Winton has an MD in addition to his DDS, and is exceedingly well trained. He has a calming demeanor, spends a lot of time explaining what surgical procedure needs to be done, and why. And how he will proceed. He truly reminded me of some of the physician researchers at the NIH who present information in an easy to understand manner, almost like a professor . After a few weeks of healing from the extraction and bone graft I returned for a follow-up visit to have my stitches removed. Again, he was very patient and explained everything he saw and what I should expect. I was pleased with the "vibe" of the office, his front office staff as well as the RN who assisted him during the extraction procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Winton.

We had a few consultations with different doctors, but I really appreciated how Dr Winton spent a nice amount of time with us during the consultation, answering each and every question we had. Also, his office was clean, helpful, friendly, efficient, and made us feel very at ease. The other doctors literally spent about a couple of minutes with us and didn't seem overly concerned about making a connection with the patient or answering questions. They allowed us to pick up his prescriptions the week of his surgery, so we weren't scrambling afterwards to get the meds ready. The day of surgery went off without a hitch, and Dr. Winton was very pleased with the results. My son came out of anesthesia, feeling good and ready to go home. He had a very low pain level, and was doing everything he was supposed to do post surgery. The next morning he noticed one stitch that was bothering his tongue, so we went back this morning to have it trimmed. They immediately fit him in and took care of the stitch. It has only been about 36 hours since he had the surgery, but my son has zero swelling and is feeling amazing! Thank you Dr Winton for taking such good care of my child. This place takes such good care of them and they're patient with them. Me? It took 4 years to get back in the chair! All the dental hygienist that my kids have had have all been wonderful but the one who took care of me was aggressive and rough and hurt. Also she came off as uncaring and rude. I'm a big baby so in no way did she try to comfort me until they were tears coming out of my eyes that I had to ask for numbing for the deep cleaning she was rushing through. I had a filling that popped out and the Dr did it perfectly! Didn't hurt and I felt safe. No crying that time! Just maybe some happy tears because now I can get braces!

My father is a dentist and looked at the X-rays and explained that I needed one for buildup under the gum lines and this was several years ago, he also explained they are only necessary under certain circumstances and originally I fit that, again 2-3 years ago. I was 52 at the time and never needed one while my dad practicing until I was 45, this is NOT normally needed at all. Anyways I explained to them I'd do a regular cleaning and had to argue with them to get that. I go in and the hygienist says I was scheduled for a deep cleaning. Dr. Jakob squeezed me into his busy schedule after I suffered over a four-day holiday weekend with lightning-bolt pain radiating across the entire right side of my mouth. Seeing my obvious distress, he immediately gave me four shots to get the pain under control--a wonderful start. My case was complicated. I had a single tooth with four calcified, narrowed roots that required complex root canal therapy. Dr. Jakob worked with determined, gentle precision. He has an incredible calming manner that helped me to relax. I felt like a team player working in tandem with him and his lovely assistant, Tanya. In fact, Dr. Jakob's entire hand-picked staff is the absolute epitome of empathy. As someone who is both claustrophobic and dental-phobic, I never imagined I could get through an ordeal like this. He refused to prescribe the appropriate pain killers to get me past the second day. I explained to him that is his job, to know the possible pain level, to get out ahead of it, prescribe appropriately and judiciously. I am not a child, I can conduct myself appropriately also. He is not warm, he is cold with a facade. Bathroom is a 10 minute walk, and he does not tell you that you must spend even more money to get the cap put on the root canal. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Office looks great, staff is young and without any life experience, but nice. Dr Kaner was incredibly dismissive throughout this whole process and made various insensitive comments. At the start of the procedure I was struggling to breathe due to the anxiety I felt and asked if I could have a minute before the mouth pieces went on. Dr Kaner's response to this was "I just gave you a minute," before shoving the mouth pieces inside my mouth, followed by "you got braces you've done this before." The lack of empathy caused me to feel more scared and begin to cry. Dr. Kaner comment to my discomfort was, "you're gonna have to push a baby out between your legs" This behavior is extremely unprofessional and inhumane, especially for a medical provider. So a client of mine mentioned to visit Dr. Cohen. In all honesty I always was skeptical of these whitening treatments but I decided to give it a shot. Spoiler alert ....Boy was I wrong. The treatment took around 2 hours and the technician helping me was so delicate and patient. I was very comfortable during the treatment and got to watch a movie. They took before and after photos and it was a night and day difference. That same week I received my first compliment ever on my white smile.
