I recently suffered from a bulging disc at my L4 L5 that left me in crippling sciatic pain for 3 months. I couldn't stand straight, I was on endless medication, and was feeling hopeless that my only option would be surgery. I exhausted all my options...until I came to Dr. Andy. First off, I felt completely understood. I explained every detail, every moment that led to the injury. He was patient, kind, and incredibly empathetic. After we spoke of my MRI results, he assured me that I would find relief. He couldn't guarantee of course how soon, but just that level of optimism did wonders for me. I had done all the traditional physical therapy approaches before I started working with him: e-stim machine, light massage, alternating between heat / ice, epidural injection, the list goes on... He told me about shock wave therapy, a service they provide. He was very honest with me but again very optimistic. As I had exhausted all options besides surgery, he really felt this would be of great help. What I loved was he told me to do my own research also and only if I felt totally comfortable would we give it a go the next time we met. After my own research I decided to try it out. After my first session I noticed a difference. That week I only took my pain medication once. The following week, even better-less sciatic flare ups. By the third session, I had stopped taking my nerve medication, began to slowly increase walking again and do household tasks. And by week 4-I was standing completely straight! I was completely upright with no pain, no tingling, no need for any medication. I've completed about 6 sessions and I can't believe that I can go back to normal life again. He's also given great insight into what I should and should not be doing. I've received so many different opinions about dealing with an injury like this. But all those tips were creating more harm. I listened to him and my symptoms got better and eventually disappeared. I also have to mention the incredible front desk staff. They genuinely care about your well being.
