When Dr. Petrunich came in, he checked the tooth and quickly said that it looks as it hasn't fully grown out yet (not true as my referring dentist informed otherwise and I saw my xrays). I heard him whisper something to the dental assistant behind me. That made me feel very uncomfortable, made me wonder why he would whisper in the presence of a patient. He then began injecting numbing medicine. He gave me three injections (waited about a minute between each one. I had the feeling he was rushing as it was late in the afternoon) and numbing never happened. He eventually said he was going to tug on it a little to see if I would feel anything; it hurt as if metal was being pulled through my tooth. He then said that he is going to have to reschedule so they could put me to sleep. I have had several dental surgeries done in the past and never put to sleep or given anything to calm me. Ever since he pulled on my wisdom tooth, I have had random ear pain on that same side. I left Petrunich's office and scheduled an appointment with another dental surgeon I had seen in the past, even though he was now out of network. He immediately popped the wisdom tooth out within minutes. Never felt any pain or aches afterwards either.

They must be doing something right because everyone working there seems relaxed and happy. I went in about a month ago for a consult, and earlier today for oral surgery. I saw the same providers (surgeon, and who I'm assuming was an EFDA) both times. I am more anxious than the average bear when it comes to dental work and/or anticipated pain, so I thoroughly appreciated the feeling of security I got by seeing the same familiar faces when I went back in for my procedure. I was very nervous about the surgery/ anticipated subsequent pain, and started tearing up in the chair. I'm not proud of that, but it is what it is. Both Dr. Famiglio and his EFDA (I wish I could remember her name because she was really great) noticed, and reassured me there would be no pain during or after, then distracted me with funny stories while the anesthesia kicked in. Tonight I received a follow-up call from Dr. Famiglio himself to check in on how I'm doing/pain level, and to see if I have any questions. He encouraged me to call in if I have any questions. I was stunned at that added personal touch. I couldn't be more impressed with this office and everyone who works there. I would never willingly go anywhere else, and I highly recommend this office to anyone who needs oral surgery.

My experience was top notch in the promptness of getting me into the chair at the time specified (no waiting around10-20-30 minutes like many Dr. offices). The front desk was very busy but spent enough time with me to make sure everything was in order insurance / paperwork wise AND did it with a smile . The extraction prep and process was smooth and efficient with the support cast very interactive and sensitive too the inherent nervousness associated with pre-surgery time. The preparation and extraction was done quickly with emphasis on patient comfort and pain tolerance. Every person in the room during this procedure was professional but friendly and focused on their job. A few days after the surgery there was still some discomfort so I call their office (on a Monday) and was quickly scheduled for Tues. AM. The issue was ID'd and corrected. No hassles no stress. I do not write reviews often (maybe 1 / year) and only when the experience is very positive or very negative. I am not a shill for this practice and don't know a single person personally. So..... you should feel comfortable selecting this practice and specifically Dr. Walker. Cameron M. 1/16/2024 Exton, PA

Then they spammed me online with the same insurance questions, super long health surveys, hippa disclosure and boilerplate liability waivers. Oh, and attach pictures of insurance cards. Later that day I get a phone call asking for more photos of insurance cards. Next morning I get another call. Can I come in early? Well, did you receive my referral, xray and have my insurance info ok? Um, dunno, can you come in earlier? When I arrive for my "consultation" appointment they ask for my payment information, identification, want to make copies of my insurance cards (4th time if you're counting). Then they wisk me into the x ray room. Why, I ask, since my dentist sent my day old xray to you? Well, we need a panoramic x-ray they say. Thanks for exposing me to more radiation and unnecessary medical procedures! A pano was not needed and could've been requested from my dentist. Then comes the dds... we'll pull the teeth out, do you want a local or be put out? I say, how's the xray look? Umm, its fine says he. Local or general? Hmm So now the insurance lady shows up. Well, your dental wont cover a general, that'll be $1200 out of pocket. Great, local is fine. Ok, so how are we paying today? $150 out of pocket for the xray he didn't look at and scheduled the appointment. At this point I have spent 4 hours across several days answering the same questions over and again. Not so much as a minute on my medical condition. That's what pain to expect before the actual procedure. Good luck and God Bless!

The amazingly skilled and congenial Dr. Fort plus his team of talented professionals (like gum specialist Stephanie or hygienist Shannon) can do it all -- pleasantly and expertly. You can readily tell that the entire WCDA team like each other and their work as they smile and display gentle senses of humor which make even anxious patients smile. Moreover, you won't be sent to other dental offices for complex procedures like I've experienced with other dentists. As a senior citizen with various dental problems over the years, I've had decades of experiences. These experiences have varied widely at dental offices literally around the U.S. and even a few outside the U.S. plus one on a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier where I served for a couple of years. Some dentists were good but their support team had weaknesses like an unpleasant receptionist or untalented hygienist; other times, the weak point of the practice was actually the dentist who didn't have much ability so he or she had to re-direct you to other dental offices for any procedure that was complex. It's a whole new dental world at West Chester Dental Arts where I've found everyone to be friendly, gracious and talented expert professionals in all their team roles. Recently I needed a dental implant to replace a missing tooth and was apprehensive about the process as I had heard some concerning stories from friends about the process based on their experiences with other dentists. But, everything went totally smoothly for me with highly skillful Dr. Fort and his support team. I experienced virtually no pain at any time from start to finish during the several month process and the implant fits so perfectly that it feels and looks just like another one of my natural teeth that has been in my mouth for years. The superior talents and pleasant attitudes of Dr. Fort and his talented team have given me great comfort about any dental work I may need in the future. BTY, Dr. Fort is the first dentist I've ever overheard say that he truly enjoys his work and appreciates his patients. That comment alone was enough to make me know that I had finally found my dentist for the rest of my life!

Let's face it, I haven't met one person in life who says they looked forward to going to the dentist. But nervously I made the appointment on a Monday begging for them to please squeeze me in asap to remove the tooth. They very kindly were able to get me an appointment the very next day with Dr. Sheeran. My tooth was infected, so they had to give me Anesthesia to remove the tooth. I have to say, I can not thank Dr. Sheeran enough for what he did. The man is no less than a miracle worker! He is very kind, courteous, with excellent bedside manner. I felt completely at ease from the minute I met him until the time the removal was done. Not only that, but he inserted the greatest IV I've ever had in my life! I Could barely even feel a pinch. We joked a little, talked about golf, and next thing you know what felt like five seconds later I'm wide awake and the procedure was complete. Here we are less than 24 hours after the tooth removal, and I have ZERO pain. No bleeding, no discomfort, nothing. Words can't even begin to express how happy I am to have met Dr Sheeran and have him work on me. Believe me when I tell you, the man is extremely gifted at what he does. I also have to say how friendly and professional his entire staff is. The 2 ladies at the desk were a complete joy to deal with, as well as Dr Sheeran's assistant that aided him with the surgery. From start to finish, everyone was amazing. I hope I never have to experience this type of tooth issue again, but if I do, I'm definitely going back to Dr Sheeran.
