treatbot We had a scoop of horchata and a scoop of chocolate ice cream to go into the coffee. This is the second time I've had their horchata ice cream and I'm a HUGE fan for sure. Hill Country BBQ They ran out of most of their food about an hour before closing time. I liked the sauces they had out and pretty curious about the Porkolicious sauce. Looked interested! Next time, I'll be sure to try some of that pulled pork that was oh-so-popular. Grilled Cheese Bandit We ordered the small order of mashed tater balls which were okay but a bit too salty for us. Their Giuliano sandwich sure was bomb though! It came with mozzarella, parmesan and tomatoes with pesto on this amazingly soft Italian batard bread. Hands down, best thing I ate that night. I'm still very curious about what Sam's Chowdermobile has to offer but that damn line never let up! It was also extremely chilly that night, what the F happened to summer weather San Jose? But yeah, next time we'll definitely have to just stick it out and stand in line for some chowder. I would rate Moveable Feast 5 stars if they included better dessert trucks than just Fairycakes (cupcakes, which I'm not a fan of) and ice cream and candy. I want some PIES or something a bit more dense for dessert peeps!

Moveable Feast just launched a new site tonight on Capital Expressway in San Jose. I arrived around…read more5:45 and there were six trucks parked there: Fairycakes, Road Dogs, Treatbot, Rib Whip, Blastoff!, and Grilled Cheese Bandits. These trucks are pretty much the same ones we see at the Willow Glen Moveable Feast on Fridays, but the best part tonight was that there were very few people there. Maybe it's because I was a little early and it wasn't the dinner rush yet. Or maybe not many people know about it just yet since this the first dinner launch at this site. Either way, I loved it! No lines! I ordered Kamikazi tots from Road Dogs and I loved the sauce and toppings covering the crispy tater tots. There were shredded seaweed, bacon bits, sauteed onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and crisscross drizzles of Japanese mayo, Sriracha, and teriyaki sauce. The different flavors made the tater tots stand out and taste amazing. A little pricy since it was $6 for a small tray, but still yummy. My cousin ordered a salted caramel cupcake from Fairycakes. I had a few bites and I thought that was delicious too. The cake part was moist and the perfect level of sweetness. The frosting was vanilla-y, definitely sweeter than the cake, and has a drizzle of caramel on top. I didn't quite taste the "salted" part, but delicious all the same. I'll definitely return to this site. Now, I have two places I can go to when I want food truck dinner: Willow Glen on Fridays and Capital on Saturdays.

They were wonderful to work with, from start to finish: very responsive to our initial inquiries, pricing was as expected, and the team showed up on time and was ready to serve food on time. While the food eventually arrived, the experience leading up to and during the event was fraught with unnecessary stress. Initial communication was great, but it trailed off as we got closer to the date. Despite their "quick response" phone number, my calls and texts went completely ignored. To make matters worse, the voicemail changed from a personal greeting to a generic one 72 hours before my event, leaving me terrified that we had been scammed. We increased our headcount from 65 to 75 a week prior. After being told this was fine, I was sent an incorrect invoice that ignored the new guest count and asked for a second $300 deposit I had already paid. It took multiple follow-up emails just to get a confirmation on the final numbers. On the day of, the staff arrived promptly and set up on time. However, only 30 minutes into service--with only 30 of our 75 guests fed--they completely ran out of cilantro, onions, and grilled peppers. When I followed up the next day, they claimed they prepared for "70 guests." Even if that were true, it wasn't the 75 we paid for, and it certainly doesn't explain running out of basic toppings after 30 people. I'm incredibly glad we didn't use them for our wedding last year as originally planned. It's disappointing when the service doesn't match the reputation. 2 stars for due prompt service and the guests that got all the food really enjoyed the steak & shrimp.

When went to the location where this truck is usually posted, but found out they were parked at a nearby church when we researched. Ordered one carne asada super nachos, one regular al pastor taco and one quesabirria. They have maybe about 5-6 different sauces. They are in sauce bottles in front so you would serve yourself. When went got our food, we opened the nachos and kind of tried each sauce there with a chip since they gave us 3 cups, assuming one sauce per item. Our favorite sauces were the orange and I believe, avocado. All sauces were pretty good though. The red was the spiciest, but it was salty - not sure if it was just a saltier batch that day? It was cold, so we didn't eat outside, we ate in the car. Would say our favorites were the nachos, taco and the quesabirria. Felt like the quesabirria didn't have much flavor. The nachos were probably one of the better nachos we've tried that used real cheese. Usually when we try nachos that use real cheese, they're all hard but these were good and every one of the toppings complimented each other well. Pretty good taco truck. Would go back to try other items.

I wanted just a snack while waiting for my kids at gymnastics. They accidentally gave me an extra taco. I told them and they said just enjoy. That's an extra star in my book! This is your typical taco truck. I didn't have cash but they took Apple Pay. Very nice! The tacos are cheap. Just $2.50/each. There's only 3 salsa options but they're all very good. Their cabeza is standard cheek meat. Tender and lightly seasoned. Probably could use a sprinkle of salt. My favorite is the orange sauce over my Al pastor. The sauce is very spicy, a bit tangy but teenie-bit sweet and somewhat smoky. This sauce blows away La Victoria's so called famous orange sauce. It was a warm day but my car is nice and cool. Although I can eat under their small covered seating area with hermanos and hermanas, I chose to eat in the comforts of my air conditioned car.

I overheard the 2 in front of me ordered sopés and I saw a few folks that were enjoying their meal were eating sopés so I knew I had to order it. I'm a birria girl so I ordered their quesabirria tacos (comes w/ 3 and consume). I ordered a chicken burrito for Gavin. Speed was such an impressive quality. Despite the number of folks that were waiting for their food, we received our order in less than 10 minutes. They receive credit cards / debit cards so that is a huge plus. I do not carry cash ever. Their green (mild) and orange (spicy) salsa was extremely delicious. The orange salsa is spicy. I loved that one the most. Though we walked home w/ our meal, I did not anticipate for my quesabirria tacos to be soggy. It took us 12 min. to get home - same amount of time (or faster) if I DoorDashed. I was quite disappointed, but other than that the birria itself tasted flavorful. The consume was light and brought out the best of the birria. It wasn't overwhelmed by the chipotle peppers, guajil chile, and ancho chile. I appreciate not leaving red residue on my fingers. Gavin's burrito was good, but it was packed more w/ rice and beans than chicken. The sopés looked messy because of the walk. The presentation is not their doing. The carne asada had bits of grissel that I couldn't and didn't want to attempt to chew. The carne asada was a tad over cooked. The fried masa was bomb though.. fresh vegetables (shredded lettuce and tomatoes). Will try them again. Maybe we came on a not so good day.

My partner ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos. The wait was about 30 minutes and it was cash only. There is no menu in regard to what items can be ordered but only a sign with the meat options. Average: * Carne Asada Tacos were okay. It's your typical Carne Asada but in my opinion, I found the meat to be a bit too dry for my liking. * Al Pastor Tacos were okay. I enjoyed the sliced of pineapple on the tacos but the meat wasn't as juicy and tender as people make it out to be. Maybe I was unlucky to receive more of the burnt end pieces so it was dry. Hits: * Grilled Onions as a topping added on the tacos is a definite must. Although it is just a topping ingredient, I do believe it makes the taco overall taste better and more enjoyable. Final Verdict: Solid 3/5. I enjoyed the grilled onions and cilantro on my tacos that are provided with the Al Pastor. The green sauce tastes pretty decent with the tacos too but it was a bit underwhelming, I think TikTok hyped it up too much but overall it is an okay spot.
