Sue, I cannot believe that you wrote such lies. I don't normally call a person out for being a liar, but you are just that. There are so many other reviews that say the same exact thing about your lack of dog grooming capabilities. And how dare you make this hatchet job about myself and my mother. My mother said she never apologized for Dakota's appearance. You are extremely unprofessional and dishonest . The only point that I was making about my mother is that she is 80 years old and she has no right to make any decisions about my dog. I bought a $2,500 Pomski specifically for the dogs fur and beauty. I didn't want a bald dog. Shaving him wasn't your only option, your other option was not to groom him at all, which is what I would've preferred. I would've taken him to a competent groomer that could have gotten the few mats out. The only mats that Dakota had were underneath of his leg and where his collar was around his neck. And the only cut on my dogs body was from your Hatchet job. Also, you completely lied about saying that you told me about different brushes to use. I have never spoken to you in person, ever!!. I dropped the dog off once. My mother and my son had always dropped the dog off and picked him up because I work in Bethesda. Since the horrible shaving episode that you did to Dakota, he will not go outside to play with the other dogs. He goes outside and goes to the bathroom and then comes right back in. He is not sociable and will not play with the other dogs. This has all happened since you cut all of his fur off. This is not a coincidence. You have psychologically damaged my dog. Yes, his fur might grow back, but you have psychologically hurt him. You should never be able to cut another dogs hair ever again.

We found Sue about 6 months ago and we are so glad we did! We were taking our cocker spaniel to Petsmart but we weren't having the best experience. With Sue she is always so friendly and sweet to our baby and she does a perfect job grooming him every time. She listens to what I want and cuts his hair accordingly. If you're looking for a groomer you can trust go see Sue! Also as a tip she only accepts check or cash so just be prepared!

There aren't enough stars to rate Sue. We followed her from her previous employ and can say we will stay with her as long as she'll take our yaptastic doggos. She always takes care of the pooches, they smell fantastic afterwards. I am being forced at snout-point to register a complaint for the Shih Tzu - he freaks out when his poofy tail "fronds" touch that bare butt area when he walks. Makes him sit down suddenly and look behind him like he's trying to avoid being violated. We, personally, find that to be a bonus because it's HILARIOUS, but I think his dignity gets shattered. We love him anyway and he feels and smells soooo much better.

Took my shepherd mix, Buddy, to Sue for the first time today and I am very pleased. We recently moved to the area and haven't found a groomer I liked that's reasonable pricing so far. My dog is a senior, very nervous, rescue and was shaking in fear upon entering. Sue listened to my concerns of his cyst on his tail and nervousness. She finished him in a timely manner and let me know how he did which I really appreciated. Buddy looks and smells like a whole new dog. His fur is really soft and he's not shedding as much. Not only that, he came out wagging his tail and happy before he even saw me. Plus the cute bandana is an awesome touch. Sue was very personable and seems to actually care for the dogs. I already made another appointment for next time. Thanks for taking care of my Buddy, Sue!

This is a photo of the haircut I showed her I wanted vs. what we got.

We did not have a great experience. First, I wasn't made aware of how this business operates. All of the dogs are dropped off in the morning, and Sue just lets you know when they're ready. There are no specific appointment times. I dropped my dog off at 8:30 AM, and when I called to check in at 12:30, I was told she wouldn't be ready until around 3:00 PM. My dog has severe anxiety, and I only medicated her enough for a few hours because I had no idea how long she'd be there. I was upset by the idea of her staying in a kennel for 6+ hours, so Sue said she'd get her ready sooner. She apologized for the miscommunication, and I told her I understood. I said "Now that I know, I'll be better prepared for next time." I picked up my dog, and at first glance, I thought she looked cute -- overall much shorter than we usually go, but I wasn't really upset about that. I didn't get a great look at her though because she was wearing a big harness and a long bandana. I paid for the service and left. I realized after we got home and took off her harness and bandana that her haircut was awful. It was choppy and uneven and WAY too close around her private parts. I showed Sue a photo of how I wanted her cut, and she seemed to understand, but she did not do what I asked at all. Her nails, paws, and tail looked great, and she smelled wonderful. I don't doubt that Sue takes good care of the animals at all, and she's very nice. However we are very unhappy with her haircut and won't be back. I've included photos of her haircut as well as the photo of the haircut I showed her I wanted.

We love Sue. We have moved to pikesville but we still bring our bichon to her. Definitely would recommend her.

When booking online, the system prompts you to enter your card information immediately after selecting an appointment. Typically, this step indicates that a deposit will be processed, but that wasn't clearly communicated at the time of booking. When a team member later called to confirm my appointment, I mentioned that I had already entered my card information during the booking process. There was no follow-up from the team to clarify whether the deposit had been received, and since no additional communication was sent, I reasonably assumed everything was confirmed. However, I received a text message at 5:40 p.m. on 10/10/25 -- about 20 minutes before closing -- stating that my appointment scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on 10/11/25 had been canceled. I immediately called and texted but didn't receive a response until the next morning when the business reopened, at which point the appointment was already canceled. Given that appointments here are often booked weeks, if not months, in advance, it's extremely difficult to pivot or make alternate arrangements on such short notice. The lack of follow-up and the last-minute cancellation were disappointing, especially considering the time and planning it takes to secure a spot. I'm sharing this feedback constructively, as I understand things happen, but clearer communication and more proactive customer service would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

The techs and front desk staff are friendly. They generally can get you an appt next day. The bad: 1. My pet has been seen here within the past 6 months. I called to get a simple flea and tick med refill. We are up to date on the heart worm testing that had been performed here. The receptionist told me I could not get the med filled because it is state law to be up to date on rabies vaccination to get flea and tick medicines prescribed. My pet did not have a rabies vaccine on file at the first visit, when they prescribed me a 6 month dose. They did not tell me at the time that a stipulation to refill would be to have proof of rabies vaccine. Poor communication to me, and gave me misinformation because it is not State law, but instead their individual policy for this company that they must have proof of rabies to prescribe anything else to you. I appreciate that the medical director did call me back same day and listened to my concerns. They filled the med as a one off, but it was very disheartening to have to jump through hoops to get a preventative care medicine that other vets would readily give because all that is actually required by law is a valid vet-client relationship which, for most vets, means they have examined your pet within the past year. 2. We had cytology sent away for my dogs lump. The vet called to discuss the results and said that not enough sample had been collected, but she was confident it was a lipoma. This seemed to be an error in collecting the sample, but when discussing with the medical director it was told to me that this was another miscommunication. It was actually deemed a lipoma per the lab. 3. We brought our 4 month old, 4 pound kitten is for pre-surgical labs for her spay. They said she was too unruly and gave us meds to make her calmer. We came back with her medicated and they were still unable to get a blood sample. This is not a feral cat, she is a well domesticated cat we have bottle fed since 4 weeks old. The vet that performed her spay was able to get bloodwork without pre-meds. Unfortunately too much "bad" outweigh the "good" for us to return here.

Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. The young lady stated the temperament testing was free, (I learned this was not true once I got there and signed my pup up for the day). (FIRST NEGATIVE) Prior to leaving, I had my own water bowl and water for my pup. The young lady said, oh no, we provide water for your dog. ALL OF THE DOGS DRINK OUT OF THE SAME BOWL. (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.) BUT, he smelled like the other dogs ganged up on him and dumped urine all over him. Ohhh goodness, he was a stinky mess. I did not inquire about this, which I should have. (THIRD NEGATIVE). When I asked for the report card, the young lady goes, "oh I'm sorry, he doesn't have one because there were a lot of dogs today." REALLY?!? But you took my money with no problem. (FOURTH NEGATIVE) The moral to this story, there are too many negatives for the initial consultation so I will pass.
