State-of-the-art facilities and a reasonably-priced family plan. The staff were very knowledgeable.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! I have been scared to death of dental work for YEARS. But I…read moreknew I eventually needed to go and get some long overdue work done. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. I'll keep my mouth healthy at Atlanta Dental Spa-Highlands and Dr. Gandhi is my dental guy going forward! (Also thanks to Tiffany who helped answer my financial questions!)

AVOID. Dr. Nnenna…read moreOgbuehi (Dr. O) and Grant Park Dental (owned by Private Equity) provided me with the single worst healthcare experience of my life (and I'm a physician so I understand the doctor patient relationship from all sides). Her bedside manner is atrocious - she never introduced herself to me just walked in and stuck her hands in my mouth, never looked me in the eye, barely spoke to me, didn't explain what she was doing to me - then proceeded to give me 3 fillings that I didn't need. I had 3 other dentists including my previous 2 dentists who I'd seen recently review all my X-rays and photos and they all agreed - I did not need any fillings. I'd never had a cavity or filling in my life and then walked in there and got 3 in one day. I made the mistake of trusting her - which is my biggest regret. If you look through reviews you will see a pattern of Dr. O and GPD over treating patients. This place is owned by private equity - and I fear only cares about their bottom line - not your dental health. But Dr. O took an oath - and no matter who she works for she should not let them dictate how she cares for/takes advantage of patients who trust her with their care. Since the 3 unnecessary fillings she gave me I've dealt with chronic pain from those teeth (I had no pain previously) and had to spend money and time going to other dentists to fix the work she did. This experience really traumatized me - it felt like such a bodily betrayal - and has made it difficult for me to trust new dentists. It was so horrific I submitted a complaint to the dental board of Georgia about the care I received from Dr. O and GPD. So that's all to say...STAY AWAY.

December 17, 2020 I…read morewent in for a cleaning, my second one of the year but the last cleaning was 8 months ago. It was my first time in this office. I moved here in March when things pretty much shut down. So it took me a while to settle in and finally take care of my routine dental visit. This dentist wouldn't perform the regular cleaning which was included in my insurance, said "it simply could not be done," but insisted on a $1200 deep cleaning, which my insurance as of the this visit did not include. No cavities were found. A little bone loss, commensurate with my age in one area. Generally healthy teeth. I had provided x-rays from my last dentist, and yet, the office took their own, which was included in my Insurance, so that was Ok, but still. Further, while filling out my initial paper work, and no one else was in the waiting room, and no other customers were waiting room, and I was wearing a mask, I was still asked to complete my paper work in my car. I did as told and said nothing. Here common sense did not prevail. Perhaps the office is simply following CDC guidelines but there ought to be some caveats...."sir, we understand it's raining and 39 degrees outside, if another patient enters the waiting room would you mind going to your car because it is off limits afterall?" "No I won't mind, thank you for your understanding!"Finally, compared to other hygienists, I believe this one was a little rough during "pocketing" procedures. A gentle touch is much appreciated. It's not my first rodeo in a dentists office. Let's go over the essentials: are they following Covid guidelines. Check. Was everyone professional? check. Did they provide the service of a cleaning ? no. Was this just an exploratory mission? check. Did they help the patient ? No. Did the dentist receive my copy and perform the cleaning as per my insurance ? yes they got the copay and no they did not provide cleaning. In summary: Professional offices (doctors, lawyers, accountants) need to strike a balance with the fragility of the economic circumstances of their clients / patients and the responsibility they owe them. In the current environment, economic means are scarce, and if the patient or client has an immediate need, provides the means for consideration, then it's incumbent to deliver that and compromise on what's "best in class." This office to me seems to be more the same and out of touch with the current economic crisis that's befallen us all. I am my self a professional who is putting in extra time with my clients that I am not being compensated for simply to put them in a better position. It irks me that some professionals simply don't understand the "larger picture." While I did reschedule my appointment I am having serious reservations about returning.

I first started coming here because they are the closest dentist to where I live (Kirkwood). And as…read morelong as I live in Kirkwood and my insurance covers it, I will continue going to this office. To preface, I've had various issues with my front teeth since college due to an accident - 3 of my front teeth broke. Since then, I've had some level of insecurities due to the size and shape of my teeth. Before coming here, I did Invisalign 5 years ago, but my teeth looked awkward because of the shape of the crowns I had before the aligners. They did not look visibly straight and had weird alignment/angle issues. Since then, I've had my crowns replaced, and I'm finally at a point where I'm genuinely happy with how my teeth look. It's truly thanks to this office. Dr. Ahmadi has been my primary dentist for the last few years and has been one of the best dentists I've ever had. He listens to my concerns, answers any questions I have in a way I can understand (aka, doesn't use dental jargon lol) . He explains what is being done and why it's being done. A great guy all around. I had an emergency early November. One of my crowns (that was done at another dentist office) broke suddenly in several pieces. While their lab was creating a crown, Dr. Meshkian and Mayleen (I think that was her name, I'm so sorry if it's not) created a temporary tooth to place in the gap. I nearly cried because it looks so good while I waited for the real crown. I did not want to walk around with a gap in my front teeth for a month. Once the crown was delivered, Dr. Ahmadi finished placing it and helped scan my teeth for a new retainer. I swear I've seen the staff more in the last few months than I have some of my friends lol. But the staff is friendly and welcoming. I am genuinely so appreciative of all the work and attention they've done for me.

When I told them I made 5 prior attempts to make an appointment they just responded "oh". When I came in I was standing at the locked door at 8:55am for my 9am. I woman came up, I told her the door was locked, she said why is the door locked my appointment is at 9am. I said mine as well. 6 people entered when they unlocked the door, they were all checked in, except me. Understandable cause I was a new patient. They asked for my DL & insurance card, then told me there was a difference on my birthdate and if I didn't call and clear it up I would have to pay the full amount. So I called, I cleared it up, and when I told them someone in their office was also calling to verify. So I am thinking I am not paying the full amount after all that. The dentist repaired my chipped tooth, he was kind. When he took me to the desk to pay, she said $282. I was taken aback, I asked how much it was and how much the insurance paid for and she said it was $408 and the insurance pays for 80%??? $282 is 70% of $408??? Make it make sense, the math is not matching. Then I asked for some tooth floss. She told me the tooth floss was "on the other side" and they didn't have any. Then asked me if I wanted to get my teeth cleaned. I was like might as well if that is the only way I can get free tooth floss and I am already here. I asked how much the insurance paid for teeth cleaning. She said 100%. So go back and the assistant starts poking around at my gums, sticking me until it hurts, this happened at least 5xs. Then tells me I needed x-rays prior to the cleaning. They already took one x-ray of my chipped tooth. I was adamant that I didn't want any more x-rays. I have a broken wrist and I have been getting MRIs, X-rays, and CT scans over the past six weeks and I didn't want anymore radiation exposure. She was going on & on, about insurance needs x-rays and she can't clean my teeth without them. So she did 4 more. The dentist came in and was poking around my gums without hurting me one time. Then they said I needed a deep clean, and they needed more x-rays. I said NO! They didn't clean my teeth, they sent me back to the desk to make another appointment and I then asked again for the tooth floss, this time they went to the other side to get it. When I received my explanation of benefits from the insurance they only billed for $282, not $408. So I called yesterday at 12:48pm and spoke with Susana when I asked to speak with someone in financial. I was told I would get a refund check to pick up at the office when they get paid. During this call a person was rudely interrupting saying everything was explained to me about the billing at my appointment, which is a lie. She also said I didn't get my x-rays cause I didn't want to pay for them, also a lie. I kept asking who is that? Who is speaking? Susana was avoiding answering me, and finally said after me repeatedly asking who is that other person on the phone, she said the office manager. I said what is their name? She said Ariel. I told them I did not like her tone, and I hung up. Who puts someone talking about finances and billing on speaker phone? What kind of ignorant behavior is that from an "office manager"? I later got two missed calls from the office and a text saying they had a refund check for me. I feel bad for the dentist, because he was nice and polite, but he needs to hire a new office team, because they are unprofessional, unorganized, rude and ignorant. No one should have to put up with that. And what kind of place makes you pay full amount up front when they have already verified your insurance. WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER. Today I called them and asked to speak with the manager, Susana answered the phone again, said they were not available and mentioned the check. I asked for the manager to call me. Her response was "I don't know why, she is going to tell you the same thing." I said this is about the call yesterday and she says "that was the manager" as if she doesn't owe me an apology. I highly doubt anyone is going to follow up. Just rude!
