I don't live in the area, but I used to go to school in Maspeth, and this place pre-dates my time there. Their rainbow cookies tasted just slightly better than ones you pick up at a supermarket- they even had those telltale chocolate sprinkles. If they hadn't been so fresh I would have sworn that's where they were from. read more

This has become my favorite place the staff is amazing always very pleasant. Everything is always fresh. The breakfast sandwiches and iced coffee are the best and their lunch specials are great as well. Usually a 10 minute wait maybe longer in the morning but it's completely worth it. read more

Maybe it's because I grew up in the neighborhood, but Glendale Bakery has a special place in my heart. Firstly, their pretzel rolls are the best. Perfectly crispy and salty, while nice and soft on the inside. Their regular rolls are delicious too. They don't make 'em like that out here on Staten Island. Their breakfast sandwiches are always spot on. Probably because of the rolls. Honestly, I don't know what it is about those rolls, but trust me- they are good. And of course, I have to shout out their chocolate cream pie, which makes an appearance at every family gathering. It's not a holiday without a chocolate cream pie from Glendale. read more

Omg service was slow when I stopped in the other day. They did have a long line but I think I waited 20 minutes to get my Irish soda bread ( it was good FYI) didn't try anything else but must be good if line was long. Will have to try more goodies next time. read more

The bagels and breads at Glendale are excellent which make the sandwiches tasty. Great iced coffee during the summer! The only down side, there is usually a wait in the mornings and the staff behind the counter aren't the fastest. read more

I love Glendale Bakery. Sure it's not the place to go when you are in a rush, but the staff is just amazing. I really LOVE LOVE LOVE their sandwiches - if I want something extra than what's listed, or to exchange one thing for another, it is never a problem, on top of it they are delicious! I actually like the slow pace, the smiles, the small talk. I always get some cookies to go to, as well as the mini cakes on special occasions. I am so upset with them...they over charged cakes on Christmas Day doubled the price ...for a chocolate sprinkle cake that was $8 now $14.95. That was not a merry gesture to do...after 8 years going to them...Never Again! read more

people who work there might be on a cranky side but this is not my point...food is decent but i cant eat it because the staff sneezes in their hand and than picks up my bagel. They also wear gloves but pick up money with the same hand and.....grab my bagel....gross. i tipped and throw my breakfast to the garbage. for gods sake....wake up people! read more

I always enjoy coming to this bakery . Not only are you always greeted by the staff. Most of the girls behind the counter have a friendly and welcoming smile, some don't , but hey we're all like that!!! Not only are the workers friendly and polite , they seem to have a full understanding of what needs to be done and in an efficient amount of time. The food is excellent, the sandwiches are on point. I give them props for remembering and juggling all of the orders at once. Only negative thing about this bakery is the occasional negative aura that is given off by the bakery's owner. As he sometimes comes out , you can tell how he can SOMETIMES be a little nasty to the employees . read more
