This restaurant struggles to find its identity. At first they had a great menu but closed for several months and then reopened. The new reopening came with a very limited menu and nothing that made this place special. The menu basically consist of fried bar foods and hamburgers. The quality of the food is terrible. We waiting for three months to finally return hoping it improved and it has only gotten worse. My message to management is that you should pay attention to your customers, train your staff, and improve the quality of the very limited. There should be no reason to have such a limited menu and still prepare such bad quality food. read more

I just moved back to GA and Purchase my home in Lagrange I didn't know about Global Sports Bar until my Sis happen to find it and called me right away it was so nice and close to me even though it was late and they was about to close when I got their I was speechless, it was very very clean, everyone was so nice and welcoming. the food she had looked delicious but I had already eaten. I went back last night because they had girls night out, I writing this review because i'm not for sure if people in Lagrange know of Global Sports Bar and how amazing everything is from the Music to the food. Global opened then closed briefly and recently reopened after making some changes. I'm glad to have another restaurant on our side of town and was excited to try it. We ordered the boneless wings, regular hot wings, and a burger. Had regular fries and onion rings, and would have tried the sweet potato fries but they were out. Everything we had was good. Fries could have been seasoned a little better but otherwise all the food was really good. I was glad they carry local Wild Leap beer. Service was good and everyone was really friendly. Great food, great atmosphere I highly recommend this restaurant! On Friday nights they have karaoke night, it's a open mic. The environment is a good environment to bring your kids to enjoy the meal. We will definitely comeback. read more

We'll give the Global Sports Bar a second try and maybe change the three star rating, but our first experience was definitely not great. My fiancé and I opted for a late dinner and went to this restaurant since they don't close until 11:00 P.M. Walked in at 9:30 and seated ourselves. Ordered some cocktails and wings as appetizers. Took forever to receive wings...almost 30 minutes. Finally we received wings and were then also ready to order our entrees only to be told that the kitchen closes at 10:00...ummmm really! That would've be good to know when we ordered appetizers or to have it somewhere indicated on the menu or website. Our server followed up with that someone should've told us when we came in. Well, that would've been great if someone was there to seat us. They ended up indicating that they'd drop some more wings for us and threw in a order of fries on the house. On the second round of wings we ordered garlic parmesan...mistake! They were fried then drizzled heavily in what appeared to be ranch dressing with cold shredded parmesan sprinkled on top of them. Maybe they improvised since the kitchen was closing/closed but regardless this was a big NO! Atmosphere and aesthetics was nice, cocktails were good after I traded one of the specials for the night the watermelon martini for a Long Island ice tea instead. Was karaoke night so music and individuals singing were entertaining. Menu is somewhat limited and verdicts still out on actual dinner entrees since we were unable to be served dinner. May change my rating if and when we give it a second try. read more

Our first time here, staff is pleasant a d friendly. We came during lunch, husband and nephew ordered burgers, plus side they Wii cook rare patties. I got hamburger steak with baked potato. There weren't many full tables in the place but our food was slow getting out. The loaded potato was missing the sour cream and the cheese tiptoed through. I have eaten at Global about 5 times. The food has been great! I particularly like the Catfish dinner with sweet potato fries and the Nacho appetizer. It was so huge it fed a table of 6. I like the atmosphere and the geographic location is cool because its' the best food in that area. read more

Very long wait times for food, been there twice, last time orders were wrong, first time had a party of seven , took over an hour to get appetizers then finally food cAme out in different time increments. Second visit not busy at all, on a Sunday afternoon, lots of wait staff, took a while to get drinks and food and my salad was all wrong. Took forever for waitress to ring us out, if they want to stay in business got to pick it up. Oh and chips were way over cooked for the dip. Should not have left the kitchen like that. read more

We just moved to LaGrange, and have eaten here twice so far. Both times the food was great. The burgers and fried green tomatoes are excellent. The pimento cheese is as good as my mother in law's and that's a big compliment. There were a couple of minor hitches (server forgot our salads, for example, but we took them home for the next day, no biggie. She was young and learning the job) but nothing that a comfy setting and really tasty food won't overcome. We met the manager and as one whose been a server, I was very impressed with him. Restaurant managers are the ones who set the tone and this guy was good. I'd have worked for him any day. I think once the kinks are worked out this could quite easily be our new favorite place. read more

Service much improved. Fried green tomato appetizer was really good. True south burger was good. The fried catfish was the worst I've ever had. One bite and I was done. We'll go back but do yourself a favor and stay away from the catfish. Gross. read more

Global Sports Bar now offers trivia on Monday nights, which was the reason for my visit on the Monday Night before Xmas. We do trivia regularly on Wednesday night at Your Pie with Brian from the Trivia Factory, who encouraged us to give the Global Sports Bar a try. Due to the number of poor reviews on Yelp, I was skeptical but thought I would give them a try and I'm glad I did. The menu is mostly pub fare. Wings were the special of the night. Our party of 7 ordered every kind of wings on the menu, onion rings, and fried green tomatoes. Our food was delivered in about 15 minutes, accurate, fresh and delicious. In particular, the garlic Parmesan wings were the best I've ever eaten, as was the fried green tomatoes with homemade pimento cheese. Everything was delicious and our waiter was attentive and courteous. The trivia was fun with some seriously good competition. In all it was a great evening out and I have every intention of returning for more trivia and sample more of their menu.
