Ask the Community - Global Entry Enrollment Center

Anyone have info on when appointments might become available? I've been checking for appointments at this location for months now and always says "no appointments available." I've called multiple times — no answer. Any info is much appreciated!

I am eager to share my experience. I also have been monitoring the appointment status for a long time. I never saw an appointment available at Boston (or Rhode Island) but I did read one review saying there could occasionally be an appointment… Read more

Over the years coming in and out of here I can tell they renovated some areas. Souvenir and gift shops offer a nice variety of tees and other seasonal items. SUPER TIP: The MBTA 66 Bus is FREE to and from the airport and will drop you in the heart of downtown and the Port of Boston! There's at least 15+ stops it makes and I'm sure there is 1 near where you want to go.

The terminal itself was clean, the bathrooms were spacious and tidy, and surprisingly there was never really a line for the restrooms while I was there. There were also plenty of food options throughout the terminal, although prices were about what you'd expect at any airport these days. There was also a decent-sized terminal bar that looked like a good place to kill time before a flight. Every airport staff member I interacted with was kind and helpful, which honestly makes a huge difference when traveling. I didn't use baggage claim on arrival, but checking bags on the way home was very easy and efficient, even with five checked bags. The only part that felt frustrating was security and navigating the terminal setup. The security line looked extremely long because of how much winding back-and-forth walking there was, even though the actual number of people didn't seem too crazy. Once I got to the checkpoint itself though, it moved quickly and the TSA staff were great. There's also some construction going on around the parking garage/roadway area, and I found the shuttle system a little confusing the first time around. Getting to the rental car facility was honestly kind of irritating because the shuttles weren't very clearly labeled. On the return trip back to the airport it made a lot more sense, so it was easier the second time. One thing travelers should know is that Terminal B is kind of split into two sections separated by the parking structure. Depending on your airline, you may end up in a completely different part of the terminal. I flew United, and if you accidentally got dropped off at the wrong side, you'd be in for a pretty long walk across the parking area to the correct gates. I believe American was on the opposite side. Overall though, the airport itself was clean, efficient, and staffed with friendly people. A little confusing the first time through, but definitely manageable once you understand the layout.

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgaiN.

It was super easy to get through this line and it moves pretty fast. When I tried to look at the regular line, it seemed orderly and fairly fast moving. This checkpoint is not modern like my home airport and I'm always surprised when they aren't all the same. The signage isn't that great and it was slightly confusing to get to PreCheck. I will agree with people when they say that CLEAR takes priority.

Our experience through Boston Logan International Airport's TSA security checkpoint in Terminal A…read morewas fast. Two of us used TSA PreCheck while another went through regular security. On a Sunday around 11:10am, all three of us were through security in a matter of minutes. I used PreCheck. There was a short line for PreCheck and no line for CLEAR. PreCheck and CLEAR had separate lines that led to the same place/agents. The only difference was people with CLEAR got priority over people with PreCheck. Therefore, airport staff allowed CLEAR members to cut ahead of the PreCheck line. It makes sense since CLEAR is more expensive and is supposed to be faster than PreCheck. My buddy and I got through PreCheck in about five minutes. If you travel with any sort of regularity, sign up for TSA PreCheck ($85 for 5 years) or Global Entry if you travel internationally ($100 for 5 years). The time savings and convenience are worth it. The programs are a better value now more than ever since they haven't increased in price in years. Along with the time you save, the convenience is you don't have to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, and light jackets. Some credit cards cover both TSA PreCheck and Global Entry enrollment fees. Examples include the Capital One Venture Rewards Card, the Bank of America Premium Rewards Card, and the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card. CLEAR is available at fewer airports, but is supposed to be the fastest. It costs $189 per year. Various American Express cardholders and Delta SkyMiles and United MileagePlus members can get CLEAR for free or at a discount. On this visit to Logan, we all flew Delta home (RDU and ATL). Terminal A at Logan is primarily used by Delta.
