It's only been about a week since Chief William took on this role, yet our neighborhood has already noticed a remarkable difference. Yesterday, I saw a motorcycle police officer proactively patrolling our streets during the day which we usually don't see! Then, last night at 3:22 a.m., another patrol officer was driving through the neighborhood. Seeing this level of police presence both during the day and in the early morning hours is something we honestly haven't experienced before unless we specifically called and requested assistance. For many years, our neighborhood has hoped for more proactive patrols, and it's incredibly reassuring to see this kind of attention being given to our community. It sends a strong message that the safety and well-being of Glendale residents truly matter. On behalf of many of my neighbors, I want to sincerely thank Chief Robert William and the dedicated officers of the Glendale Police Department for their commitment, visibility, and service. We greatly appreciate the extra effort and hope this positive momentum continues. Knowing our neighborhood is being actively watched over brings a tremendous sense of comfort and security to all of us. Thank you for making such a positive first impression. Unfortunately, that never happened. Despite my attempts to follow up, I have received no meaningful communication or assistance. Every time I try to get an update, it feels like my calls disappear into a voicemail system with no response. This is especially frustrating because I took the initiative to do some of my own investigating. I contacted the business where the person who stole my belongings used my credit card in hopes of obtaining the surveillance footage. I was told they could not release the video to me and that it could only be provided to the assigned investigator. The problem is that I have never been able to get in touch with anyone to move the investigation forward. To make matters worse, this is the third time property has been stolen where I live, which has left me feeling very unsafe. I can't help but wonder if someone within my apartment complex may be involved, yet I feel like my concerns have not been taken seriously. I understand that law enforcement has many cases to handle, but simply never following up with victims is unacceptable. A quick phone call or update would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left to try to solve the case myself with little to no support. Overall, I found the process unprofessional and incredibly disappointing. I hope the department improves its communication with victims so others don't have the same experience.

I had an appointment to see Doctor specialist that morning. Later at 7:00am I was in extreme pain and needed the ER. 6:30 is shift change. They sent 2 baby firefighters. Not EMTs. A young girl, smallish and a 23 y.o. guy, also not too big, not yet an EMT. I couldnt walk and was in screaming pain. These 2 raw untrained firemen were overwelled. Barely carried me down a few stairs, and put me on a guerny to hospital ER. They were untrained, unprepared and acted like I was bothering them. I don't know what crew they were. Shocking that the Captain sent out 2 small unqualified, unprepared, probationary "Firefighters" on a medical emergency.

Instead of simply explaining whether sandbags were available or where residents could get them, I was met with a lot of attitude and the phone was hung up on me twice. I understand if the station doesn't provide sandbags or if there are certain rules or limited supplies. That's completely understandable. What I don't understand is why a resident asking a simple question couldn't be treated with basic courtesy and directed to the proper location. Our local fire stations are an important part of the community, and I expected a much more professional and helpful response. It's not like these sandbags are coming out of Captain Jackson's personal budget or paycheck. They're community emergency resources meant to help residents prepare and protect their property. If they're unavailable or there are restrictions, just explain that. There's no reason for the attitude or to hang up on someone simply asking for information.

To transfer a patient to Er ? Some are nice and helpful but some give "advice"? "For future reference" why we shouldn't have called them.. one guy was giving a lecture to one of my nurses why we shouldn't have called because patient was DNR and that the hospital is gonna do what you guys can do here .. and we're making it worse because patient can get more things at hospital .. , patient ended up getting admitted and hospital was glad we sent her as soon as possible .. DNR does not mean stop giving care to the patient .. especially patient was alert with a pulse .. it's sad to see some of these guys treat there job like this .. tax payers this is what you get !! Very sad

We have a low lying spot by our garage that only floods in torrential down pour. So I'm preparing ! The two firemen that answered the bell were very friendly. (Probably a little surprised someone was actually visiting their location. ) I asked about the sandbags (as I've heard they give free sandbags out at fire stations) and they said they have the bags but no sand at this location. They gave me locations of departments that did have sand and even showed me the locations on the map. So I got my sandbags (FREE) and I'll be stopping by the next station for the sand. There's really no reason to not be prepared! Stop by your local station (or call in advanced) and give these amazing men and women who protect us, a smile and a thank you.... while picking up your free sandbags. I've lived in this area all my life and I have never been inside the firehouse. I'm glad I got to stop in, in a non emergency situation and visit. A+
