Glen and Armando are great! It was the first time using their services for my pup. I called and had a few questions and spoke directly with Glen. He was friendly and answered all of my questions. I emailed to make my reservation and sent over my pup's vaccination records. Pick up and drop off was a breeze. I appreciated how there is a lot of outdoor space for the dogs to play and run around. And the dogs are brought indoors to sleep. Armando was very accommodating with my dog's food as he has a sensitive tummy. My dog enjoyed his stay very much. Glen helped me out at a stressful time when moving out of my home of 19 years and trying to get my puppers, Thalia, transported for her trip from LAX to the Big Island Hawaii. When I adopted my dog Isla, she was very skittish with men. The shelter thought she had been previously abused by a male owner. I was a little worried about leaving her with Glen and Armando until they sent me pictures of her running and playing with other dogs. Isla kept her distance from them, but eventually was able to warm up to Armando and even give him kisses on his hand. I was worried about boarding my two Chow Chow puppies for the first time as they are pretty young and you never want to leave your babies! Glen was very nice to take them and give them their own space to stay for the week. He even sent an email update while I was on my trip. When we came to pick them up they were having a great time running around the yard! There is tons of space for the dogs and the facility is super clean. The location is perfect if you're flying out of LAX.. we dropped off the dogs then parked the car at an off site parking lot for the week. It was nice to be able to pick up the puppies so quickly after we landed. Very affordable. Will definitely be bringing them here when I travel in the future! read more

I have used glen about 5 times now he is always very accommodating to me and that says a lot. i have a very demanding dog and Glen always goes out of his way to make sure he and the other dogs around are safe. He treats my dog like his own. a few times i have stopped by and found Chester (my dog) just hanging out with Glen or the other staff in the house type area 1 on 1. Tip: use email when possible, Glen is good on email and I think it helps him keep all the times and special needs strait. read more

Our dog Freya stayed with Glen over the holidays while we went on a family visit abroad. I had done a lot of research and visited several of those new, fancy-looking dog hotels, that turned out to be mere money-making machines with little or no supervision or care. I was really rather nervous about our options for her. Freya is a young and energetic Shepherd-Husky mix and is in great shape. She loves to run and play and can't stay locked in a little cage most of the day, like in those hotels. Our sweet boy is very anxious and sometimes aggressive, and leaving town was complicated - I was unimpressed with the boarding facilities I had used in the past, and dubious about leaving him at one of the more posh chains. I found Glen's Dog Inn on-line and was blown away by how my dog reacted when we went to visit. Glenn was very flexible and accommodating for me when I had to go out of town last minute and have my dog Nelson stay with him. I called a few days before my flight, booked a reservation for my dog, dropped him off, and my flight came back late, so they let me pick him up the next morning without charging me any additional fees, which I thought was very considerate. My dog was fine when I picked him up, everything was normal and he was calm and happy being home. I'm not sure about the boarding facilities here but this is a review of the services that Glen provided as a liaison when my cat arrived from overseas in to LAX. I was put into contact with him through the agency shipping my pet and glen was supposed to be good and the "cheapest". Last time I let that win me over. It took over two weeks to get an initial reply via email from glen himself about pricing for customs clearance and services including delivery, after my shipper had given me a quote he received from glen.. in that time period, plans had changed and the flight was arriving at a later time than previously quoted for. Glen was not forth coming with the new price (I asked 3 times via email as I was unable to call him). I attempted to extract the price from one email he did said and mistakenly only paid $345 of the $650 quote, to which he states he received but that he doesn't work for free. So may payment was garbage to him. He then told me that the price would be the same as before (even though he wasn't being delivered to a home which would have been 4-5 hours round trip for glen). After inquiring about this he dropped the price $75 and since my pet was already in flight, I just decided to pay and be done. The day he is to collect he says he didn't get the payment.. so I sent him the receipts, to which he says nothing. Doesn't tell you that he now see the payment or anything. In communication with my family who was collecting my cat from him he kept reiterating that the flight had changed and how much work was involved because the animal landed after hours, which to him is after 2pm (isn't that his job??) When a family member went to collect my pet, he then proceeded to tell them how I didn't understand how the flight had changed and the pricing was to be the same as very initially quoted. What kind of business tells the customer of all the work that is involved (as if that's not what they are paying you to do, then talks negatively about you to your own family?!) glad to have my pet safe and sound but I can say I will not be using this place again... bad vibes from the jump.. if you don't care to reply to an email about pricing (he told my family Member that the flight changes were inconvenient) why should I want you to actually provide a service to me if it clearly pains this owner so much to do so. Lesson learned and overall, just a very bad experience with the owner. read more

Within 24 hours of bringing my dog here, another dog named Cooper bit him, totaling 12 stitches under the neck and on top of the head. My dog is very well behaved; 8 years old, lab/beagle mix. In the entire time I've had Rusty, I've only heard him bark about 6 times (usually when he's asleep and dreaming). He doesn't get territorial, and he'd definitely rather give up his spot than get in a fight over it. I am writing this review for a few reasons, and it's definitely not to reprimand Cooper, since he was just being a dog after all--as annoying as his existence is to me, I can't blame him. There are two parties to blame though: 1. COOPER'S PARENTS: Dog owners have the responsibility to determine how their dog's behavior might affect other pets/people. If they admit that their dog could be "a little rambunctious," then they simply shouldn't board them at an open kennel because they obviously run the risk of attacking other, better-trained dogs. It's just common sense. 2. GLEN: As the owner of an open kennel, it is his job to minimize risk for all the pets. Aside from the obvious negligence that resulted in 12 stitches on Rusty while under his care, here's a direct quote from him in a follow-up email: "I didn't want to penalize Cooper for this (disallow him from coming here)... If in speaking with Cooper's owner you feel I should re-evaluate Cooper I am open to your opinion." First of all, this clearly shows the lack of a "one-bite policy," which means this could very well happen again to other dogs. Secondly, whether or not Cooper should be allowed to stay there again shouldn't even be up for discussion, but if it were, it certainly shouldn't involve me since I have no business interest in Glen's Dog Inn, nor would I ever consider being a customer again. That decision falls on Glen alone, and hopefully the only thing that will be taken into consideration is the well-being and trust of all the pets and pet-owners who decide to take the risk with this kennel. For the record, I have never received a call/vm from Glen after this happened (though my ex-gf did after I posted this review). But even if I did, I have no inclination to discuss anything with him or with Cooper's owner anyway; the damage has been done. I did receive one email from Glen apologizing and reiterating repeatedly that it wasn't Rusty's fault, as if I had any doubts to begin with. One thing is true, upon picking up Rusty and seeing the shaved gash across his neck and head, along with the staples and the dried blood, not acknowledging his negligent caretaker seemed like the most appropriate course of action at the time, let alone hugs and handshakes. Also, again, just for the record, the vet assistant who tended to my dog disagrees with the lack of blood, and so would anyone who stops to think how significant an injury would be to require 12 staples. read more

I have been leaving my dog with Glen for almost 2 years now and have referred family and friends. I have trusted Glen to care for my dog for as long as 2 weeks and she always comes home happy and tired. The best reference I can give for Glen is that my dog is always very excited when we pull up out front and can't wait to get let in to play with Glen and all the dogs. I have been taking my dogs to Glen's for about a year now and I only have great things to say about this place. First, let's talk about how much my dogs LOVE going to Glen's. I can rest assured that I'm not just boarding them, but that they're also on vacation too when I go out of town. I get off of the 405 and my German Shepherd is already pacing and excited to get out of the car. She's just that excited. Second, Glen is just so friendly and accommodating. You can tell he is total dog lover. He always keeps an eye on the dogs to make sure no one is acting up. I know my Shepherd pup gets super hyper so he keeps an extra eye out for her. Third, Glen keeps this place super clean and I am a huge germaphobe. My male pup goes in and starts marking everywhere and Glen is right behind him spraying everything down. Lastly, it's so convenient that he's right next to LAX so that you can drop your dogs off and be at LAX in no time. Even if my husband and I don't take a plane to go out of town, I drive my dogs from our house in Pasadena to stay with Glen. That's how much I like taking my dogs to Glen's. I know that when I leave my dogs with him, they're in great hands. I tell all of my friends that need dog boarding to head to Glen's! read more

We've been taking our boxer, Foxy, to Glen's Dog Inn for a while now and have only had positive experiences there. Glen and his staff take excellent care of Foxy and giver her plenty of room to run and play. We've taken her to other boarding places in the past where Foxy would sit in the car trembling, afraid to step out, but we never have that problem at Glen's. She is always excited to go there and, as soon as we park, jumps out of the car and rushes up the steps to his place. My bulldog was at Glen's for a short time before boarding a flight to Maui and when I called him to check on her he was very short, acted like I was bothering him. My wife and I have been bringing our dogs (a very energetic Boston and a more mellow cocker) here for years and have always had a great experience. The dogs always seem excited upon arrival, and the facility is always clean. Glenn and Henry are great with all the dogs. It's the one place we've ever found where we don't feel bad about leaving them for a couple of days. Glen's also has to be one of the best deals in town when it comes to kennels. We have taken our bulldog "Belle" to Glen several times now and every time we are so pleased with her care. I had recently adopted a mini-poodle from a rescue and had to leave town for a graduation. I had previously boarded my other dog at Glen's. This rescue definitely has some issues, in particular separation anxiety and high energy. I was concerned about leaving her, but Glen was great. Within hours after leaving her, I checked in with Glen and he assured me that she was fine. Upon my return, I found a very relaxed, calm and happy dog. She had bonded with Glen. Maybe it was the "open" kennel and being around other dogs that helped. If it's any indication how relaxed she was when she returned home, she slept for 2 days! Not a boarding place for every dog, but we highly recommend it! We have a dog from the shelter and she has serious seperation anxiety issue. Friends who are dog lovers have watched her in the past. Our sensative dog went into depression regardless! Boarding her at a standard dog inn with long caged time is simpley out of the question. Our dog recognizes the place and she is happy going there for long and short stays. We call the place her boarding school. It is an open kannel where dogs can socialize under supervision. Glen evaluated our dog early on and let us know that if she misbehaves, she will not be welcomed again. It is a very popular plce for dogs. Glen has taken our dog at all kind of hours- something businesses don't do for their customers any more. We would continue to support this business and hope others get to send their dogs there, too. read more

When we first moved to LA we left our dog at an expensive "luxury dog ranch" all the way out in Topanga and he came home injured TWICE! Then at x-mas, they didn't have room and recommended Glen. Glen and his staff are super friendly and accommodating and are very patient with our dog's separation anxiety issues. There are several fenced off yards where the dog's play freely, and Glen is very good at establishing groups of dogs that play well together and separating out the one's who don't. I used to take my dogs to Petsmart Pet's Hotel until I found Glen's Dog Inn, which we love. (We like Petsmart too, but we just now prefer it here!). Glen is super accommodating and friendly and my 2 small dogs really like it here. They get to socialize with other dogs if they want to, and Glen takes a genuine interest in their wellbeing. My original review was deleted by "someone" at Yelp headquarters!! So I am writing this again to warn others. I brought my dog here for a stay and it was a terrible experience. My dog was bitten by other dogs. My dog is normally mellow but now he has part of an ear missing and marks on his body where he was bitten and the hair hasn't grown back. I guess this was due to a lack of supervision of aggressive dogs. Anyway we were not informed about this until I picked my dog up and apparently a vet was not informed about my dog's injuries. My husband and I searched for a good dog kennel that wasn't too expensive (which we found out most dog boarding/kennels in L.A. are) but would still feel comfortable leaving our dog at while we went on vacation for a week. Glen's Dog Inn surpassed our expectations. We made an appointment to see the facility and were happy with the space. His property consists of two very large and spacious leash-free dog runs(one for large dogs and one for small dogs.) He has three gated doors to come through before you get to his office. This made me feel very relaxed knowing that for any reason our dog would accidentally get out of his run, he wouldn't get very far. I was also very happy with the way Glenn made it a point to ask my dogs breed, age, and temperament so we could discuss his sleeping arrangements, which dog run he should be in (my dog's a Basset so he's not too big but not too small,) and how to acclimate my dog to the group his first day. Kind of reminded me about making little kids comfortable on their first day of school. When we picked my dog up, he was very happy to see us, but more importantly, he didn't run to the gate to leave, like he did at other kennels we had him at. That surprised me and showed me that he was happy there and well cared for. Glenn was also very accommodating when my flight was delayed a bit and said it was no problem we would be late in picking him up. I would not hesitate to leave my dog with Glenn again. We leave our dog here everytime we go on a vacation. I leave her for a couple of weeks at Glen's and i picked her up without the "smell of neglection" (because other dog hotels don't really look after your furry friend and when you pick them up they smell like pee. But here, thats not the case. The home is very clean and if im not mistaken he's also a dog trainer or he has a dog trainer friend i think. All throughout great service!! :D read more

We boarded both our dogs for 10 days with Glen and we are so happy with the care they were given. Usually the dogs come home and mope about, but this time they were incredibly happy and look healthy.
