I had a very disappointing experience with Global Stone Trading. I purchased $4,500 worth of White Cashmere granite tiles for a large kitchen and family room, 500 square feet (min order). It appears that the granite was actually manufactured, ie factory made and not natural stone, which resulted in a subpar product. The tiles were brittle, chalky, and crumbled easily, had no uniformity in size and thickness, while traditional granite, quarried as a natural stone exhibits unique veining and texture variations while traditional granite. All this made installation a nightmare. A significant amount of material had to be scrapped. The floor continues to crack even after installation. In addition, upon delivery and installation, I noticed significant discrepancies between the sample provided to me and the final product. The sample I received prior to my purchase looked nothing like the tiles that were delivered. The actual tiles were hideous and lacked any aesthetic appeal. They had noticeable black splotches resembling spilled ink, making them unsuitable for my space. The tiles, in addition to being visually unappealing, caused me great frustration and have significantly impacted the overall look of the room. Given that the delivered tiles are drastically different from what was shown to me, I am extremely dissatisfied with this purchase Now, the entire floor needs to be replaced, essentially wasting $4,500 plus thousands of dollar for the installation, extreme disruption and unwarranted stress. Not to forget to costs for the new material and installations, and yet more disruption and stress. Additionally, the general contractor had the granite delivered to their warehouse, and I wasn't able to inspect the tiles' quality until after the subfloors, which were based on cement, had already been put in place. By then, it was too late to address the quality issues before installation. I strongly advise caution when making a purchase, as the quality of the product did not meet my expectations, and I feel misled by the discrepancy between the sample and the actual tiles. Given my experience, I strongly suggest that prospective buyers personally examine the quality of the tile before installation. While the materials carried by this company could be great, it's important to inspect them thoroughly before making a purchase to avoid any surprises. On a positive note, I will say that the customer service and responsiveness regarding fast delivery were very good. The team was efficient and ensured the tiles were delivered promptly. read more

I asked for help identifying some stone tile and they went as far as taking pictures of the actual tile on hand and sending it to me versus a small tile sample. The prices, including shipping to the east coast, were far better than anything I could get locally. All of my tile arrived intact, not a single one was damaged in a shipment of over 3,500 lbs. Last summer a pipe burst in my kitchen causing enormous financial and emotional distress. I was hesitant to buy online from a company I had never done business with. I was looking for calacatta marble for a master bath reno. The owner told me that marble sold by big box stores does not compare in quality to his company's marble. I though he was just trying to make a sale. I had gotten a price from a big box store that was about $2 per square feet cheaper. But I wanted my bath to read LUXURY so I bit the bullet and bought the calacatta . It arrived today and I AM FLOORED AT THE QUALITY!!!! I am having my guest bath done in marble that I bought from a big box store. My installer took one look at my calacatta and said "Now this is a quality marble". He held up a piece of the guest bath marble to the light and asked me to hold up a piece of the calacatta. The light shown through the big box marble. Not the calacatta!!!! The edges on the calacatta where straighter ,the finish much shinier, and the weight was heavier. Just a beautiful product well worth the price. If you factor in the delivery charges, had I ordered locally, I would have paid more for delivery. This is a beautiful product and I can't wait to see it in my master bath. I would definitely recommend this company.
