One of the torsion springs on my garage recently snapped, so I called Glen's Garage Doors for a quick price quote. I pass their roadside sign on the way into my neighborhood and knew they were a local company, so they were my first call. It was after hours but they still picked up and gave me a price. Bid was very affordable considering what I'd pay for the springs + rods + the time I'd spend measuring the springs and youtubing how to install. Ross came by the next day even though it was the weekend, which again was very accommodating. I ended up swapping out the rollers for a bit more money. He showed me how the existing ones were basically dragging and it was an easy decision. Super happy with their work, pricing, and customer service. Will use them again for any future work and recommend them out to others. We spoke to a number of garage door companies along with Glen's Garage Doors, which we learned about from local signage in the Ramona Country Estates. First, I have to say that we were floored by how negatively we were treated by the other contractors we called, told ridiculous costs, 6 month windows and even one told us they were so busy they didn't want to help us!!! But the minute we called Glen's we were met with personable attention, an abundance of information and an affordable option to update our garage door. Now, to be fair, Glen's represents and works with the Amarr line which is economical but not high end, so that may have been some of the timing and cost difference. However, this fit our needs and budget perfectly. Also, the other contractors told us we were required to switch out our motor and mechanics, while Glen's said that was up to us as long as our current motor was functional. We were sent a long list of client addresses to go and see the work ourselves, which gave us a good cross section of ideas and proof of good work. They gave us great feedback on preparing for a new door (we were also getting the house painted). We finally purchased a new door and all new mechanics and got a great deal. It took longer to get the door installed than expected due to unexpected manufacturer delays, but we got our new door and we love the look and upgraded functionality. We had a few mechanical issues about a month after installation but they immediately sent their team to come and address those, literally the day we called, and they resolved it quickly. When it comes to service, attention, and value, Glenn's really hits the top of the mark on all fronts!!! I highly recommend them!!! read more

Recently bought a new house. I was looking to get a tune up of our garage doors. The business cards for Glen's garage door service were provided by the previous owner. I contacted them 3 separate times to schedule an appointment. I was told I would receive a call back and never heard back from them. This is not the way i would expect to treat a potential customer. I would hope for some type of professional courtesy and get at least a call back to tell me they are no longer taking on new customers (if that is true). I am trying to help out small businesses since I know in these times everyone has been hurting. So I am just disappointed. But I have already contacted another company to help me. read more

Clearly explained repairs and service required, and effectively made the case that I needed to install heavier torsion springs (was very difficult to manually raise door when power is out... which happens frequently in east Ramona). Serviced & repaired door. Made appointment for next day to install springs. Arrived on time and quickly installed springs. Applied previous day's minimum payment to cost of spring install thereby saving me meaningful bucks. Garage door rolls smoother & quieter and is now much more easy to manually raise). Yesterday one of the two torsional springs on our 22 year old garage door snapped in two, causing the door to not open without a great deal of manual effort. The spring broke in the early evening yesterday so after doing some research I called Glen's Garage Doors first thing this morning. Based on their reviews they were the first company I called and was not disappointed. Ross quoted what I considered a reasonable price and said they could be at my house by noon today, which they were. Both the broken spring and the other 22 y.o. spring on this door were quickly replaced, the door serviced and it now opens and closes like new. I had a door that was really old and broke. Within a day of calling them they came out and I had a quote. They then ordered the door, being it was a certain color and type I needed no one carries it anywhere, cut it to the custom size required and installed it in a fraction of the time everyone else wanted and at a great price! I was having intermittent problems with my garage door opener. I called Glen's Garage Doors in the morning and they came out later that afternoon wearing masks and gloves much to my relief. Within 15 minutes they diagnosed the problem with my door opener and gave me some recommendations on how to proceed with repairs. During the inspection of my garage door Ross found a couple of broken door hinges. Without question he went to his truck and brought back two hinges and replaced the two broken hinges. Ross and his crew were both courteous and professional and I won't hesitate to call on him when I'm ready to replace my garage door.
