If you're taking one of those shuttles from the Airport T stop, walk into the terminal and then follow the signs to take an escalator down. Plan on getting there ~20 minutes before your appointment time as you may actually be seen before your scheduled time. I had an 11AM appointment on a Tuesday, and I arrived there at 10:35AM and was barely in the waiting room a few minutes before my name got called. After some pictures and fingerprints, I was walking out at 11:45AM The main anxiety is just getting an appointment slot (if you're not doing this on arrival from an international flight). This is a review/hack to score your Global Entry appointments! As many know, appointments are hard to come by. Nowadays, I believed appointments are released on the first Monday of the month at 9 AM. There are paid services you can subscribe to for $30/month like Appointment Scanner. There are also free Twitter bots that capture appointments and auto release in their feed for you to subscribe to. I first subscribed to those free Twitter accounts, but still found myself to be too late for high demand centers like Boston Logan. By the time I log in after getting the alerts from Twitter, the open slot is already taken. So I changed my strategy. On certain days and times, I'm just logged in to the global entry site. I constantly refresh the Boston link to see if there is any last minute cancellation that shows up. And typically I only need to do this for a day or two. You don't need to be logged in for all hours of the day, just think about when people are likely to cancel their appointments (early morning planning for the day, lunch break, late night planning for the next day, etc). For Boston, I typically refresh the page around 6 AM, then again around 9 AM, lunchtime ish, and then again around 9 PM or 10 PM. The thing to note about cancellation is that you will want to make sure you can show up the next day or two. I've had times where I had to let go of a last minute cancellation open slot due to other obligations. Once you get the appointment, I recommend taking the public transportation since parking is so expensive. The office is currently located to the right side of Terminal E. When you first enter Terminal E, left side is international arrival area. You will see Dunkin' in the middle. To the right of Dunkin' is domestic baggage claim area. Keep walking and you will see signage for the global entry office. Once inside the waiting area, just sit down. The officers will periodically come outside to call out names based on their list. Make sure to bring your passport and two forms of ID (see their list for recommendation). Good luck! read more

I parked in Economy parking, and wasn't sure if there was a skybridge somewhere to walk over to Terminal E so I just took the shuttle which was quick. It took about 10 minutes to get to Terminal E. The shuttle drops you off right in front of the correct doors so I just walked in and the office was straight ahead. Parking is $8 for the first hour. Facing the airport the Global Entry Office is on the far right side - look for the signs that point in the direction. Go inside the office, and just sit down as there is no one to check you in. Someone will come out. He asked how can I help you, I told him I had an appointment and he escorted me in. Note: they do not accept walk ins. First thing he did was ask for my passport. Then he confirmed all of my information on file was correct, took my picture, took my fingerprints and I was done! Took about 5 minutes. I have a clean record so if you do as well the process should be fairly quick. He said I'll get my card in about 3 weeks. I asked the officer a tip for getting appointments. He said appointments become available in the beginning of the month for 2 months in advance. For example - in the beginning of May there will be July appointments that become available. If you're looking for an appointment sooner you have to check the website for any cancellations. I recommend checking everyday multiple times a day. Good luck! read more

Thanks to all the Yelpers who reviewed the Boston Global Enrollment Center prior to me! First off, before even setting foot at the Global Entry Enrollment Center, you're going to have to first submit your application for Global Entry ($100 non-refundable application fee) at: https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/ (tip: every time you sign in, you will receive a call with a code Once the application has been conditionally approved (they don't proactively inform you - you will have to check the website occasionally in order to find out; mine took just over a week), then you can then proceed to make an appointment, only to find out that the only available Global Entry Enrollment Center in Massachusetts is located in Terminal E at Logan International Airport. When I first tried to make an appointment, there weren't any to make. Talk about stress. You have to get your interview done within a certain period of time (was it a year?), afterwards your application expires and you'll have to reapply and pay a new fee. However, after a few weeks, I checked the appointment availability again, and lo and behold, there were options! I grabbed one quick, and the morning of my interview, I made sure that I got there with plenty of time to spare. I took the Blue line to the Airport Station, and from there hopped aboard one of the shuttle buses scheduled to stop at Terminals C and E. First stop, however, was at the Car Rental Center. In all, it was a 15+ min bus ride to Terminal E. Then I had to locate the Global Entry Enrollment Center which was down a level. It is down a hallway just past the Dunkin Donut. Walking around, it took me 10 min. With my tips, it should take you less. It is a blue walled waiting area with chairs and tables and outlets on each wall. Take a seat, and wait. People will sometimes come through the door in the corner. They've finished their interview. You are waiting for the uniformed worker, who comes out to call one or two names at a time. If you are hoping to be interviewed without an appointment, your chances are better in Vegas. If you are there to update your name or address, try to catch the guard's attention, since you'll need to be slipped in somehow. The interview process was pretty simple. My fingerprints were also be taken. I made an appointment online and was able to go at a reasonable time (not super late at night like I know a lot of people have to do) on a weekend. I parked in the central parking garage and walked over to Terminal E. The Global Entry Enrollment Center is a little walk past the Dunkin Donuts. I hate driving to the airport so I only go there if I have to either pick up my parents or drop them off. This time I had to go to my Global Entry interview. It was scheduled in the afternoon which I thought was perfect as I'll miss the traffic. I got there 45 minutes early and I was called in right away. The interview itself lasted 5-7 minutes. I have to give credit here for a very positive experience with getting some documents changed, which is so rare and a breath of bureaucratic fresh air. For a global entry name change after marriage, as other reviewers have noted, you just show up, wait for an employee to come out, and ask to be seen between other scheduled appointments. I was near-immediately brought back (9:30AM on a Friday), the employee was super friendly, and the process was so quick (just show your old global entry card, new passport, and new drivers license). Snagged an unexpected cancellation this week, even though the TTP site always seems to say "No appointments available at this site". It was a piece of cake, - ample parking, no crowds and friendly agents. A few tips: (1) The agent told me available appointment slots are released on the 1st for that month. They're typically gone within days, if not hours. (2) Cancellations happen, but it's just kismet if you snag one. (3) As you enter the terminal from the street, the office is on the far right. Ignore other signs for Customs & Border Control. Global Entry has its own office. (4) With few flights now, there is plenty of parking in the outdoor lot right in front of the terminal. Follow signs for arrivals, stay in the left lane as you pass the terminal and circle around to the the parking entry on the back side. Good luck! read more

A truly horrible experience. I went Friday 4/26 as a walk in and arrived at 7:05. There appeared to only be two employees working and they had a very apathetic approach to their work. They did not call their first two appointments (7:15) until around 7:20 if not later and were consistently behind for the remainder of my two hours sitting there. They were both rude and dismissive to nearly everyone that was in the room. I asked around 7:40 if I could be a walk in and was immediately told no. They said you can only do this by appointment and they would call people off their list. I said that I understood and would wait just in case. Later an agent came out and called for someone and they were not present. I asked if I could take her place and was told no because she might show up and they would need to switch all of the criminal investigations. At several points I was the only person sitting in the room and an agent would come out and then just go back in. There was no reason they could not have seen me - they simply refused to do their job. This was a very negative experience and completely different from when I went to the Federal building after this. Instead of calling my names, the agents simply asked who was next in the time slot. When no one was left for the time slot I was seen immediately. Big shout out to George who was an outstanding example of what a federal employee should be. I am so grateful that the next time I need to renew Global Entry I will no longer be living in Boston. The two agents at Logan were some of the worst employees I have ever seen and I feel truly sorry for anyone who needs to complete the interview at Logan. read more

OK this was so simple and so fast. After applying online and getting conditional approval for global entry / precheck, I set up my appointment. (Check your account for this--I didn't get a note that I'd been conditionally approved). On the morning of the appointment, I drove over, parked in Central Parking ($7 for an hour) near Terminal E, and made my way to the office. It was about 5 mins from my parking spot--you have to cross a pedestrian bridge and go down to the first floor. Look for the Dunkin's kiosk--the entry is to the right of it. I just saw down in the waiting room--no one to check in with--and within a couple minutes later an officer came out to get me for my appointment--a little before my appointment start time. I brought my license and passport, I was in and out pretty quickly and made my way back to the garage. Honestly, the hardest part was finding my car because Central Parking is... not easy. Ha. I want to start by saying that when I searched for Global Entry to write a review, I thought it was funny that people actually write reviews about the TSA Security Checkpoints at Logan. Those people must not know about TSA Precheck and Global Entry. My Global Entry experience went like this. I applied online about 5 months ago. The online application wasn't too bad, although I had to list every employer I've had which was a long list in my case. After filling out the application, you're instructed to check back every day to see if you've been pre-approved. Once you're pre-approved, you can schedule an interview. Unfortunately, it takes months to get an interview as lots of people want to be international VIPs. When it came time for my interview, I followed Tanya's instructions to head towards the Dunkin Donuts at the baggage claim level. There are signs next to Dunkin Donuts instructing you where to go from there. The waiting area is very small and was packed with walk-ins. If you don't have an appointment, you're allowed to wait and they will take you in the event of a no-show or last minute cancellation. When it came time for my interview, an agent came out to get me. She was very friendly and the entire process was quick and painless. If you don't make any small talk, you could probably be in and out in 10-15 minutes (I'm a talker so I was in there longer). TIPS I parked in Central Parking. If you're in and out in under an hour, it's only $7. Bring your PASSPORT, your license, and a print out of the pre-confirmation letter (you can sign back into the GOES website to get it). read more

Aight, here's the run down. My scheduled interview for Global Entry was 10/25. It is 9/12 today and I walk out officially enrolled! When you drive to the airport, go to Terminal E Arrivals. Get dropped off close to where you enter the terminal. When you enter through the doors you will see a Dunkin Donuts. To the right of DD you will see signs for the enrollment office, and it will be on hour left down the corridor. I got there around 9:45AM and doors open at 10:00AM. There was one other lady and her child waiting, also a walk in. As 10:00AM moved closer, more people scheduled for an appointment that time came. The officer made sure to say that walk ins are welcomed, but double made sure that we knew that there were no guarantees. 10:15am appointment came, then 10:30am, then 10:45. At this point, they're gunning through appointments fast as if we in McD's, and at 10:20am, they finished whatever 11am appointments that had came early. Nevertheless, they began taking walk in's, and I was luckily number 2 in line for walk ins. I was in and out no more than 5 minutes when I was called in. Unfortunately, there's no way to really say who arrived first for walk-ins, or no walk-in sign in list, so it's all on the code of honesty. All in all, this experience wasn't as bad as I thought. I went to the enrollment center this morning to change my name on my existing membership after getting married. I had called ahead and be informed that you did not need to have an appointment to do this; instead, you need to go to the center and be "squeezed in" between appointments. While a bit confusing, I recommend the following: 1) Park in Central Parking for Terminal E (if you are in/out in less than one hour, it costs $8) 2) Use the footbridge to enter the terminal and head down to the arrivals floor 3) Look for- and pass the Dunkin Donuts kiosk and immediately after, you will see signs for the Global Entry Enrollment Center 4) Upon entering, take a seat in the waiting room as there is no help window and instead 5) Flag down the first customs officer that comes out of the locked door and alert them you are there to "change a name on an existing membership post marriage" 6) The customs officers will fit you/others in on a first come, first serve basis between scheduled appointments 7) Once the customs officer takes you inside, it is a painless process and less than 10 minutes to update In total, I waited about an hour start to finish and the customs officers were very helpful. Ensure that you have your existing global entry card with you and your new passport information. read more

Just to add to this incompetence. So as I mentioned in my earlier post, I called numerous times to see if they did enrollment on arrival, cuz I was getting nowhere with these clowns. I took my trip and on re-entry I literally stopped and asked 5 Customs Border Patrol personnel. None of them knew the answer. I eventually found the office, tucked away down the hall from a Dunkin Donuts. It was 3 pm on a Tuesday. The place was closed. No doorbell, nothing. This is a total joke. read more

Easy peasy. Park in Central Parking at Logan. Keep your ticket so you can pay inside the terminal (actually...the walkway from the terminal to parking) on your way out. Follow signs to Terminal E. The bridge from Central Parking to Terminal E is on Level 4. When you get to terminal E, take escalators or elevators down to arrivals/baggage claim level (2 levels down). Technically, the Global Entry enrollment office is still to the right of Dunkin...just further to the right than previous. You'll see the star logo on a sign outside the waiting room. Just plop yourself down; there is no "check in". I arrived 20min early for my appt. There were 2 people there already but one guy was a walk-in. An officer will come out to run through names on the appt list. There were a couple of no-shows so I was "next up". Process was literally under 5min. Handed the officer my passport, driver's license. He took my picture, fingerprints, and I was out of there. He did ask if I was ever arrested or called before a judge...so I guess if your answer is something other than "no", your mileage may vary. As of Oct. 2020, the Dunkin Donuts kiosk that other Yelpers had previously mentioned is no longer there as a marker, but the place is easy to find. Go to Terminal E's baggage claim area (which is street level), head toward the Baggage Recheck/Transfer section -- this is labeled in HUGE lit letters on the wall so you can't miss it. The Global Entry Center is near it, right next to the restrooms and across from Carousel 1. I had an appointment for 8:30am and was there on time. Chairs in the waiting area are positioned to comply with the social distancing rule; there were only 4 or 5 yesterday given the small space. I was attended to right away, and the officer who conducted the interview was very nice and pleasant. Was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Easy peasy. read more

I came in here today without an appointment because I just needed to change my name on my existing membership after getting married. (I called ahead and they said just to come in with my Global Entry card and updated passport.) It's a bit disorienting when you first walk in because there's a customer service window ... with no person behind it. The window is obscured and there's a sign that says to take a seat and wait. Every single time someone walks in, they ask the people waiting if there's someone to check in with. It's all a very mysterious operation. Every 5-10 minutes, an officer opens the door and calls someone's name. If you are trying to get a walk-in appointment, you need to quickly tell the officer before they retreat back into the room with the next interviewee. There's very little time to do this, and when you do, they'll probably say "I'll check," and then go away for a while. You might wonder if they actually heard you, but they do seem to take note of the strays. I saw another person there who was also just updating his info, and he was called in shortly before me. In total, I waited about 30 minutes, which wasn't bad. (For reference, someone who was there with an appointment was seen just 10 minutes after her scheduled time.) It just would have been nice to see more signage about what to expect/do upon arriving in an unstaffed waiting room! read more

The office is located down the hall that is to the right of the Dunkin Donuts at the baggage claim level in Terminal E. Application approval seems to vary, but standard wait time seems to be about a week. After conditional approval of application, the standard available appointment dates are unfortunately a few months away (was about 5 months for me). But if you keep refreshing the scheduling system every hour or so, you can often catch an appointment that's much sooner, and even within a month from those who cancel their appointments last minute. Even the staff at the office recommend constantly checking the scheduling system since the system is updated in real-time. I showed up 15 minutes early and was done with my appointment before the scheduled time. Office was filled with walk-ins (which they allow, but seems like the wait time is significant and you're not guaranteed a spot). (other online forums are really helpful for tips for the process!). read more

Officers were prompt, professional, courteous and friendly. I came a few minutes early for my appointment. The officer did ask if I had an appointment and I said I did. I was taken inside immediately and the whole process took under 10 minutes. The center was clean and easy to find. Parking was as usual challenging at Logan but I was able to exit within the hour from the Central Parking garage. The hardest step to getting approval was finding a slot for the personal interview. The bookings and cancellations happen at a high and seemingly random rate and I had to diligently try for a few days in a row before finding a suitable interview slot. The slots flew in mostly in the late evening and early morning. The more desirable slots were taken within minutes. I know because I missed quite a few before I got one!! The whole process from submission to final approval took less than 10 days. Good luck and don't give up. read more

The interview process at the Global Entry Enrollment Center was rather painless. Getting there and going through the traffic and finding parking was more stressful than the actual interview process. Remember to go to the arrivals area of terminal E where the baggage claim is and the entrance is on the right (facing) Dunkin Donuts. Just keep going straight and you will see the Global Entry Enrollment Center. There is no signing in or way to check in, you just sit there and wait for an officer to open the door and call your name. I recommend getting there early, 15 minutes before or more than your appointment time because if they are going through the interviews fast, your name may be called even before the appointment time and if you are not there, they keep going through the list and interview someone who is already there even if their appointment is scheduled to be much later than yours. Bring your passport and driver's license or valid Id with your address on it. Smile for the camera. My interview would have been faster if the fingerprinting machine cooperated, I had to do the fingerprinting twice because the machine was acting up and the officer had to clean/wipe and restart it. read more

After I was approved, the earliest appt between BOS, NH, NYC, and CT was Jan 2020 - 4 months out. I live in BOS and went to this enrollment center as a walk-in, and both agents promptly told me "we do not take walk-ins here" - which is not the case if you read other reviews down thread, nor is it communicated anywhere...there were times when they called names and no one was present, and I asked if I could be slotted in, but they told me there was "only two of them" and "too much paperwork with a walk-in" aka they didn't want to be bothered even though I was obviously prepared w/all my paperwork. Each "interview" only took 5-10 min and all they did was take fingerprints - as reported to me by folks as they left. I even had multiple people advocate that they let me in as I casually chatted with them about why I was still waiting, and the agents refused. Waste + ineptitude at its finest. read more

I went to my interview as per my appointment on 6/11/18 at 3:45pm.My husband also had an appointment. The appointment was fine, very polite officer, talked to us for a while, we both left under the impression that everything was ready, and as he stated only to wait for the Global entry card. My husband card arrived 1 week after on 6/18/18, however mine has not come as yet(6/17/18) over 2 weeks post appointment, and I has been unable to contact the office.I hope someone could tell me what to do.Thanks read more

You will wait about 6-8 months for an appointment and they don't accept walk ins. The one on Causeway is no longer there although it's still on the website, that was a fun trip. Do yourself a favor and just drive up to Derby Line, VT where you can get a next day appointment. It's long but a nice trip. read more

So - my previous entry described how I arrived for my daughter's appointment and the computers were down. We couldn't come back on the rescheduled day as we were out of the country. Finally with school starting, no imminent travel plans - I got back to Logan on Tuesday December 18. They were just about to close for the day but took us right away - were very nice and said we were all set. Of course the government shutdown happened 4 days later - but I would have thought her application made it through before things closed. Apparently not. Still waiting for her online application to show some activity and to get the card. Don't know if I should wait or go down again to Logan. Wrote them and got a form letter.
