Cool stop for breakfast to break up our drive. Kinda in the middle of nowhere, full of quaint country charm, just like the name says. Just us and two regular local guys in there at the time. Server was sweet as could be, service was quick, food was great and prices were so reasonable! Cute and homey feeling decorations with lots of seating. Very clean. My wife and I are on an across the country trip and wanted to pretend we were Guy Fierie, so found this place to try. A gem in the countryside of northern Florida. Stopped in about 8:30 and our friendly server, Kylie, approached us and welcomed us with a smile and took our beverage order and off she went while we studied the menus. The prices were very attractive and when she returned, we were told of the nuances of the menus items and we proceeded to place our order. Not 8 minutes passed, and Kylie brought out our food, piping hot and attractively serve red. It all was tasty and just the right amount of food for us. This is a great find if you are driving down business I-10 through northern Florida. Friendly people serving good food. read more

Just had a late lunch here and it was GREAT! Tarra took really good care of us and was super friendly to first timers. They offer daily specials, including desserts. Must try this,place. I have been here quite a few times. Food is always delicious. Service is hit or miss, typically miss. Laid back ambiance. I tried to go for a late lunch (1:20pm) today, 3 cars in the lot, 5 seated tables, and every single other table was covered with dirty dishes and napkins. So I left to go to the store thinking "I'll just order to go and get it on my way back home". Well, tried to call about 30 times and kept getting a "user busy" signal. If you are in Wellborn this really is the only choice for a good meal. The building is eclectic country without a doubt. Omelets, burgers, country fried steak, even spaghetti and meatballs. The cheeseburger omelet is probably the most unique item on the menu. The country fried steak was not my favorite, the breading fell apart and the gravy was way too thin. The spaghetti dinner could feed a family. The burgers are huge and fresh. The apple cobbler was doughy and could have used more apples. The server is overworked when busy but stayed on top of everything. The cook is very efficient getting all our orders out at the same time. If you are in Wellborn this is the place. read more

Love trying local spots this is one not to be missed. Tarra ( hope I spelled it right) is out freakin standing. She made our experience perfect. We ordered biscuits and gravy , and french toast with crispy bacon. Yum all the way around. I also ordered the Ruben with Mac and cheese to go along with their banana pudding. I had beef liver smothered with gravy and onions with side salad and green beans. The beef liver was ok. It was soft and not over cooked however the gravy was very salty. The green beans had a funny taste. The coffee was warm and the taste was too strong. Quality not so good. Service was pretty good. read more

We had family visiting us in May from out of state and decided to take them here to eat, which was on a Sunday. 1st time coming here. Oh my....what a mistake! Although it could be a cozy small diner the tables were dirty and the more you looked around spiderwebs/dust were on the ceilings and walls. Only 4 people were there when we walked in. We sat and waited.....and finally was able to order the special for the day which was fried chicken. Later on, locals started coming in ordering fried chicken, as we heard them talk. After a very few orders were in, apparently they ran out of chicken which was their special for the day. Over time, we did receive our food. The sides were bland and did not have a homemade country taste at all. But this was not the main issue. Everyone, 5 of us, had raw chicken with evidence of blood in the thicker pieces. As we heard the waitress, she joked to the other guest, she obviously knew, saying she was behind and had ran out of chicken etc. As for getting refills on our drinks..... that didn't happen until we were getting ready to walk out and yes pay. We would never go back or recommend. They could have made us and everyone else sick! Maybe locals accept the uncleanliness due to there really isn't nothing else in this very small town, but serving raw chicken and having a filthy environment is unhealthy. When we were leaving we were asked was everything ok, was totally unacceptable. Food left on the plates should have answered that! The red/blood raw was obvious on the plates. So sad! read more

Stopped here on our ride through from North Carolina. What a great little spot! If you want country charm and good home cooked meal, you'll get it here! It was a welcomed treat after a long drive. If you are lucky enough to get a chance to eat at this restaurant, you have to try their Reuben Sandwich! It was amazing! My husband ordered their Cheeseburger (it, too, was fantastic) and our daughter had a really good breakfast sandwich! The atmosphere is great, the food is awesome with good portions, the servers are welcoming and prompt and their prices are very good! Anyhow, I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting really good food, great price with unbeatable service! We will definitely be back again! read more

Awesome place to stop and eat. 5 of us stopped on a long motorcycle ride and we were well treated and had awesome good food. I had the South Philly Chicken Cheese sub, a few huge salads and a well appreciated burger. Everyone was very happy. Great wait staff and they really are into making good food. Will be back for sure. Travelers on I-20 would do well to go to this fine restaurant instead of the McDonald's. What you find here is good old fashion American fare. The plates are big enough to handle any appetite. Try the liver and onions, the fish plate or the cheese burgers. I've had all of these. You won't be disappointed. read more
