Global lawn design run by Tony Brown. Beware, and run. He doesn't deserve 1 star even. He was hired to do a ramp on our front porch. He a d his crew were a joke. He came super unprepared and was using secrete. We watched as he layed some formwork that was very shotty and bad shape. At that point we stopped him. Our contractor stopped payment on a partial payment check he had given and sent him on his way. 3 months later we got a call from our contractor that Tony Brown had waited 90 days and cashed the check that a stop payment had been issued on. Apparently it only protects you for 90 days. Tony knew exactly how many days to wait as though he had done this before. He got money for a job he didn't do and was fired from due to terrible quality work. He is a crook and does bare minimum using cheap materials and methods. He needs to be shut down.​ read more

Unfortunately, you cannot give NO stars because that is what I would rate this company/person (Tony Brown). He did a patio deck and backyard sod for me and at the time the company name was something else. Evidently, he changes the name of his company every couple of years. Probably because he gets so many bad reviews he must. It has been a little over two years and the deck is falling apart and the sod died a few months after he install it. He said his guys tilled and put new soil down before he laid the sod, but they did not. It was during covid, and I watered exactly how he said (being at home every day). The deck is now being torn down because it is falling in everywhere and is an accidental hazard waiting to happen. All the underneath foundation wood is rotting, and the underneath of the top wood is also rotten. This person should find another line of business because he is clearly not good at this one. However, maybe his profession is taking people for their money for worst work and service ever. read more

Global Lawn Design aka Global Home Design, Tony Brown (and who knows whatever else he goes by) He will come and do the job, but God forbid you have a problem. You can kiss your money goodbye with him. He promises to come back and fix his mistakes but once he is paid good luck. We paid him in advance because he was a referral and figured we could trust him. He begged for the job claiming to need the money, we felt bad and figured we would support the small business owner. So this guy is doing Landscaping, concrete slab work, and large irrigation jobs !! He's not qualified to do any of them. He put in a French drain for me that does not slope correctly and instead of the water flowing through the drain when you fill up the furthest drain's from the outlet it just fills with water. Since water seeps it own level it will NEVER flow over a hump if the grading was not done correctly. This is common sense for anyone working with water solutions. The licensed Irrigator I had out to inspect the work Tony did told me the drain would never work. He also repaired my sprinkler system which cost me an additional 500 Dollars. Tony's response to all of this ??? "I knew you were going to screw me out of my money" 1. I told Tony to call Dig Tess AGAIN because I was concerned they didn't mark the Gas line in my back yard. Tony told me he called But he never did. Guess what ? Tony hit the gas line then tried to repair it with Shark Bite Fittings !! Luckily the propane company was scheduled for a delivery that day and they saw this joke of a repair job and told Tony the Same thing I did you can't use shark bite to repair gas lines and the funny thing about this is he told me he does that all the time. So how many times has this guy fixed gas lines he busted with shark bite fittings ?? 2. I told Tony to run all the sprinklers to see where the lines were so he could avoid them ...he said yeah yeah yeah I got it. He never checked the lines and hit not only that gas line but he hit the main water line to the sprinklers along with the main electrical line going to the Sprinkler valves. All those lines are color coded and when they spliced them they did it wrong !!! They had to dig it back up and repair them in which case they shorted out my system. So yeah this cost me 500 bucks to fix. 3. At this time Tony started getting annoyed and I asked him not to come back to my property. His response was quoted above. 4. Luckily, since he didn't finish the Job I still had half the money. But I'm left with a 300 foot French drain that does not work, Tony used the wrong materials after I told him I wanted PVC he used the cheapest crap from home depot, and its sloped incorrectly. I'm not an irrigator but I know the concept of French drains and I told Tony this didn't seem to be sloping properly of course he didn't listen/ didn't care he was trying to finish this fast and get the other half of his money and leave me with a mess. 5. IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY WORK DONE BY THIS MAN AND HAVE GAS LINES THAT HE HIT PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE QUALIFIED DIG THEM UP AND HAVE THEM REPAIRED CORRECTLY . GAS CAN BE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IF NOT REPAIRED CORRECTLY AND SINCE TONY TOLD ME HE REPAIERS THEM ALL THE TIME THE SAME WAY HE TRIED TO DO MINE (WITH SHARK BITE FITTING) YOU COULD HAVE A POTENTIAL SERIOUS SITUATION ON YOUR HANDS SO PLEASE CHECK. read more

Do not use TONY or anyone associated with this company. They promised it all and seem good, once you pay them they will not even return to clean up. Have concrete and irragation issues and they did crappy work all around and will not even return a call. Worst service and experience I have ever encountered. I saved up to put a patio in my backyard and I did my research on local contractors to use for this project. I ended up using HomeAdvisor.com because I have used them to find other talent, for other projects and it was a great experience. So after speaking with a few contractors I ended up going with Tony from Global Lawn Designs because of his passion and experience. The project went underway and even got completed in a timely manner, Tony was involved every step of the way. I thought it came out great, I was so excited... I even gave a great review on HomeAdvisor.com! A week after completion of the patio it started cracking throughout the concrete. I am not talking about settling... I am talking about earthquake size cracks. It was clear that proper supports were not established or concrete was watered down... something was not right. I reached out to Tony right away and he got back to me in a day or so saying he was out of town and will fix it. Time went by... more cracks produced... deeper they got and actual erosion started occurring around the entire new concrete foundation. Then the roof started leaking, the beams started rusting and what looked like a beautiful piece of art was now falling into pieces. I reached out to Tony several times... sending pictures, texts, expectations... he would reply when he felt like it. He stated he stood by his work and would repair what he thought was necessary. He reached out to me stating he was going to come out and start to fix it.... he never showed, he never called and I have not heard from him since. This was a few weeks ago... I told him that I will be pressing charges to get a full refund. Still not answer. Do not do work with this company... it is a rip off and Tony does not care that it is your property and hard earned money. read more
