Street parking nearby this college was all taken up so I had to park a bit further which wasn't too bad actually. It still took me about 10 mins to walk in. This time around I took a short cut by walking through the campus than walking around the campus like last time to get to the amphitheater where the graduation took place. By doing so, I got a chance to see a bit more of the campus. It's quite serene and quiet. This college was built on a hill for sure. Lots of uphill. If there's uphill, then there is downhill. It all balances out. I don't know if I'll be returning to this college any time soon since both my younger brother's kids have graduated from high school. Nevertheless, I was able to capture some new photos from my recent visit. Enjoy them! I am very proud of my niece for her accomplishments. I wish her all the very best in her next chapters in life. Go have more fun adventures!

He gives us the reality checks that light a fire under us, motivating us to study hard and prepare for the real world of nursing. He's incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and a little strict but that's because he genuinely wants us to succeed. His passion for teaching, leadership, and dedication to our success make him an outstanding educator. I highly recommend him to anyone who has the opportunity to learn from him. We actually miss having him as our Clinical Instructor. He used to teach our clinicals before he was promoted to Clinical Director, and while we're proud of his achievement, we still wish he could come back and be our Clinical Instructor again. Thank you, Prof. Josh, for inspiring us to become the best nurses we can be!

Read This Before Enrolling…read more I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience so others know what they might be dealing with. From June through August of 2025, I made multiple attempts to get help and clear answers about my situation at Glendale Career College. I reached out several times to Dr. Siao and Emily Gonzales through both email and phone calls, just trying to understand what steps I needed to take to move forward. This wasn't just one or two messages -- I followed up repeatedly over several months. I tried to schedule meetings, asked for guidance, and called multiple times. Every time I called, I was told she was either in a meeting or unavailable, and despite repeated attempts, I was never able to connect with her directly. Meanwhile, I was left not knowing what was going on or what I was supposed to do next. The most frustrating part is that I actually did what was asked of me. Emily Gonzales specifically told me to reach out to her regarding re-enrollment, which I did. On August 23, I sent a clear re-entry request (included in the screenshots). A few days later, I was told that I never submitted anything. That didn't make sense to me at all, because I have the email showing that I did. At one point, I was told they had already responded and were waiting for me to confirm an appointment. However, this did not align with my experience at all, as I had been consistently trying to reach them for weeks prior with no response. The appointment times that were eventually offered came after months of being unable to get clear communication, which is what caused the delay in the first place. This situation directly affected my ability to move forward with my education and ended up delaying me by approximately six months before I was able to continue into the next term. After everything escalated, the Director of Operations, Brooke, eventually reached out to me, apologized, and set up a meeting. At the time, I thought things were finally going to get handled. However, going into the next semester, I experienced similar issues again. There were multiple last-minute schedule changes, ongoing disorganization, and instances where classes were scheduled but no instructor was present for extended periods of time. In some cases, students were left waiting for hours without instruction, which made it difficult to maintain any consistent learning environment. When concerns were raised about these issues, the response often involved warnings about being dropped from the program rather than an effort to understand or resolve the situation. This was not just my experience -- multiple students in the class can account for the same issues. During a survey, there was also an emphasis on providing positive feedback rather than honest feedback, which felt discouraging considering the issues that were actively being experienced by students at the time. Students are taking on significant financial commitments for this program, which makes clear communication, organization, and accountability even more important. I made multiple attempts to resolve this privately before posting anything publicly. Situations like this should not happen when students are relying on clear guidance and communication. Timeline of events: * June 26: Initial email sent regarding my situation * July 17: Followed up and attempted to schedule a meeting * July 25: Additional follow-up after no response * August 4: Multiple calls and emails with no response * August 23: Sent formal re-entry request (attached) * August 26: Told I never submitted a re-entry request * August 29: Sent follow-up email summarizing all prior attempts and lack of response I've included screenshots showing the timeline of my communication attempts so you can review everything directly. If you're considering enrolling here, I would strongly recommend asking how they handle communication and student concerns, because in my experience, that was a major issue.

As a fellow yelper said it so well.. are we really going to rate USC on Yelp? LOL!!…read more I am delighted and thrilled to share I am now an alumna of USC. As a yelper here for over 13 years, I don't sugarcoat my words (or in my reviews), and I don't intend to do so here either. The USC program is rigorous and not for everyone. There were so many readings that I often genuinely wondered if it was even humanly possible to get through them all. Granted, I am a slow reader, and that certainly did not help. Beyond the beautiful campus and the prestige that comes with the school, more importantly know that there is no financial aid for tuition fees for master program. Education does not come cheap. Still I am grateful for the learning experience and for my many professors who were simply wonderful and amazing professionals. A big shout out to Dr. Julianna Kirschner, Professor Monica Koyama, Dr. Muthuswamy and Dr. Courtney Pade. P.S. I do wish I had been in the class of Dr. Bracero and Dr. Akira; I have heard so many amazing things about them.

I didn't attend this prestigious University; however, I joke that I am an honorary alumna. My brothers from another mother all graduated from here, and I attend Homecoming with them every year. In fact, I used to work with Eddie Tannenbaum who discovered Traveler (USC's Mascot) when he was a junior in 1961. The campus is beautiful and features several Romanesque Revival style buildings. A portion of the main campus was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The Coliseum is in walking distance. I've attended many football games here over the years and have seen Clay Matthews, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, & Matt Leinart play. I remember the glory days of Pete Carroll. Our favorite tailgate party is the one hosted by LAMBDA. They have a great DJ, delicious food, a premium bar, fun activities and, of course, fabulous attendees! This year we were treated to yummy eats from Bludso's BBQ & tasty treats by Ice Cream Occasions. When the party was over, we all headed to the Coliseum for the match between the Trojans & the Huskies. Sadly, we lost this game but we will continue to Fight On!

Transferred here during the lingering effects of the pandemic. (Fall 2021) My first year was fully…read moreremote and 2nd year was starting to go back in-person. Graduated during Summer 2023. Parking was $220 + Sales Tax during Fall/Spring semesters. Winter/Summer are a bit cheaper. As a business major, professors here in my experience weren't the best. Rarely you'll get a highly knowledgeable professor with legit experience in the field you're studying in. Some professors just make me wonder how in the world they get to teach in the first place. For example, we had an HR professor making us type 10 page essays every week with no substance to it. Overall: I did enjoy my experience here. I did what I can in those 2 years, 1 year being remote. Worked here as a SA. There's definitely a lot of improvements needed to be made. From school initiatives, in-house internships, old buildings that need to be replaced, library study room filled with mold, administration-student relationships etc. Students should be more engaging here and I just didn't get the vibe here in most classes. My recommendation if you're considering going here is to do as much research as you can and try your best to foster self-initiatives and join clubs or work on campus. Key Takeaways: - CSULA is a commuter school so expect many students to not being sociable or engaging. Many friends I've talked to who went here agreed on the same thing. - Lots of politics - CSULA is conveniently located by the I-710 and I-10 freeways. - Food Court consist of Fast Food (El Pollo Loco, Carl's Jr., Panda Express etc) (Not many food choices near by campus) - Old buildings. Some with mold on them or elevators not working. - WiFi Connection in Salazar Hall or King Hall may be weak for some.

Be ready to walk in circles. -admissions requires official transcripts but NEVER notifies you that they have been received and you can't get in contact to confirm -they require approval for outside credits but you will wait months before getting a counseling appointment for review of transcripts -I had to make multiple appointments for counselors mistakes and misinformation to which they are not apologetic for. -counselors are NOT trained and waste your time to review credits after you've waiting a month just to be able to make an appointment and then another 2 weeks because the first counselor didn't submit credits correct(I was given 3 separate answers-yes all are transferable, no only a couple, then finally, yes more than a couple but not all credits are transferable which ultimately brought creditably of school and counselors into question) I was told the school doesn't have proper funding so they do their best to give you correct credits but ultimately felt like I was being scammed into taking more credits so they could make money. I was also recommended to just sign up for classes even if they weren't the right ones because it's better to be in a class while I wait on credit approval. -they make you pay for parking but don't enforce rules -campus is disgusting especially AD building and restrooms -homeless camp there and do drugs and doesn't feel safe

Dr. Ina played a huge role in my success throughout Terms 3 and 4. She challenged us to do our best, encouraged us to stay disciplined, and provided countless resources to help us succeed. Her passion for teaching is truly inspiring--you can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that enthusiasm motivates her students every day. A special thank you as well to Miss Karla for being such a supportive, approachable, and genuinely fun instructor. She created a positive learning environment that made even the most challenging days more manageable. One area where I believe ACC could improve is the clinical rotation assignment process. Students are not given the opportunity to choose their clinical sites, and commute times are often not taken into consideration. For example, some students who live in Pasadena were assigned to Santa Monica, while students who live near Santa Monica are assigned to Pasadena. Even got threatened to be sent to San Gabriel the next time I complained. While I understand that clinical placements depend on site availability and program requirements, a more thoughtful approach that considers students' commuting distances and personal circumstances would help reduce stress and improve the overall learning experience. Overall, I am grateful for the education, support, and experiences I gained throughout the program. Thank you to all the instructors who invested their time, knowledge, and energy into helping us become future nurses.
