I just had the most nightmarish experience. I had made a plan to ship my car with Rudy from GAT and minutes after getting off the phone, I asked to cancel. He said, "I'll put it on hold in case you change your mind. I won't cancel it.", which is fine I guess. I decided to go with another company and had my pick up the same day Rudy calls back at 6am and is asking if my car was ready to ship. I missed it and called back half asleep thinking "They already texted my husband that they're picking up the car". I was like "yeah, it's ready" thinking it was the carrier I decided to go with and he started talking about the window of pick up which then made me ask "Who's this???" And he said "Rudy with GAT". I told him "I decided to go with another carrier" to which leads him to argue with me. This man argues with me for 7-8 minutes about "WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE?" and becomes unhinged and very threatening. Here's some nuggets from him: "HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY?" "LET ME TALK TO YOUR HUSBAND!" *threat about charging me for some cancellation fee among other threats when I asked him to cancel and HE put it on hold* "TELL ME WHY YOU WENT WITH SOMEONE ELSE" After minutes I was absolutely fed up and asked to speak to his supervisor to which he says: "YOU DON'T LET ME SPEAK TO YOUR HUSBAND SO WHY SHOULD I LET YOU SPEAK TO MY SUPERVISOR" Which is incredibly misogynistic and unhinged. I said "My husband isn't in charge of me, your supervisor is." He then proceeds to pretend that he is the supervisor suddenly and then I have to tell him "Listen, I can call back and speak with someone else and then get to your supervisor that way, RUDY" and he said "Good luck". After a couple of minutes, he starts telling me "It's fine, we'll cancel, but your car is posted on a board and they're trying to find someone to pick it up so they lied. Hopefully nothing happens to your car and it actually gets picked up." To which I said "Rudy, that is so untrue it's insane to even say something like that" or something to that effect. He starts going off on me again, which I hang up on because obviously I'm hitting a wall. I call back "another location" (they're all routed to Burbank, CA it seems) and then he instantly answers instantly and says "Manager" and I said "No, it's not. This is Rudy and you answered as fast as you could and now you're pretending to be the manager?" And he was like "no I'm the manager." Guys. Insane. It's 6 am. He finally transfers me to his supervisor and we have a reasonable conversation. The supervisor seems to take Rudy's side and tried to justify his behavior, which made me even more uncomfortable. I appealed to him as a person who worked customer service for 15 years and told him that Rudy should not be doing what he's doing. PLEASE talk to him. I feel unsafe with my information being accessible to someone that is clearly suffering from anger issues. Also the impersonating the manager?! He gave me his word he'd have a conversation with him so I really hope he follows through. He seemed perfectly reasonable, if not a little biased to a friend/coworker which I get. To summarize and to answer Rudy's question. THIS is why I went with another company. This exact type of behavior and I don't recommend anyone else pursues any relationship with this company. This was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had in my 35 years of life. I placed an order and could not receive a confirmation for my pick up date till the night before after pestering Art, the employee who took my order. He would tell me he would get back to me with updates and never once called me. I had to call every time. When calling the manager Helen, who I wanted to complain to, who is also EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional told me "maybe if you pay more we can find you a driver" when my order was already over a grand. I received my car today and the driver left it completed damaged with his oil/tar hands all over my roof and said "he didn't do it" when he never marked that it was there to begin with on the inventory paper BECAUSE IT WASN'T. I've been calling the company all day and everyone has been so rude saying they don't know how they can help me because they don't know who to believe when I provided before and after pictures of my vehicle. GAT cargo not insured About January of 2023, I received a shipping estimate from Sofie at Global Auto Transportation (GAT) to transport a Polaris off-road vehicle from Oregon to Southern California. On Tues, May 30, my Polaris was picked up by an enclosed triple-axle trailer towed by a newer model Ford Superduty (the Seller gave me photos of the Ford tow vehicle and it's license plate). So far so good. On Weds afternoon, a day after pickup, I received a text from the transporter "my driver got delayed on the road" followed by a photo of a blowout on a SINGLE axle trailer! The message caption read "Because of this, my driver is late, sorry". I pressed for details to alleviate my concerns. "No spare tire??" I asked. "No." came the reply. At 7pm I messaged "Is it fixed yet?" no reply. At 8pm I messaged "Where did your breakdown happen?" no reply. Then that night, at 1am, the transporter messaged "In Oregon, everything is already fixed, the driver is on the way". Then at 10am i received the message "Hi, can we deliver Polaris today in evening around 9-20-11pm?" "yes" I replied. But later that day there was an excuse for a new delay. Delivery would be the next day, Friday. My concerns grew a lot. Could this be a "faked" delay to give the "driver" or an accomplice time to orchestrate a phony theft of tow vehicle and trailer? A new $50k Polaris could be easily sold no-questions-asked in Northern Mexico to wealthy drug cartels with money to burn. Was this all to allow time for some Polaris joy-riding? How many "fake" reasons for delay should I tolerate before it would be too late for authorities to do anything? Was my Polaris covered if the driver's rig were reported stolen? I looked at the emailed estimate from GAT and saw cargo Insurance of up to $250,000. I called GAT to request Proof of Insurance (POI). Sofie didnt have it. This is when I learned my vehicle was not actually in GAT's care, but rather a 3rd party's. I asked Sofie to send me POI. She contacted the transporter and then emailed me an insurance document for a CHEVY TAHOE! So I called again. "I want POI for the actual Ford tow vehicle immediately!" I told her I would place a negative review on YELP if I didnt receive an accurate true POI, and it was both her obligation and in her interest to provide it. I told her a negative YELP review telling this story would hurt her job security and GAT's business. The transporter and Sofie offered a $300 discount on the remaining $750 I was to pay the driver. I felt I was being offered a bribe to keep quiet. Well, no POI was provided. My Polaris arrived safely on Friday afternoon, in the enclosed triple-axle trailer towed by the Ford Superduty photographed by the Seller. The next week I again asked Sofie for a correct Proof of Insurance. It is now 7 weeks later, and I never received any proof the Ford pickup and its cargo were insured. For future vehicle shipping, I will only select a carrier who advises me in writing they will provide Proof of Insurance for the transporting vehicle and proof cargo THEFT is covered BEFORE picking up the cargo. I will insist the carrier agree to refund my deposit if the driver/transporter is rejected by the Seller because the driver's POI didn't match what I received. I will give a copy of the POI to the cargo Seller and require Seller to only give cargo to the transporter/driver after confirming POI matches the driver's vehicle. I contacted Seattle Car Shipping (SCS) and was connected to Anthony of Global Auto Transportation, I believe one of the owners of the Seattle site. I was very pleased with his communication, and he didn't seem to be annoyed by the endless amount of questions that I had for him. I had never had my car shipped, so I was nervous and I was told so many different things by many places, but something about Anthony kept me calm, and I trusted the reviews on Yelp for SCS. I liked the quote Anthony gave me, and how calm and sure he was of their business. He also replied through email very quickly. There is a direct deposit, and it was reasonable and taken out immediately. I also kept in touch with a very nice lady named Elina C. She was a logistics coordinator and clarified that I'd need to stay in contact with a driver named Igor of Vyrado Logistics in Puyallup. Again, I was a little confused in this whole process being new to this business, but Elina reassured me that nerves are normal and that they'd ship my car in about five days. I was shocked because every other place said that it'd take about 7-10 days, and one place even said two to six weeks, which is odd if they can drive hundreds of miles a day, and Detroit is about 2300 miles. The funny thing is that the ones who said it'd take longer said it'd be safer, but it was more expensive and it'd take longer than what GAT said. I kept in touch with Igor, he was nice to allow me to put a lot in my 2010 Civic (more than the usual amount with no extra fee), took pictures, gave me electronic forms to keep, and then he was off with my car on the carrier. It's nice that they do business door to door. He was also accurate with the times he gave me on pickup, and kept in touch well through phone. He let me know I could pay after he dropped off the car, and that cash was preferable. I forgot that GAT said that the carrier who comes decides what amount I need to pay in, so I called GAT right away and told them I was confused why I needed to pay in cash? They reminded me that again, it's up to carrier, and Igor was flexible also mentioning I could pay cashier's check, money order, or credit card but it'd be an extra 5% by card. I told him I'd have the cash ready. I just received my car about an hour ago, and we are all surprised at how it got here in a timely manner, just five days! It took a little bit just because he had to take the cars off to get my car down safely, but I'd rather have him do it in his own time and well, instead of rush and risk damage. He was very careful with the other cars too, and told me I could wait inside because it was chilly out here. After he was done putting the other cars back, I thanked Igor, and I am overall very pleased with GAT. He must have sensed my urgency and concern about transporting shipping my car, but he put my mind at ease. Used them to move cross country from PA to CA- the actual company they used was Nikas Transportation. This was not the first time I had shipped a car- last time I had shipped from AZ to PA and had no issues. They demanded $200 on pick-up, saying that the 100 pound limit was reached (not true because we had weighed everything). When we refused their services, a RANDOM female, who seemed to be related to the driver, argued with us on the phone. When I emailed Michael for an official receipt of the $200, there was no answer. Before the car was shipped, he was very prompt. The one positive thing was that the car arrived early. The negative thing was that the back bumper and side were scratched up pretty badly from the trip. Overall, very disappointed with this dishonest company- damaged car, hidden "charges," and poor communication. Never responded to picking up our car. Took a deposit never returned it. They could not seem to get it together to pick up our car when called to do so twice within 6 months. The only reason I called for a pick up a second time was because I had a deposit on file they refused to return from the first go round. They couldn't get the car towed in three weeks the first time...the second time I gave them a 60 day window and they still couldn't come through on the date that was agreed upon and then stopped communicating when asked for another date. Had a Corolla shipped from Irvine to San Jose. Arrival for pickup was promised to be between 8am and 12pm with a 1 hour prior call, but driver was late and did not call until we reached out to Global to confirm it ourselves less than one hour before noon. Due to other obligations later in the day, pickup rescheduled for next day. Normally this would not be a problem, I get things happen sometimes. However, with the rescheduled pickup on Friday, the new arrival was promised to be Sunday of that weekend. On Sunday, car had not arrived, no call from the driver or Global as well as a courtesy. We're in the military, so this is for military people thinking about using this company. We worked with Sophie, we told her of our military status, and that our vehicle will be on the base at a friend's house, because we had to report to our next duty station and wouldn't be there with the vehicle. Sophie, the representative said that was fine. We gave her the address, scheduled a pickup date window. On the day of the pickup, the trucking company contacts us, explaining he can't get on the base, and could we have someone bring the vehicle outside the base, none of which was told to us was going to happen, and when we tried to contact Sophie by phone, she wouldn't answer our call. We did get a text from her, telling us about a conversation that NEVER took place, she was untruthful. So if you're in the military and have to do a conus move, think twice before using this company. Shipped with this company a few times since 2011. This last time in 2018 was by far the worst. I just can't recommend whatsoever. Rude to deal with, missed two days of work and car never arrived. Just an overall poor experience with poor communication. The first few times I used Elena and she was great. This last time was a male and he was definitely not as helpful. If you must use this company then go with her otherwise look for another company. I just read the 'business comment'. So since I signed a paper that is okay to not deliver my car in a timely manner or where I paid to have it delivered? It's okay to be rude on the phone? I shipped my car from Seattle WA to Lawrenceville GA. The day my car was delivered, I noticed there are several new scratches. I asked the driver how he gonna resolve this. He told me to contact Global Auto Transportation. Fine, I called Anthony several times, he did not pick up the phone. The driver then asked for money in full. The point is, if I paid him in full, who gonna responsible for these scratches. This Russian driver drove my car back to his truck without my permission. I quickly called 911 since this is my property. I recorded a video as he drove my car load back to the truck. He opened my car door and started attacking me. Wow, really? As usual reaction, I stepped back to avoid. Unfortunately, I stopped the video to call back 911 to arrive ASAP. When the police came, the police said my video was not enough to prove the driver's attack. One hr later, I called Global Auto Transportation & spoke to Anthony. I did not really concern about the scratches anymore; rather, it was about the driver attitude. Anthony thought I concerned about the scratches and said, I needed to deal with the driver. The driver had his own insurance. Wow, I even had no idea who these guys were, since the pick-up guy and the delivery guys were 2 different persons. I had no contract with them except the phone no. Wow, is that the way your company do business? Luckily, my car had just a few minor scratches. What if it was a significant damage? Who will be responsible? The drivers? who I only had his phone? Hopefully my review can help in weighing your options, and so you know what you might be able to expect. In short, I'm rating them 4 stars because they weren't able to fully provide the services they promised they would. Broken down, there were three main problems I had with the experience: PROBLEM #1: Poor communication. The driver would not return any of the 5 calls and messages that I left. The only two times he reached out were once when he was picking up the car, and once when he was arriving to deliver the car. In between Point A and Point B, he was unreachable, which is not reassuring when he's responsible for transporting something so valuable. A quick message from the road that everything on-track would've set some of my nerves at ease. PROBLEM #2: Late pickup/late delivery. While they do not promise specific dates, which is acceptable, it was not acceptable for my car to be picked up 3 days later than promised and delivered 2 days later, as well. My rep had assigned the driver in an hour, and then he was very apologetic when picking up, so I'm assuming the fault was on him - he tried to blame, "many late customers," and I know there are a lot of uncontrollable forces on the road. That being said, this was not within reason. PROBLEM #3: Car condition. The car arrived in relatively filthy condition, due to it being shipped in an open carrier. To be completely honest, I barely recognized it at first - even the inside was dirty, with mud all over the leather interior. A quick wipe-down at a rest stop before arrival would've sufficed and gone a long way, especially after being so late to begin with. The bottom line is: this is a tough job to do perfectly, with all of the potential variables outside of the company and drivers' control. Frankly, you've just got to go with whoever does the job better and without damaging the vehicle. In this case, I was ultimately pleased with the outcome because the car arrived unscathed, albeit dirty. While stressful and a roller coaster of emotions, the whole ordeal is over and my car was successfully moved from one place to another in one piece. OVERALL, the experience was okay. I wasn't sure what to do calling Art Z he is not interested talking to me no more leaving him massages texting him he not answering or replying to my text I decided to call the driver again and again finally he picked up and he informed me that the car is in Los Angeles hell deliver it on Wednesday November the 24 2021at 2:00PM and there is no communication between Art Z and the driver or my self anyway drove again for 2 hours on Wednesday to take position of delivery so I'm waiting there from 1:00Pm to 5:pm I called the driver again and he informed me that he'll deliver at 9:30pm at 7:00 pm he called me and said he is tired he can't deliver today hell deliver it Thursday November 25th and I had a flight on the November the 25th anyway they keep my car for another 8 day's Im not sure why but they did I called Art again and this time I told Art if I don't get my car in 2 day I will call Concord PD then I got a response from Art and said let me talk with driver so after I got position of delivery I noticed they stole the fan actuator all the relay from the fuse box under the hood and all the fuses from the fuse box, so please please don't use this company I'll never do business with them again !!!!!!!!!! read more

Global Auto Transportation did a great job in getting a driver to delivery my daughters care to Klamath Falls, OR (which is not a very demanded area to schedule a transport to.) I had tried another company and after a week with no scheduled pickup, canceled that order and called GAT. They quoted me $1445, but gave us a $100 discount since the transport was for a military move. In less than 24 hours, they picked up the car. They told me it would take a week to get there from Texas and it arrived promptly as promised. GAT does have their own drivers, but we ended up having the car picked up by another independent driver that contracts with GAT and they did a superb job. Thank you so much, GAT!! read more

They quoted me a good price. They promised me a 3 day window for pick up and said it would take about 5 days to ship my car to TX. I had a very small window of time to pick up the car but didnt really care how long it would take to ship once my car was picked up. However, it took a couple extra days to pick my car up. Other than that small issue i had a great experience with them. Drop off was very quick and my car arrived very quickly, no scratches or dings. read more

Working with Global Auto Transportation has been a tremendous experience for me. I started off by contacting them for a quote. Their team was fast and courteous. I explained to them that I had a vehicle in a fairly rural location, and I was having some difficulty trying to find someone to drive so far outside of a major city to pick up my car for a long drive to the west coast. They gave me a fair quote and we scheduled a shipping date. The day the car was to ship, the driver arrived early, was kind and generally pleasant to deal with. He helped me feel at east about taking my car. The driver got the car loaded and secured in a short period of time (less than 20 minutes) and he also gave me his number for when we were to have the vehicle delivered in California. I attempted to contact the driver in Los Angeles to see what his ETA for delivery was, but it took him a while to return my calls and messages. This is understandable for anyone who has ever driven through Los Angeles during rush hour (or any time of the day for that matter). Once he did return my call, we met at the delivery location when he said he would be there. He arrived on time and my vehicle was in great condition. The belongings inside of my car made it across safely as well. There was a slight miscommunication about payment on the shipment (I wasn't told that he required cash), but after a quick trip to the bank, we got that sorted out and he unloaded the car for me. All-in-all I'm very happy with the choice that I made and the pricing and service that I received. They quotes almost $200 less than anyone else that I contacted. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future car hauling I may need. I would highly recommend them! read more

If you want to save wear and tear on your car instead of driving it interstate, or purchase a car hundreds/thousands of miles away and don't want the risk of it possibly breaking down when driving it back, go with an auto transport company. When going with an auto transport company, be sure to ask questions, specific questions, like will they have a specific location for pickup, or specify your vicinity and see if it's in their means. Things did not work out the way I planned even though I started thinking about the pickup process two weeks earlier. When the car arrived I was given 30 minutes notice to try to get to the delivery location. All would have been fine if I was told this upfront, but the car arrived undamaged, so ultimately that's what matters and I was happy, lol. :) read more

Pickup was a breeze, the driver showed up on time and was very efficient and nice to work with. Drop off was also timely, three business days after pickup. Cars were both in excellent condition. My complaint is the drop-off driver needed some people skills. He called the alternate number I provided and spoke to my mom briefly, so I called him back on my cell and said "hey you just spoke to my mom, you have my two cars, does this sound correct?" And he said "we weren't talking about your cars, we were talking about how you owe me money." Whoa! I let him know we already paid up front, he checked the paperwork (while driving, he said), and admitted he was mistaken. read more

Zero stars. Nope nope and nope! There is actually another yelp page that shows the real reviews of this company. Google search global auto shipping reviews and you will find out why you should not waste* your time, effort, and money. If you take any time to research them you will find out they are extremely unprofessional and horrible to deal with. I chose them based on the BBB rating and was completely disappointed. After having to phone call them last week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and over 5 phone calls to them today and not one single call returned, they cancelled the day they were supposed to pick up the car because I was upset. Apparently there was some confusion as to why I was upset after being told repeatedly a driver would be calling "tomorrow" and they never did. They very professionally will hang up on you "accidentally" when they don't want to deal with you. I was told three days in a row it would be "tomorrow" that the car would be picked up. Luckily I was able to find another company last minute and luck would have it they were cheaper. Run, run, run to anybody else. I would have paid an extra $1000 to avoid Arthur and this company. So thankful this was quickly resolved by another company. Since I'm unable to Reply to comment below: Please check your records. I was told on 3 separate days the vehicles would be picked up and they were not. I'm attaching pictures (removed by yelp due to complaint) of the several times I called just today and received NOT ONE SINGLE call back. I did not use profanity. I spoke as an upset customer in elevated tones. When I called back after being hung up on and actually in a calm tone asked for someone other than Arthur, I was hung up on. I called back twice more where the phone was picked up and hung up. Now instead of taking responsibility you're proving my point. Take my head go somewhere else. read more
