Even with coffee, they offer the huge cups and its the best for a long day at work. Their blueberry muffins are huge but not enough blueberries, maybe it was an unlucky one. They have sandwiches too and they have always been fresh and tastey. Great spot for sandwiches as they are pretty big and decent priced. The place always has a line during high times, so you can order online and pick up. Delivery can take pretty long as they use their own drivers and not through the food ordering apps. Ended up being the best bagel for me on my last trip to NY. Didn't look like anything special, but the absolutely fantastic chew on the bagels was so so satisfyingly good... Loved the Lox Package, with nice salty flavors. But just eating the simpler Everything bagel with the cucumber dill cream cheese was such a pleasure with the firm chews. Cream cheese are so smooth and the cucumber dill ended up being the best companion with the bagel. We're visiting NY and was looking for a place to meet up with friends and have good coffee and breakfast nearby. We found Baker's Dozen and of course parking was by paid meters. We managed to find parking, however, we got inside and discovered there was limited seating and small but their menu is pretty extensive and everything looks delicious!! The people serving are friendly and helpful and the line was long but it moved quickly. We managed to get 4 seats and was able to eat quickly. I got the Bagel with lox and avocado that was fully loaded and delicious. Everyone in my group loved what they ordered. If I have an opportunity to go back there I would love to try their other options. I recommend this place because their food is fresh, delicious and their huge selection. read more

I'm typically a fan of Baker's dozen, they have the best bagels in the area my opinion, but this in my sandwich is unacceptable. Second time, I get rotten avocado along with the (not to be consumed) end of the skin. It's not hard to see that it is clearly not green anymore, but whoever made this, didn't care. read more

Never have I ever had a better bagel in Nyc than at Bakers Dozen. They've got the boiler right behind the register so you know that stuff is as fresh as can be. Sometimes I go out of my way to grab a meal here - Instead of taking the LIRR to Manhattan from nearby Jamaica, I don't mind waiting for a train at Kew Gardens if it means I get to do it with an egg everything with cream cheese in my hand. I stayed with family in Kew Gardens for a week and had a bagel for breakfast here every single day. Seriously. It's THAT good. There is always a line, but it moves very fast and the staff are respectful as well as efficient. They called us "ma'am" or "sir", smiled and made eye contact while taking our order, and engaged in enjoyable banter with regulars. Behind the counter is their comprehensive menu (including customizable sandwich options), while beside it is a showcase of the morning's fresh baked goods. My favorite was the bright green pistachio muffin that looked like a mushroom ballooning out of its cupcake shell and tasted of that fragrant, artificial pistachio flavor. Prices are very reasonable, but know that if you order a mini bagel with extra toppings, you will be charged the same price as a regular-sized bagel. So unless you only want a butter or cream cheese shmear, go big!! I'm not sure what it is about the bagels here that tasted so good: the perfect mix of soft and chewy? The wholesome ingredients? Whatever it was, these bites made my morning. Even untoasted, the bagels were decadent, and the meats and veggies were cold and fresh. Last note about their homemade apple cinnamon cream cheese: absolute ~heaven~! The bagels and their  cream cheeses  are really  great. Recently I can't get the breakfast though, because the morning crew is extremely slow. No bagel is worth missing the train because of 25 minutes wait during  work week  It is almost  like they slow it down purposely. Lunch is fine though, things speed up. Holy smokes is this the spot. Now I'm not a bagel expert but I will say- this place makes a DAMN good bagel sandwich. Came here the other morning after a long evening and maybe went a little overboard but I'm glad I did. We ordered home fries, the lox bagel, a poppyseed with the lox cream cheese, and two everything bagels with eggs and added cheddar cheese, ham, sausage, and tomato. I will say it's not fancy, the cheddar cheese is more likely American, the home fries definitely needed a little salt but all together? A gift from god. Those sandwiches were so. Damn. Good. The lox cream cheese has actual large pieces of smoked salmon instead of the barely visible flakes you get from most places. The lox bagel was PILED with smoked salmon and their scallion cream cheese was pungent and delicious. Also for the price? Ya can't beat it. First time trying this place out; I ordered delivery on a Thursday morning. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bialy, a 32oz hazelnut iced coffee, and a side of homefries. They also included two mini muffins, cranberry and pistachio (my favorite!) with my order! The home fries were well cooked with good browning on them, and the BEC was hot and tasty!
