Instead of taking SOME responsibility for the error, they charged a restocking fee and didn't help with shipping so the return cost ended up to be greater than the original purchase. A simple fix would have been to waive the restocking fee and charge me for the return freight on their account to keep the cost down, but no. It's a shame too. they would have gotten 5 stars if any effort was made to make this right.

But my contractor could not install it due to some unforeseen circumstances. When we opened the boxes months later we noticed that the refrigerator was missing. I did not expect anything from the company since it was my fault most probably that I did not check the shipment correctly or the refrigerator was stolen or something else. I still contacted with the company just to ask them if they could check if they sent the item. They checked and confirmed that it was sent. But surprisingly they sent me a replacement free of charge as a compliment. The customer service by BHARATI was very timely, effective, courteous and responsive. She called me and sent emails enough times about this ticket and for other purchases I placed later and a couple delivery problems. I don't know about the products' quality or durability as they are still not installed but I am very confident if I have further problems the company will stand by their products. Overall, great company, greater customer service and greatest representative.

I was irritated but agreed to the following Saturday (today, 7/25/2026). An hour before the scheduled time for the install I received a text that they couldn't come today. However, DirectBuy was more expensive compared to what I could find locally or online, especially after factoring in all their hidden charges for mark-up, handling or shipping (and most items don't even ship to the home - you have to pick it up from the store or pay a second shipping fee to have another company ship it from the store to your home). One thing I liked when I signed up is they have this minimum guaranteed savings (e.g., hardwood flooring could be a minimum 20% cheaper guaranteed than any price available to the public). The problem was the staff in-store refused to honour this guarantee, providing different non-nonsensical excuses. Add to this their completely antiquated e-commerce website where you need to click through to the checkout page before you can see the true cost for an item, and this was all a huge waste of time. Don't bother with the travel side of the company either. I just got another telemarketing call from them and the guy wouldn't tell me what the fees were, at first pretending like my membership was still valid in his system, and kept on just beating around the bush.
