They brought us water, the menu and their chips with salsa. They also brought a spicier salsa upon request. We were going to order to go but when I saw they had queso fundido I had to order it and of course eat there as this is always best when immediately out of the oven. Well, that was disappointing and why I had to take away one star. The chorizo tasted and looked like it was from a can, and the queso, definitely not "real" cheese. We had to send it back, and thankfully our server was very gracious about it and took it off our check. Not only that, his friendly and attentive service did not change toward us. He kept checking up on us, recommended certain dishes and made sure drinks were to our liking and offering to change them if not. For dinner I got one of his recommendations, the shrimp fajitas and that was really good! Lots of roasted vegies, which I always love. On the side all the condiments: sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, chease and guace. Plus a side of delicious rice and refried beans. And, of course, warm tortillas. You can't see the bar from the dining room as you must walk through a door. The bar was nice with pads along the edge and hooks underneath to hang your purse. The fish was fresh and there was the perfect amount of breading (not too much). The straw fries were hot and yummy. I only ate half and took the rest home for dinner. There was a huge outdoor patio in the back. And both the dining room and patio had stages for live music. This spot had dive vibes but was super clean (even the bathroom).
