I stopped in a few weeks ago with my wife and kids. Even though we're not a "traditional"family the staff was welcoming and helpful. My kids happily got some donuts and a cake pop and my wife got a poppy seed roll. Being gluten free, I didn't even bother looking too close since I knew I couldn't get anything anyway. The place smelled divine and there were a ton of different options to choose from. From cakes to pies, breads, cookies and everything in between. Went as the snowstorm of the century was starting, the snow was coming down but they had plenty of delicious challah to load up on. I had left the house in search knowing we would be snowed in. I was visiting family on from Florida and was on a hunt not really knowing where I was going. They were literally the only bakery open and boy was I fortunate to luck into this place!! How is it possible that this bakery does not have a Yelp page? I was brought here by a friend who keeps kosher. And I was in heaven. The second you walk in, the smell of fresh bread and melty chocolate envelops you. There are racks of freshly baked challah, pull-apart rolls, multigrain loaves, and much more. They also have challah rolls mini danishes. The reason I came here was because I love babka. I've had babka from Breads Bakery in Manhattan as well as a couple places in Williamsburg, but Glicks Bakehouse far surpassed anything I've had before. Staring at that wall of babka made me a bit weak in the knees. I was having a hard time choosing between babka and the kokosh, but I ultimately went with the kokosh. Just like the babka, the kokosh came in either chocolate or cinnamon (there's a third, but I don't remember what it was). I went with chocolate and it was amazing. It's much denser than babka, but that intensifies the chocolate. It was delicious from the first bite, but then I started cutting off pieces and heating them up in the microwave for 10 seconds and it brought it to another level. Once you heat that chocolate up a bit, the complexity of flavors comes through and the entire kokosh takes on a really nice texture. I also had a mini challah as well as some of the mini danishes. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to come back here for more. They sell a black and white bundt cake as well a cake made up of individual mini babkas stuck together in a ring (with both chocolate and cinnamon choices in each ring). And their pull-apart bread looked fantastic. I want everything! It took every ounce of restraint to not include a Seinfeld quote in this review. read more

What a great addition to the five towns and surrounding areas. The bakery is nut free and has such a large selection of classic bakery and more interesting baked goods. The owners work tirelessly to ensure your needs are met and the products are fresh and delicious. I've been shopping by them for years and have always found the products to be wonderful and easy to work with when ordering or arranging pickups when I'm out of town. Keep up the great work and if you haven't made a trip yet I would highly recommend them from a coffee and Danish to a birthday cake. read more

I decided to try out this bakery after a yoga session that was next door and as soon as I walked in it felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. i honestly haven't tried their product and should have just walked out of the store. As a person who loves bakery, I'm disappointed in the management and the staff that works there. they should know better, as a black-women I would not recommend their services. read more

So I've been buying from this place for a while, up until reading the ingredients! Omg this is like poison to the body. I recommend everyone reading and googling each ingredient in these cakes and cookies being made by this bakery! Taste good but not worth getting cancer in the future for this. I have loved Glick's challah for years. I was excited to give them my business. However I had a terrible customer service experience. I caution you before you shop here. I called to resolve my issue 4 times and was put on hold for more than 15 minutes each time. I then was pushed into voicemail. I left an angry voicemail that was never returned. My husband went in person to resolve the situation but was treated terribly. He finally yelled for the manager who came right away and made the situation right. This could have been handled so simply. Instead they made it into the kind of situation that drives customers away. Doubt I will ever go back. Long time customers should not be treated this way! read more

Glicks created the most delicious and hysterical cake for a friends birthday. Reasonable priced photo cake, and they even added yellow piping around to match the photo sent over. The cake itself was an amazing chocolate pudding flavor. Would recommend 100%. read more

I was very dissapointed with Glicks, a business I frequented until the incident I am about to recount occured (6/19/2022). I ordered a cake for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah over a month in advance of the event. I had hired someone to pick it up the day of the party. When the help arrived to pick up the cake, the workers at Glick's could not find the cake. My daughter's Bat Mitzvah did NOT have cake. I managed to get refunded the next day but I was still out the money for the help I hired and at the end of the day, the cake was worth more than an monetary amount. The help was less than kind. I would not recommend Glick's for your important events. read more

Nice new modern kosher bakery in the five towns. Very spacious and the staff is very friendly. However not a gigantic selection compared to the size of the building. But what they have actually tastes pretty good. I would recommend trying this place for your bakery needs read more

I have made a lifestyle change when it comes to making food choices. The worst place to be, is in a delicious smelling bakery, where everything looks & smells heavenly. So I chose the fat free muffin! What a surprise! If that is what their fat free muffin tastes like, I can only imagine what everything else tastes like! Bought a strawberry shortcake there today. It looked great but rather then the frosting being creamy and smooth it was dry and brittle and the taste was off. The frosting broke into a million little pieces when it was cut. Instead on nice pieces of frosted cake we end up with a piece of cake with a pile of bad tasting frosting on the side. For the frostly to crumble like that suggests the cake was old- very disappointed read more
