This was the worst experience I have ever had with dog boarding!…read moreI signed up for the VIP service to board my dog for a few days. My dog was returned to me with a huge bloody wound on the top of her head. Nobody contacted me to tell me what happened or when. My Vet was not contacted and looks like No medical attention was given!! I had to take her to the Vet and due to an infection of the wound she required a medical procedure, antibiotics, and paid medication. I will NEVER use or recommend The Pup Camp - stay away!

Sooo, I took my puppy in today (Saturday) to have a temperament test done. He was there four hours…read moreto see if he was a fit for the center. Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. The young lady stated the temperament testing was free, (I learned this was not true once I got there and signed my pup up for the day). (FIRST NEGATIVE) Prior to leaving, I had my own water bowl and water for my pup. The young lady said, oh no, we provide water for your dog. ALL OF THE DOGS DRINK OUT OF THE SAME BOWL. (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.) BUT, he smelled like the other dogs ganged up on him and dumped urine all over him. Ohhh goodness, he was a stinky mess. I did not inquire about this, which I should have. (THIRD NEGATIVE). When I asked for the report card, the young lady goes, "oh I'm sorry, he doesn't have one because there were a lot of dogs today." REALLY?!? But you took my money with no problem. (FOURTH NEGATIVE) The moral to this story, there are too many negatives for the initial consultation so I will pass.

Love Those Paws - I am taking a rest after a long dog walk

Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Now they are just stuck with us. As always, a great experience and we love being able to travel without any worries.

My dog was either not fed or not given the food I provided. When I arrived, I was given two bags of food back. I provided enough for 2 feedings each day during his four day stay. Unfortunately, Raymond, the manager did not know why this was the case. 2. No one called me to report blood bowel movements, nor was he given timely potty breaks. I noticed that Delta's anus was really dark, almost dirty looking. As soon as we got outside, he urinated for so long that I could tell he hadn't been in hours. The bowel movement that followed was runny and bloody. I realized the "dirty" look was due to dried blood. Delta strained to poop three times after that and blood poured and pooled from his butt. I asked Raymond had this been reported to him. He said no. 3. The workers did not notify Raymond that Delta was pooping blood, nor did they notify me so that I could get him medical treatment in a timely fashion. Raymond called to inquire, and the workers said they forgot to tell Raymond. Delta had a blood bowel movement that morning, evidently hadn't been out to relieve himself, therefore they didn't witness any more instances. 4. In the same breath as the apology from the workers, they told me my dog was being a "bad boy", trying "attack" other dogs. The two women working that morning called me directly to apologize for forgetting to report the issue. They shared that they had a dog that required special attention due to wounds and old age, had day care pets coming in, and that Delta was being a "bad boy" trying to "attack" and bite the other dogs from the other side of the cage. Getting him back inside and away from the other pets was really difficult, they said...So that's how they forgot to notify report a potential health concern - it was a lot going on to include my dog's behavior. I simply thanked them for the call, but my question is...My dog is pooping blood at this point. Not bloody stool, but actual blood, and he's trying to "attack"...why wasn't I called? If they couldn't care about his health, I'd think they'd care about the safety and peace of the other pets. My dog is not aggressive. He acts no different from other dogs who are playful and want to "get at" other dogs. But he is a one year old pit bull. This is the one opinion I'll provide in all of this: If he wasn't a pit bull, his behavior wouldn't be mistaken for "attacking" other dogs. Pit bulls can't jump, bark, or chase other animals without being judged harshly. Delta will pull me in an attempt to approach other dogs...to play. If he was being aggressive, something was wrong, but he shouldn't be blamed for any of this.
