We decided to drop by to check the place out without any notice. They were very friendly and helpful in showing and comparing the various materials they had in stock and could order from their vendors. Even right between major holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) they were able to schedule the templating and the installing within a week of each other to complete the job. Both the person templating and the people doing the install were very professional and quick. The templating was laser measured and took less than 30 minutes. The installation was a little over an hour and they attached the sink and drilled the holes for both the faucet and the airgap/push button onsite. I would caution against using this company. Andrey, the sales manager has no respect for women and talks down to them. Their prices are about 50-75% higher than three other bids we got and their shop is very small compared to larger granite companies. This limits the kind of work then can do. In addition, they asked us to order two extra slabs of material which is very costly. Since it was not needed for the job, where is that material going that we were told was needed when in fact, it was not. The owner of the company, Demetri, is so removed from his company that he is unaware how customers are treated by Andrey and does not call back if he is even given the message. I can promise that if you use Global Granite, you will pay much more and not get the quality you expect for the money you pay. read more

They did an A++ job. I worked with Andrey, who was a great communicator and insured that everything stayed on schedule. I was told one countertop would need a seam because of its length, but they surprised me by being able to cut it out without a seam. Our experience was very positive overall and I would recommend them. We had a quartz countertop, undermount sink, and backsplash installed in our kitchen atop new IKEA cabinets and the end result was better than expected. We visited their offices to see the options in person and Constantin walked us around their workshop and warehouse to show us the full size slabs. It was cool to see the machines they used to cut the slabs and also see the materials. From there, they came in and took measurements and the install. The turn around time was a few weeks overall, faster than I'd expected. The installer and measurement teams were all professional and courteous. Constantin kept in touch via text along the way so we knew what to expect. After the install, we noticed a small mark on the countertop. Constantin sent over a crew to assess and they did a really nice job fixing the issue. I was impressed with how fast they responded and did it without hesitation. Their response to this impressed me since I know it is not easy to come back to a job. That pushed this to five stars in my mind. They have their specialty repair guy coming to fix some cracks in my granite and I needed a single basin giant kitchen sink to replace the joke of a small 2 basin one in my amazing kitchen, but the way my set up is put together there was literally only one single sink made my Franke in the entire world that would work. We picked an exotic granite for the kitchen counter top that has a lot of swirling. The aid of the computer software and the experience of crew laid out the template to really hide the seams that were required of the big area from two slabs. The fabrication was done in under a week. Then the installation duo drove all the way to Westport, did a phenomenal job of tearing out the old top and installing the new one all the time cleaning as they worked. The experience on the job was evident. The state of the art sealing tool helped to make the final assembly perfect. Every contractor has his feel-good moments when the job gets done right and the customer is happy. But the real test of a contractor is how he acts when things go wrong. Things go wrong at times, even for the best of contractors, and where granite slabs are concerned, problems can be very costly. We bought two exotic granite slabs for a large do-it-myself kitchen remodel. I wanted to do my own layout, using photoshop, and Global Granite was very friendly and flexible in working with me. The slabs were on hold for a long time while we prepared the kitchen floor and installed the cabinets. When finally Global came out and installed the slabs, they were beautiful, but my wife later noticed a tiny crack in the island top. Upon close examination I became concerned about the location of the crack near the fulcrum line of a deep overhang. The company sent two front office people out. They offered to make a cosmetic repair. Being an engineer, I tried to explain to them my concerns that this was a structural issue, not merely cosmetics. I assume they had never had Engineering Statics 101, Theory of Beams, so it's not their fault if they didn't understand what I was talking about. I let them know we were not satisfied and we wanted the ($8000) slab replaced. They said they would send the owner out to talk to us. So I was feeling defensive when the owner, Dzimitri, came by, but he was so smooth and understanding, it was a pleasure to deal with him. He had studied engineering in Russia, so he understood my engineering analysis immediately. He explained that it might not be possible to get another matching slab, because it had been such a long time we had had it on hold, but he made us a deal to take the slab back to the shop and add reinforcing steel and also write us a special lifetime guarantee, and also throw in a generous rebate for all our trouble. He explained that keeping his customers satisfied was his top priority, and he understands the power of the internet, that people really do read these reviews. So they came out and pried up this big, heavy island top and took it away. Later they called and said they had had a problem, that more cracking had occurred while machining it. So Dzimitri had called around to the other granite companies and found a matching slab, cut from the very same block, which he bought from his competitor. So in the end we got a whole new slab, and he also threw in some extra pieces with the leftover granite from the new slab. So when it comes to customer satisfaction, Dzimitri really put his money where his mouth is. He lost a lot of money on this job, and so my wife is now happy with her beautiful new kitchen and her big granite island, that she has wanted for a long time. Thank you Dzimitri. read more
