I have never once been disappointed with a dish, and I love trying new dishes on their menu. The staff is awesome, and the place has a cool astehtic vibe. I highly recommend, just know that it is a bit pricey but the experience is totally worth it. P.S. they give you palate cleaners snack in between courses for free. I had hibiscus herbal tea and and an adorable mini waffle cone, filled with crème fraîche, and topped with caviar (honestly never thought I'd like caviar before trying out this place for the first time).

We got: -the trio dip (all 3 dips were perfect but the bread was hard and overcooked it made it hard to appreciate the dips) -octopus (needs a citrus note, but no notes otherwise) -bone in pork chop (taste was there, but very dry) -patatas (crispy potatoes, perfectly cooked but was way too salty to taste) This place has so much potential and hope they quality check their dishes because this place can definitely be a hit. Unfortunately, each dish had something that took away for us and we ended up not being able to enjoy the dinner.

Both meats were juicy, flavorful, and tender but if I had to pick one it would hands down by the beef steak. One thing to note about the dining experience is that it was uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant. I went on a summer day when it was in the high 80s and the restaurant didn't have AC or a fan... it was a lot warmer inside the restaurant than it was outside. I felt so relieved when I stepped outside.

It did have a lot of sugar, but it was pretty similar flavor-wise to Indian chai (sans milk), so it paired very well with our order. We ordered the chicken suqaar and the beef wrap. We opted for the chapati (sabaayad in Somali) with the chicken suqaar, but would love to try their rice or their version of injera during our next visit! The menu at first glance looks kinda confusing since they have Lunch in big letters on one side with a ton of their dishes and Dinner on the other side with the remainder of the dishes, making it seem like a few items are available during this time... but the Lunch portion just states that it comes with a side of rice, pasta, chapati, or injera (which is the same as Dinner...) so kind of an interesting stylistic choice there, but this is to say that everything on the menu is available the whole time they're open. The meals were so flavorful- the chicken suqaar had a ton of onions, carrots, chicken, green-bean like veggie, and spices, and was served with a green sauce that had kind of a habanero or jalapeno taste to it. The beef wrap was huge and I only ate half of one for dinner- it was flavored so well and the beef was cooked perfectly. This came with a side of the green sauce and a white sauce. I'd love to return and try their injera with chicken, kay kay chicken, beef suqaar or beef steak, and their sambusas! I saw some on another diner's plate and it looked sizable and filling. Jubba is located right next to a VTA light rail and an apartment complex so there's decent foot traffic, but overall, a wonderful place to try and eat!

Everyone talked about how the food and service was amazing and every step of the way, they were extremely professional, personable, and reliable. It seems hard to find venders these days that are so caring and invested in the process. And the cherry on top is that they are an amazing family and seem like great people. I only explored the 3rd floor market area and didn't dine at the restaurant, but they have such a wide variety of wine, cheese, bread, pasta, chocolates, and ready-made food. The portions were also quite small for the price. The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert, it was delicious! Unfortunately, the serving was so small that we ended up ordering another one. The service was okay, but it felt slow at times. For example, our waiter took our drink order but didn't return for about 20 minutes to take our food order, which made the experience feel drawn out. The biggest reason I'm giving this review a lower rating is that there was a dog seated next to us. The restaurant had signs stating that dogs were not allowed, but the policy didn't appear to be enforced. Personally, I don't expect to be seated next to a dog when paying for an expensive meal, and it took away from the overall dining experience.

I made my way into 3 separate stores located in the mall and left empty handed each and every time. In comes Lolli and Pops.... Macarons and fancy chocolates are sitting in a glass case as you enter into the store. My toddler immediately requested for a macaron in which I obliged if she could promise to be patient as I did some browsing and shopping. Pick your battles folks, pick your battles. Lmao! This establishment specializes in all things sweet and delicious! The assortment of bulk sweets are plentiful and you are able to purchase as little or as much as you wish. Customize your treats how you see fit- whether your love involves chocolates, gummies, sour, sweet, jelly-filled, or even spicy- this is the spot for you. I appreciate Lolli and Pop having items you normally couldn't find at any random store. My word of advice: take your time to browse the countless items and don't be shy about asking for a sample. 5 solid stars for the young lady whom I recall was a supervisor or assistant mgr running the shift during my evening visit on 2/8. Thank you for answering my questions, being patient, and being such a positive vibe as a whole. 4 stars overall because there were a few questionable bins containing candies that should immediate go into the trash. These candies were clearly crusty, discolored, and abnormally hard. Other than that, my kid greatly enjoyed her macaron and the special recipient was WOW'D by her gift. Mission accomplished!
