From the moment I arrived, the booking officers were professional, courteous, and treated me like a human being. They explained the process clearly, kept me informed about what was happening, and made sure I was taken care of throughout my stay. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, which made the environment feel more organized and safe. I was provided with meals--lunch, dinner, and breakfast--without issue, and staff checked in regularly to make sure I had what I needed. Even though I was technically on the "other side of the law," I never felt disrespected or mistreated. I want to be clear that this isn't a complaint; the officers were simply doing their jobs, and they did so professionally and with a sense of humanity. Overall, I left with a sense of appreciation for how the staff handled my situation. I have no hard feelings toward them, and I recognize the challenges of their work. It's not easy to manage a facility like this, but their professionalism, courtesy, and attentiveness really stood out to me.

It's only been about a week since Chief William took on this role, yet our neighborhood has already noticed a remarkable difference. Yesterday, I saw a motorcycle police officer proactively patrolling our streets during the day which we usually don't see! Then, last night at 3:22 a.m., another patrol officer was driving through the neighborhood. Seeing this level of police presence both during the day and in the early morning hours is something we honestly haven't experienced before unless we specifically called and requested assistance. For many years, our neighborhood has hoped for more proactive patrols, and it's incredibly reassuring to see this kind of attention being given to our community. It sends a strong message that the safety and well-being of Glendale residents truly matter. On behalf of many of my neighbors, I want to sincerely thank Chief Robert William and the dedicated officers of the Glendale Police Department for their commitment, visibility, and service. We greatly appreciate the extra effort and hope this positive momentum continues. Knowing our neighborhood is being actively watched over brings a tremendous sense of comfort and security to all of us. Thank you for making such a positive first impression. I had an appointment to see Doctor specialist that morning. Later at 7:00am I was in extreme pain and needed the ER. 6:30 is shift change. They sent 2 baby firefighters. Not EMTs. A young girl, smallish and a 23 y.o. guy, also not too big, not yet an EMT. I couldnt walk and was in screaming pain. These 2 raw untrained firemen were overwelled. Barely carried me down a few stairs, and put me on a guerny to hospital ER. They were untrained, unprepared and acted like I was bothering them. I don't know what crew they were. Shocking that the Captain sent out 2 small unqualified, unprepared, probationary "Firefighters" on a medical emergency.

To transfer a patient to Er ? Some are nice and helpful but some give "advice"? "For future reference" why we shouldn't have called them.. one guy was giving a lecture to one of my nurses why we shouldn't have called because patient was DNR and that the hospital is gonna do what you guys can do here .. and we're making it worse because patient can get more things at hospital .. , patient ended up getting admitted and hospital was glad we sent her as soon as possible .. DNR does not mean stop giving care to the patient .. especially patient was alert with a pulse .. it's sad to see some of these guys treat there job like this .. tax payers this is what you get !! Very sad

It's clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful and was able to give me all the information I asked for. Parking is available catty corner. Handicap ramp is available. I saw something disturbing the other night. At 4:30am I was stopped at the light at Riverside and either Vineland or Lankershim, can't remember, I was looking at the homeless encampment under the overpass when a Fire Dept. ambulance or paramedic box truck traveling south entered the underpass area slowed down and started blaring its sirens, no lights, zigzagged from one side to the other, then turned off the siren as soon as it exited. All a mean-spirited attempt to annoy those sleeping in tents. I did not get a truck number, wish I had. Is this sanctioned or tolerated behavior? If yes, it is shameful. If not, since I didn't get a truck number, you might want to put the word out that many in the community would be offended by this behavior.
